Greenwood (5-4) vs. Scott County (8-1)

Scott County led 41-14 after three quarters on their way to a 41-21 victory over Greenwood.  Scott County rolled up 458 yards of total offense in the first three quarters and substituted liberally in the last quarter.  The Cardinals got off to a fast start on Brandon Lawson TD runs of 17 and 44 yards by the 5:40 mark in the first quarter.  Scott County averaged 7.7 yards per rushing attempt tonight on 50 carries.

Scott County recorded 18 first downs and 479 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 14 times for 121 yards and lost one fumble.  Greenwood had 17 first downs and 330 yards of total offense.  They were penalized two times for 11 yards and didn't suffer any turnovers. 

Jose Smith led the punishing Scott County ground game with 172 yards and a TD on 16 carries.  Smith also caught a 51 yard scoring pass.  Anthony Sandoval carried the ball eight times for 90 yards and a TD.  Brandon Lawson added 74 yards and two TDs on five carries.  Lawson completed four of six passes for 70 yards and a TD.  Corey Cronin completed all four of his passes for 24 yards.  Eric Sanders caught three passes for 24 yards.  Sam Payne led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles.  Anthony Sandoval added five solo tackles. 

Cory Henon led Greenwood's ground game with 20 yards on six carries.  Ty Downing completed 13 of 32 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns.  Cory Henon completed seven of 14 passes for 81 yards.  Chris Page caught six passes for 87 yards.  Cory Henon added five receptions for 90 yards and a TD.  Bradley Whittak led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Matt Brashear added three solo and six assisted tackles.
