ROYAL HOBO'S JACK

This is Royal Hobo's Jack. Jack is approx. seven years old. This horse has the smoothest canter you can ever find on a horse. His Bloodline is considered top of the line in quarter horses. His grandfather is Two Eyed Jack. Two Eyed Jack is in the Quarter Horse Hall of Fame.

Let me tell you a little story about Jack. Jack is one heck of a horse, but like me he's a little (O.K. a whole lot) hard headed. This has caused us more than one head banging session. I was picking Jack and Dakota up to bring them to my daughters birthday party. Being that I was running a little tight on my schedule, naturally Dakota loads in the trailer perfectly. Jack on the other hand has a difference of opinion. After fighting with him for about 15 min. to get in the trailer (mind you it's about 90 degrees outside). I say forget this #*$@%! I tie jack to the back of the trailer and figure let him run for a little while. After about 3 miles I stop the truck and see if Jack is ready to get in yet. Of course Jack still wants to make his point, so off we go again. After about 3 more miles Jack is so tired and he's jumping for the opportunity to ride in my fine trailer. About 6 months later I run into this guy and he starts telling me and some others the darn'dest story of how this idiot was pulling a horse behind this perfectly good trailer. Needless to say....I just kept my mouth shut!

One last thing about Jack. Jack has been known to embarrass me on more than one occasion. One time while camping at Daisy Mae lake, I was cantering Jack up to a friends camp. Next thing I know, there he goes into a free for all bucking session. As he starts bucking up to my camp, there are ropes strung from tree to tree to tie the horses up. About this time, I'm looking for a good place to land, so I don't get my neck caught on one of these ropes. As I so expertly hit the ground, I'm thinking, I'm gonna kill that horse one day. The next morning I wake up with a bruise from my spine around to my belly button. Needless to say, there will be no more riding for me that weekend. Of course, this 11 year old girl rides him for the rest of the weekend without a bit of trouble. I think Jack is to much like me. He's partial to women......lol
