Sherwin Farhoudi kicked a 47 yard field goal with 12 seconds remaining in the game to give Tates Creek a 38-35 victory over Bryan Station. Tates Creek took a 21-7 lead after the first quarter. Bryan Station battled back and took a 35-28 lead on a one yard run by Donald Wilhite with 5:48 remaining on the clock. Tates Creek tied the score at 35 on a five yard run by Ty Sparks and a conversion kick by Farhoudi with 2:22 remaining on the clock. Tates Creek got the ball back on an interception by Damon Boggs on the Tates Creek 48 with 1:34 remaining in the game. The Commodores drove to the Bryan Station 29 and on fourth and two Farhoudi nailed the game-winning kick.
Tates Creek recorded 26 first downs and 373 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 14 times for 113 yards, lost a fumble, and and had a pass intercepted. Tates Creek ran 73 plays on offense compared to 45 for Bryan Station. Bryan Station had 11 first downs and 325 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized seven times for 63 yards, lost a fumble, and and had a pass intercepted.
Ty Sparks led the Tates Creek ground game with 272 yards and three touchdowns on 46 carries. Mike Stone completed eight of 16 passes for 81 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Robert Knowles caught three passes for 25 yards. Robert Knowles led the Tates Creek defense with four solo and five assisted tackles. Brent Abshire and Jon Meadors each recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.
The Bryan Station ground game was led by Donald Wilhite with 71 yards and a TD on 17 carries. Lance Morton completed six of 17 passes for 230 yards with three TDs and one interception. Terrell Combs caught three passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. J. Lewis-Barfield added two receptions for 73 yards and a TD. Jordan Taylor led the Defender defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles. Taylor also intercepted a pass. Earl McCan added five solo and four assisted tackles. Kris Bolton chipped in with five solo and three assisted tackles.
