Chapter 8

"Julie will you please go get AJ up. You would think he would be able to get up on time for his wedding," Kristen's mom said. Julie went to AJ's room and knocked on the door but he didn't answer. She opened the door and saw AJ sprawled out on the bed. The blankets were only covering part of him and she saw that he was sleeping completely naked.

"I am not going to touch him to get him up," Julie said going into the bathroom and filling a cup up with water. She went back into his room and threw the cold water on him. AJ flew up in a second. AJ looked at Julie then looked at himself and saw that he was naked and he jumped back in the bed and covered himself up. "No need to freak out. I've seen plenty of guys before and you're no big surprise," she said walking out.

"What a great way to start the best day of my life," AJ said getting up and going into the bathroom. He grabbed some aspirin out of the medicine cabinet to help soothe the slight headache he had. He took a shower then got dressed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. As soon as he finished putting his shoes on Kristen's dad walked into his room.

"Are you cheating on my daughter?" he asked.

"What?" AJ asked half confused, half surprised.

"I asked if you are cheating on my daughter."

"No. I would never cheat on her."

"Then what were you doing with Cassie last night?" her dad asked since he knew who Cassie was because her and Kristen used to be best friends.

"You have no need to ask me questions about cheating on Kristen. Never in a million years would I ever screw up my chance to be with Kristen," AJ said pissed off.

"If I ever find you cheating on my daughter I'll make your life miserable. She loves you and I won't allow you to hurt her," her dad said walking out of the room. AJ stood there completely confused. He grabbed some of his stuff and walked into the living room to see his mom sitting on the couch.

"Hey Mom, when did you get here?" AJ asked giving Denise a kiss on the cheek.

"About ten minutes ago. I thought I would take you over to Jane's house."

"That'll be great. I'm going to go get my suit and I'll be right out," AJ said leaving. He got his suit and dress shoes then met back with his mom in the living room. "When are you guys go to get to the Carter's?" AJ asked Kristen's mom.

"We'll be leaving in about a half hour."

"Alright, I'll see you at the wedding then," AJ said about ready to walk out the door when Angel came running up to him.

"Can I go with you?" she asked. AJ looked at Julie to see if it was okay and she nodded her head yes.

"Sure, come on," AJ said handing Denise his stuff and picking up Angel to go to Jane Carter's house.

"Kristen, you are going to have to calm down," Mandy said as she was painting Kristen's nails in a french manicure. Mandy, Kristen, Toni, Theresa, and Angela had gotten to Jane's house about an hour earlier and were all getting their hair done by hair stylists that agreed to help out. Mandy was trying to paint Kristen's nails but her hands were slightly shaking causing her to mess up and having to start over.

"I can't help it. I'm going to be marrying AJ in two hours and I've never been so nervous in my life."

"I have super glue. We can just glue her hands to the table if you want," Theresa said.

"Yeah and you just remember that it was me who chose you as a bride's maid and it was me who chose for you to walk with Kevin," Kristen said and Theresa had a huge smile on her face.

"I will kiss that man before the night is over."

"You just keep telling yourself that Theresa," Toni said.

"I will and you'll see when my lips are pressed up against Kevin's lucious lips," Theresa said with an even bigger smile. Mandy gave Kristen a weird look.

"Don't worry about them. I think you are the only friend I chose wisely," Kristen said to her.

"I see the love," Toni said.

"Yeah I know, there is none."

"Blow on your nails so they will dry," Mandy said as she finished painting her nails.

"Thank you," Kristen said as they all began getting their hair done. Toni, Mandy, Theresa, and Angela all had their hair done the same way. It was pulled up into a twist in the back with curls coming down around their faces and little purple roses in their hair. Kristen's hair was put into a bun type thing on top of her head and then her hair was curled around the bun. All of the bride's maids dresses were a light purple and were sleeveless and the straps were about an inch thick. Around the straps, the collar, and the bottom edge of the dress were lined in purple jewels. The maid of honor's dress for Toni was almost exactly the same except her dress was spaghetti strapped and the whole straps were jewels. Kristen had just gotten her hair finished and was about to go change into her dress when Angel came running into the room giving Kristen a hug.

"Your hair looks pretty," Angel said.

