Chapter 64~About a Month Later~
Kristen woke up at about two in the morning and began shaking the life out of AJ. "What do you want to eat now?" AJ asked tiredly rolling over in bed just for Kristen to smack him. He looked over at her and saw her just sitting there staring at him not saying word. He reached over and turned on the lamp to see tears streaming down Kristen’s face. "I’m sorry baby, what’s wrong?" he asked then felt that the sheets around Kristen were damp. "What the hell?" AJ asked partly to himself as he pulled the sheets back on the bed.
"I’m early again. First I was two months early with Mariah and now a month early with this baby. What the hell is wrong with me?" AJ flew out of bed and fell over as he tried to get his pants on as fast as he could. He then helped Kristen out of bed and into the car and flew into the driver’s seat and slammed on the gas in reverse pulling out of the driveway. "What the hell are you doing!" Kristen yelled at him.
"We need to get you to the hospital! Does it look like I have the capability to help you give birth to our baby!"
"Obviously you don’t have the capability to do shit! You just left our daughter at home alone with the front door wide open!"
"Shit," AJ said as he turned around in the middle of the road and pulled back up the driveway. He went into Mariah’s room to find that she was still fast asleep. "Come here baby," he said carefully picking her up in his arms. Mariah woke up half way and yawned as she leaned her head against her daddy’s chest and held onto his shirt with one hand and she began falling back to sleep. He carefully put her in her car seat and got back in the driver’s seat and pulled away once again. "Nick’s house is on the way to the hospital we’ll drop Mariah off on the way there," AJ said picking up his cell phone and dialing Nick’s number.
~At Nick’s House~
"What the hell do you think you are doing!" Toni yelled at Nick.
"Will you lay off my ass woman! When the phone rings it’s only common sense to know that you are supposed to answer it!"
"If you decide to talk on that damn phone instead of getting me to a damn hospital I will spread your damn comic books all over the damn floor and give birth to this baby on them!" Toni yelled as she started hitting Nick.
"We are never having another kid after this one!"
"That shouldn’t be too hard to make sure it comes true because I am never letting that skanky ass dick of yours in me again!"
"Then I can get this marriage easily annulled because of lack of sex from my wife!"
"You are such a typical male! All you think about is sex!"
"Get your ass in the car woman!" Nick yelled at Toni aggravated as hell with her.
~Back in AJ’s Car~
"They aren’t answering the phone," AJ said turning his cell phone off. "I’ll stop by their house and hopefully they will hear the doorbell."
"AJ please just get to the damn hospital! I don’t want to be having this baby in your car," Kristen yelled.
"Speaking of that, did you put a towel or something on the seat in case anything comes out of that body of yours that will stain my seat?" AJ asked as Kristen smacked him causing him to swerve the car a bit. A few minutes later AJ pulled up to Nick’s to see Toni walking out of the house with Nick as she was hitting him.
"See my twin knows when there is something wrong with me and she was coming to see me," Kristen said with a smile on her face as AJ got out of the car.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Nick asked AJ.
"I called to tell you we were going to stop by to drop Mariah off since Kristen decided she wanted to go into labor in the middle of the night."
"Oh no, you too?" Nick asked as his face dropped.
"My twin is going to give birth with me!" Toni yelled as she tried to run to the car but it looked more like she was walking. Kristen got out of the car and went up to Toni. "We’re going to have our babies together!" Kristen yelled excitedly at Toni.
"Girl you can’t! You’re a month early!" Toni yelled back at her as they both started crying.
"Oh hell no," Nick said. "Just because they were pregnant together doesn’t mean they have to have our babies together."
"Do you have a problem with that Carter?" Kristen asked with an attitude.
"Oh no of course not. Why would I? If I did I would have two pregnant bitches on my ass."
"Just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I can’t beat your ass till you don’t have one Nickolas!" Toni yelled at him.
"Come on Toni, you and Nick can ride in our car with us," Kristen said.
"Um, Kristen, there isn’t enough room with the car seat," AJ said afraid that Kristen would yell at him or something.
"Well take the damn car seat out. We aren’t that far from the hospital and I can hold my baby girl. Any questions?"
"No!" Nick yelled really fast. "Kristen I would be happy to take the car seat out for ya." Nick took Mariah out giving her to AJ as he took the car seat out and just left it in the yard. Kristen and Toni climbed in the back seat and AJ put Mariah in the seat belt between them as she leaned her head on Kristen with her arm and her big tummy with Kristen holding onto her.
"We’ll drop Mariah off at my mom’s house instead, I guess," AJ suggested.
