Bryan Station (1-7) vs. Tates Creek (1-7) October 21, 2005
Tates Creek overcame a 28-14 deficit at the end of three quarters to defeat Bryan Station 35-28 in overtime. This is the second week that Bryan Station has lost in overtime as they dropped a triple-overtime decision to Woodford County last week. Tates Creek took a 35-28 lead in overtime on a one yard TD run by Brandon Turner and a conversion kick by Chris Kirchner. Bryan Station took possession but was stopped on a fourth-and-goal play from the 13 as Terrell Combs was sacked for a loss of 17 yards by Dale Smith.
Tates Creek held a 408-331 yard advantage in total offense and enjoyed a 22-16 advantage in first downs. Tates Creek lost one fumble and was penalized six times for 50 yards. Bryan Station lost a fumble, had a pass intercepted, and was penalized six times for 55 yards.
Ty Sparks led the Tates Creek ground attack with 317 yards and one touchdown on 38 carries. Brandon Turner added 41 yards and two TDs on 12 carries. Pete Nochta completed one of six passes for six yards. Nick Griggs led the Commodore defense with four solo and four assisted tackles. Dale Smith added four solo and three assisted tackles including three tackles for losses totalling 32 yards. Ladarius Thomas also recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.
Bryan Station's ground attack was led by Magic Lawton with 101 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Terrell Combs added 99 yards and a score on 13 rushing attempts. Stephen Morton carried the ball 11 times for 50 yards and a score. Terrell Combs completed three of 10 passes for 61 yards with an interception. Dahran Mason led the Defender defense with one solo and 12 assisted tackles. Magic Lawton recorded eight solo and three assisted tackles while Jeremy Byrd added four solo and eight assisted tackles. Wes Wilson chipped in with six solo and four assisted tackles.
