Fulton County (2-0) vs. Lafayette (2-0) September 2, 2006

Coach James Bridges' Fulton County Pilots are a Class A team that has started the season with a 2-0 record.  They have beaten South Fulton (TN) 56-18 and Reidland 57-35.  Fulton County has been led by 6-1 175 pound QB/DB Johnathan Roberson, 6-0 225 pound RB/LB Tari Bishop, and 6-1 170 pound WR/DB Chaz Dial.

Coach Mike Harmon's Lafayette Generals hav also gotten a fast start out of the gate with victories over Mason County and Jeffersontown.  Lafayette's offense has been led this year by 6-4 193 pound Jr. QB Logan Bunch, 5-9 156 pound Sr. RB Corey Layman, 6-3 205 pound Sr. WR Chris Tune, and 6-0 159 pound Jr. WR Tommy Gifford.

Lafayette raced out to a 21-0 halftime lead and tacked on 24 more points in the third quarter in a 45-0 rout of Fulton County.  The Lafayette defense held Fulton County to a net one yard in 39 rushing attempts.  Logan Bunch had a big afternoon for the Generals as he passed for four touchdowns and ran for another score. 

Lafayette recorded 14 first downs and 333 yards of total offense.  The Generals had one pass intercepted and were penalized nine times for 77 yards.  Fulton County recorded 10 first downs and 107 yards of total offense.  The Pilots fumbled the ball eight times, losing possession twice and had one pass intercepted.  They were penalized once for one yard.

Corey Layman led the Lafayette ground attack with 60 yards on 10 carries.  Ty Stevenson added 31 yards and a TD on three carries.  Logan Bunch completed 10 of 22 passes for four touchdowns with one interception.  Chris Tune caught two passes for 79 yards with two touchdowns.  Trey Shaftner led the Lafayette defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jordan Petit added four solo tackles and a fumble recovery.

Johnathan Roberson led Fulton County's ground game with 12 yards on 13 carries.  Roberson completed five of 15 passes for 106 yards with one interception.  Chaz Dial caught two passes for 69 yards.  Tony Udley and Tari Bishop led the Pilot defense as each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Chaz Dial and Ryan Amberg each recorded four solo tackles.
