Henry Clay (6-0) vs. Woodford County (5-1) September 29, 2006

The potent Henry Clay offese has been led by QB Ryan Phillippi, who has completed 88 of 124 passes for 1057 yards with 17 touchdowns and two interceptions.  Clark Jeter has 38 receptions for 528 yards and 11 touchdowns.  Aaron Boyd has caught 25 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Minnifield has recorded 23 receptions for 278 yards and five touchdowns.  Dontey Gay has led the Blue Devil ground game with 381 yards and two TDs on 67 carries.

QB Trenton Fields has led the Woodford County offense with 1359 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.  His favorite target has been Shawnie Lewis, who has caught 28 passes for 618 yards and eight TDs.  Jamaal Pickens had 18 receptions for 366 yards and six TDs.

Henry Clay raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead, holding Woodford County to 52 yards before intermission in a 40-7 victory.  The Blue Devils had two special teams TDs, one on a 20 yard punt return by Tyler Hooker and another on a 38 yard blocked punt return by Hooker.

Henry Clay recorded 17 first downs and 344 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils lost a fumble and were penalized eight times for 51 yards.  Woodford County had nine first downs and 159 yards of total offense.  The The Yellowjackets were penalized seven times for 60 yards.

Dontey Gay led the Henry Clay ground game with 78 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Ryan Phillippi completed 13 of 20 passes for 200 yards and a TD.  Aaron Boyd caught four passes for 46 yards and Clark Jeter added three receptions for 77 yards.  Chase Minnifield also caught three passes for 42 yards and a TD.  Tyler Hooker led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Bill French added two solo and five assisted tackles.

Trenton Fields and Lamar Raglin each recorded 29 yards on the ground for Woodford County.  Fields completed three of six passes for seven yards and Steve Duckworth completed eight of 14 passes for 82 yards and a TD.  Shawnie Lewis caught four passes for 51 yards.  Jamaal Pickens added three receptions for 22 yards and a TD.  Wayne Hanley led the Yellowjacket defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles including three tackles for losses totalling eight 14 yards.