"Your mom lives on the other side of town! My baby can come with us! Just get us to the hospital!" Kristen yelled at them. A few minutes later they arrived. Toni and Kristen were helped into wheel chairs to be taken to the same room since Kristen and Toni refused to be separated. AJ gave Mariah to a nurse who offered to take her so AJ could be in the room with Kristen. When AJ got in the room Kristen was laying on the bed with her feet up in them thingys as she was crying and sweating like crazy. On the other side of the room Toni was in the same position except she was yelling and screaming at Nick.
"Well Mrs. McLean, you are fully ready to give birth to your second baby," Dr. Miller said after examining Kristen over.
"I am a month early! How is it I am always early yet you still tell me that I’m fully ready! I’m not!" Kristen said crying as AJ stood next to her holding onto her hand.
"You need to stop being afraid to give birth early. Premature babies are born every day and are perfectly healthy," Dr. Miller told her. "I saw your baby girl out there with the nurse and I do recall she was two months premature and look how beautiful and healthy she is. This baby will be exactly the same way."
"Yeah except Mariah is a girl and hopefully this one is a boy," AJ added on and Kristen glared at him.
"I want to see Mariah," Kristen said.
"Babe, I don’t think Mariah should be in here," AJ said.
"I don’t care what you think!" Kristen screamed as the nurse came in carrying a fully awake Mariah. "Come here baby," Kristen said as AJ took her and held her as she kneeled on the edge of the bed.
"Give mommy a big kiss," AJ told her and she leaned over and did and also wrapped her arms around her mommy’s neck.
"You promise this baby will be just as healthy as my first little miracle?" Kristen asked as AJ picked Mariah up off the bed with Kristen holding onto her hand.
"If not healthier," Dr. Miller said. "Are you ready now?" she asked and Kristen nodded her head. She let go of Mariah’s hand and grabbed tightly onto AJ’s hand as she was instructed to push. AJ’s face cringed up as he heard and felt all his knuckles in his hand popping as Kristen squeezed his hand. Mariah began to hold onto AJ as tight as she could as she saw her mommy in pain.
"Dr. Miller," one of the nurses said coming up to her. "The other girl, Mrs. Carter, is ready to give birth."
"Okay hurry up and go get one of the other doctors," Dr. Miller said as the nurse left and came back with a doctor to help Toni out.
"Now you have to push you know that right?" Nick asked as his face looked like a white sheet since he was nervous as hell. Toni looked at him for a few seconds then swung her arm off the bed and punched Nick in the balls. "Ah fuck!" Nick screamed grabbing himself as he fell to his knees practically in tears.
"Don’t ever try and help me Nickolas Gene Carter! You don’t know anything!" Toni yelled at him.
"I’m trying to be supportive here!" Nick yelled catching his breath. "You didn’t have to punch me there!"
"Why not! That dick of yours is what put me in this position! At least now it shouldn’t work properly so we won’t have a problem!"
"Okay Mrs. Carter we need to get this baby out so on the count of three I want you to push, 1…2…3…………..". Kristen gave one last final push as her second little baby came into the world crying it’s eyes out.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. McLean. You have a little baby…."
"Wait!" Kristen yelled interrupting her. "I want AJ to tell me," she said out of breath. AJ handed Mariah to a nurse to look at his second baby and a huge smile formed on his face. He looked at Kristen as tears began streaming down his cheeks. He leaned down and kissed Kristen firmly on the lips.
"Like I said, I’m the man and if I want a baby boy, you’re going to have one," he said with a smile on his face and Kristen wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him close to her and crying.
"I want to hold him," Kristen said as the nurse wrapped the baby in a blue blanket and carefully placed him in Kristen’s arms. AJ picked Mariah up and held her as she kneeled on the side of the bed next to Kristen again.
"Say hello to your baby brother, Mariah," AJ told her and she put her hand on his head and rubbed his head gently. A few seconds later Kristen and AJ looked over to the other side of the room as they heard crying again.
"Thank God!" Nick screamed soon after.
"Why is it a boy?" AJ asked.
"I have no idea but at least the thing is out of her and she will stop being bitchy all the time!"
"Mr. and Mrs. Carter, you are now the proud parents of your first little girl," the doctor said wrapping a pink blanket around her and handing her to Toni.
"I want to name her Kalisa Gene" Toni said with tears coming out of her eyes. "What do you think?"
"Hell, you can name her anything you want to," Nick said kissing Toni on the forehead.
"Well, what do you want to name our son?" AJ asked Kristen.
"Well when I was pregnant the first time with a boy when we had broken up I wanted to name him Alex, after you. Not Alexander though, just simply Alex," Kristen said.
"Then I think we should name him Alex Lee."
"Why Lee?"
"If he’s got my first name he should have your middle name."
"Alex Lee….I like that," Kristen said with a smile as AJ kissed her again.
