Bourbon County (0-1) vs. Bryan Station (0-2) September 5, 2003

Coach Chuke Williams Bourbon County Colonels opened the season with a loss to Sheldon Clark, but RB Robert Christopher provided a bright spot with 177 yards on 27 rushing attempts including a 70 yard TD run.  Bryan Station is seeking its first victory under new head coach Traye Moore.  The Defenders opened their season with losses to Madison Central and Clark County, but RB Chris Seals and WR Jamuan Andrews have provided a spark on offense. 

Bryan Station utilized a high octane offense (407 yards) and an opportunistic defense (recovered five of eight Bourbon County fumbles) to give coach Traye Moore his first victory at Bryan Station by a score of 48-8.  Bryan Station got off to a rocky start as Bourbon County's Robert Christopher returned the opening kickoff 79 yards to the Bryan Station nine yard line.  Four plays later, Christopher scored on a six yard run and added a two point conversion to give the Colonels an 8-0 lead.  Bryan Station took advantage of Bourbon County miscues to take a 28-8 halftime lead and added 20 fourth quarter points to close out the scoring. 

Bryan Station was led tonight by QB Drew Moran who completed nine of 17 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns.  Larmont Lawson caught six passes for 216 yards including TD receptions of 66 and 72 yards.  Chris Seals carried the ball 14 times for 109 yards and TD runs of 51 and 13 yards.  Seals also had a TD reception.  The defense also got in on the scoring as Daniel Campbell scooped up a fumble in the second quarter and returned it 88 yards for a score.  Corey Blackburn led the Defender defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  RB Robert Christopher led the Bourbon County offense with 188 yards on 29 rushing attempts.  Christopher also returned five kickoffs for 118 yards.