"Thank you," Kristen said giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Toni will you help Angel get into her dress?" Kristen asked handing her the dress. Toni took the dress and Angel by the hand and went to help her get in her dress. "Angie help me out with my dress please."

"Sure," Angela said helping her out. "This dress looks so good on you," she said when Kristen was dressed. It was a tube top type dress. From the top at her chest to her waist tight and was white velvet and the top and bottom of the velvet was lined in jewels just like the bride's maid dresses except her's were white. The rest was all white silk and it slowly flared out going to the bottom of the dress. The train on the back of the dress was about five feet long. Kristen was wearing white gloves that went up to just below her elbows and they came down across her hands like a "V" and only had an elastic band that went around her middle finger on both hands so that all of her fingers were showing. "Here let me help you with the veil," Angela said taking it from her and setting it on her head.

"Well? How do I look?"

"You look beautiful." Kristen heard someone say behind her. She turned around to see her mom standing behing her.

"Hi Mommy," Kristen said giving her mom a hug.

"You must be nervous if you're calling me mommy," her mom said. "Where's your little flower girl?"

"Right here," Angel said. Cindy turned around and her, Kristen, and Angela saw Angel standing there in a light purple, short sleeved, ruffled dress. She had a little wreath on her head made of light yellow ribbon and little purple roses. She was carrying a small white basket with yellow ribbon on it and in it were purple and yellow rose petals.

"You look so cute!" Kristen said giving Angel a hug.

"Are all of you ready?" Cindy asked. Everyone nodded their heads or said yes except for Kristen who just stood there. "What's wrong?"

"I....I'm just a little nervous," Kristen said as her eyes began to water.

"Come here baby," Cindy said wrapping her arms around her daughter. "You can't start crying. You don't want to have red eyes when AJ sees you walking down that aisle."

"I know," Kristen take taking a tissue and wiping her eyes without smearing her make-up.

"Here, you forgot to put this on," Cindy said handing her a leg garder. Kristen sat down on a chair and put it on her leg.

"Hey, you ready to go?" Kristen's dad asked her. Kristen nodded her head yes as she took her father's arm.

"So, you ready for this?" TJ asked AJ. The others were in the house getting ready to walk out with the girls.

"More ready than ever," AJ said with a smile. "I can only imagine how beautiful she is going to look," he finished saying when he saw Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees come up to him.

"When do you want us to start singing?" he asked AJ.

"Um, during the reception. Don't let Kristen see any of you until then. I really appreciate this from all of you."

"No prob man," Nick said shaking his hand. "Good luck." AJ went to stand where they were to be wed and TJ went to stand next to him when Denise came up to them.

"Here you forgot to put these on," she said handing them both a boutinere with a yellow rose. She helped them on put their black jackets. All of the guys were wearing black suits with yellow vests underneath the jackets and yellow rose boutineres. "I love you," she said as the wedding march began and she took her seat. First Toni came out walking arm in arm with Nick and went and stood in their places. They were followed by Angela and Brian, Theresa and Kevin, then Mandy and Howie. All the girls were carrying small bouquets of flowers with purple carnations and yellow roses. Then Angel came out walking across the pool walk way throwing down purple and yellow rose petals. Then the bridal song began playing and everyone stood up. AJ stood straight up and wasn't a bit slouched as he saw Kristen start walking with her dad. He smiled as he saw how beautiful she looked. He could tell that she was really nervous because the bouquet that she was carrying was shaking back and forth. Her bouquet looked exactly like the others except it was much larger with a lot more flowers in it. Kristen's dad gave her to AJ and then went and took his seat. AJ turned to Kristen and pulled the veil back over her head so that he could see her face and saw a huge smile. They turned to the priest as he began to speak.

"We are here today to join Kristen Bonnell and AJ McLean in holy matrimony. If anyone here thinks that these two should not be wed speak now or forever hold your peace." There was silence and then someone yelled from across the yard.

"Wait!" Kristen and AJ turned around to see who it was and they saw Cassie running across the yard and as she approached them. "I can't let you do this Kristen," she said looking her straight in the eye."

"It's not your decision. You weren't even invited so I'm going to ask you this once. Please leave."

"No, not until you let me say why I can't let you marry AJ."

"Why?" Kristen asked knowing that Cassie wouldn't leave.

"Because I slept with him last night."
