Lafayette jumped out to an early 20-0 lead on their way to a 27-9 victory over Bryan Station. Mistakes cost Bryan Station as three of their lost four fumbles resulted in Lafayette touchdowns. James Mayes returned a fumble for 38 yards and a TD in the first quarter. Mark Morris recovered a fumble at the Bryan Station 1 late in the first half and Darnell Burnside scored on a one yard run with 17 seconds left in the half to give Lafayette a 27-3 lead.
Lafayette recorded 14 first downs and 252 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 10 times for 70 yards, lost a fumble, and and had two passes intercepted. Bryan Station had 17 first downs and 246 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized five times for 70 yards and lost four fumbles.
Darnell Burnside led the Lafayette ground game with 85 yards and a touchdowns on 19 carries. Logan Bunch completed 10 of 21 passes for 126 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Chris McAskill caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Eric Shaw led the Lafayette defense with four solo and five assisted tackles. James Mayes added five solo tackles and returned a fumble 38 yards for a TD.
Donald Wilhite led the Bryan Station ground game with 86 yards and a TD on 21 carries. Ray Philon added 43 yards one eight carries. Lance Morton completed eight of 20 passes for 84 yards. Terrell Combs caught five passes for 61 yards. Ray Philon led the Defender defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Najee Calderon added three solo and two assisted tackles.
