Clark County held a 28-20 lead early in the thrid quarter but Madison Central scored four straight touchdowns to take a 49-28 lead on their way to a 49-35 victory. This was a game of surges as Clark County held a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and 21-20 at halftime. The score was tied 28-28 at the end of three quarters but Madison Central outscored the Cardinals 21-7 in the final quarter.
Madison Central used a balanced and punishing ground attack to roll up 349 yards on 51 carries for a 6.8 average per carry. Clark County's Ryan Williams continued his quick start this season by running for 213 yards.
Madison Central recorded 19 first downs and 367 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized six times for 35 yards and had a pass intercepted. Clark County had 10 first downs and 300 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized six times for 41 yards lost two fumbles.
Shane King led the Madison Central ground game with 143 yards and a touchdowns on nine carries. Isaiah Kavanaugh carried the ball 16 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Keshawn Simpson added 76 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Zac Coldiron completed one of 11 passes for 18 yards with one interception. Nathan Harrison caught one pass for 18 yards. Keshawn Simpson led the defense with two solo and 10 assisted tackles. James Ballew led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles. Austin Hunt added three solo and eight assisted tackles.
Ryan Williams led the Clark County ground attack with 213 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries. Andrew Dini completed six of 13 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Jim Mabe caught two passes for 18 yards and two touchdowns. Jarran Thomas caught one pass for 74 yards and a touchdown. Robbie Hisle led the Clark County defense with eight assisted tackles. Josh Webb added three solo and four assisted tackles.
