I. Name

The name of this organization shall be Manual Anime Society (MAS), the Anime Society of duPont Manual High School.

II. Statement of Purpose

The purpose of this organization shall be to spread awareness of Japanese animation to the Manual community, and to enjoy distinctive art work of and culture behind Japanese animations.

III. Membership

No student will be denied membership in MAS due to either race, ethnicity, age, sex, nationality, religious or sexual orientation, physical or mental capacities, or GPA-status; membership may be denied to, or revoked from, any member who is not courteous or is abusive of fellow members.

IV. Officers

-President-
Position Holder: James Stephen Schroeder
Rights and Responsibilities
Representative of the organization. Looks over all the activities of the organization, makes any emergency decisions, make future plans, authorizes any expenditure. Coridinates Officers, Members, Meetings, and Showings. Maintains relations with publishing companies for authorization to view legal materials.

-Vice President-
Position Holder: Lucretia Elaine Martin
Rights and Responsibilities
Assists president. Act as president while the position is vacant. Responsible for managing chairspersons of Committiees.

-Treasurer-
Position Holder: Seth A. Thomas
Rights and Responsibilities
Keeps records of all financial accounts and transactions. Plans all financial events (ie. fund raisers and money making components of events). Control the flow of money in and out of the organization. Responsible for preparing the budget.

-Secretary-
Position Holder: John Elliott Jones
Rights and Responsibilities
Maintains all related documentation and materials. Maintains the roster of membership. Maintain a record of meetings/showings. Maintain all correspondence to and from MAS. Maintains personel library of tapes.

-Executive Advisor-
Position Holder: Joshua Reynolds
Rights and Responsibilites
Advises council in all important matters. Must have extensive anime/manga knowledge and connections. Shares leadership responsibilities with secretary in the absence of both president and vice president.

Additional Positions Voted For as Required.

V. Committees

Comittiees are composed of at least 3 persons for the pourpose of compleating a task or investigating an issue. Committiees make a report per meeting. Current required committiees include Fundraising, Budget, Internet Webpage maintainer, and Public Relations. Additional committiees authorized (by President and 2/3 vote) as needed.

VI. Meetings/Showings

Meetings are held biweekly in 320, Lecture Room. Showings are held biweekly at appropriate location.

VII. Finances

All the members are required to pay $2.00 due to the treasurer every month. The treasurer shall be responsible for all the collection and disembursement of funds. However, all the expenditures shall be authorized by the president.

VIII. Amendments

All amendments must be passed by a 3/4 vote of the voting membership and must be introduced by either a voting member or a committee.

IX. Ratification

The Constitution will go into effect when more than 2/3 of members agree on it.
