Woodford County (5-2) vs. Scott County (4-2) October 6, 2006

QB Trenton Fields has led the Woodford County offense this season and has completed 74 of 147 passes for 1364 yards and 16 touchdowns.  Shawnie Lewis has 32 receptions for 668 yards and eight touchdowns.

Scott County has lost two high scoring shootouts to Lexington Catholic and Henry Clay this season.  The Cardinals have a stable of talented backs including Keith Smith and Malcolm Clay.

After a scoreless first quarter, Scott County exploded for 41 points over the next two quarters on their way to a 41-12 victory over Woodford County.  The Cardinals ran for six touchdowns including three TDs by Keith Smith.

Scott County recorded 16 first downs and 318 yards of total offense including 303 rushing yards.  The Cardinals fumbled the ball five times but only lost possession once.  They were penalized four times for 26 yards.  Woodford County had 12 first downs and 213 yards of total offense.  The Yellowjackets lost a fumble, had a pass intercepted, and were penalized four times for 30 yards.

Keith Smith led the Scott County ground attack with 107 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries.  Malcolm Clay carried the ball 10 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns.  Jimmie Warren added 58 yards and a TD on four carries.  Cody Andrews completed one of three passes for 15 yards.  Jimmie Warren caught one pass for 15 yards.  Jake Turner led the Cardinal defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Trey Reveal added two solo and six assisted tackles including 3.5 tackles for losses totalling 13 yards.

Steve Duckworth led the Woodford County ground game with 21 yards on one carry.  Lamar Raglin carried the ball 12 times for 16 yards.  Trenton Fields completed 11 of 17 passes for 163 yards with one TD and one interception.  Sean Sobolewski caught three passes for 75 yards and a TD.  Nick Nicholson led the Yellowjacket defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Shawnie Lewis added three solo and three assisted tackles and Josh Wilson recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.
