Chapter 29"Merry Christmas to you too," AJ said kissing her back. "What time is it?"
"It's almost two. We slept in late."
"Considering we didn't go to bed until three in the morning I think we would," AJ said stretching. "We have to get to Jane Carter's house for her annual Christmas party. Go ahead and get in the shower first, you take longer to get ready."
"Oh thanks," Kristen said sarcastically. "But come on you're joining me," Kristen said getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom. She started the shower and got in followed by AJ a few minutes later. "It's about time you cared to join me," Kristen said wrapping her arms around AJ. AJ just smiled and gently pushed her against the shower wall and began kissing her. "I don't think so," Kristen said shoving AJ away after a few seconds.
"Why not? You weren't shoving me away last night," AJ said with a smile.
"Because the last time we had sex in the shower I ended with a large bruise on my back. I would prefer to remain bruiseless for the rest of the tour."
"Hey that was an accident."
"Well, I'm just preventing any more accidents from happening," Kristen said with a smile. She grabbed the wash cloth and began washing herself when AJ grabbed her hand and took it from her.
"Let me wash you," he said. Kristen just smiled and kissed him on the lips. When they finished showering AJ went into the bedroom and got dressed while Kristen stood in front of the mirror in a towel brushing her hair and teeth. When she was done she went into the bedroom to see AJ standing there in a pair of green dress pants and a red tie.
"I really hope you plan on wearing a shirt and jacket with that."
"I'd prefer to go naked since that is when I'm most comfortable but I don't think Toni should see me naked again. I might poke her eye out or something."
"Oh please. AJ we've been through this before. You're not that big," Kristen said as she picked up her dress bag that she took on tour with her to get the dress out she bought to wear on Christmas.
"Oh yeah? That's not what you were saying last night."
"That's because last night you were 'happy' to see me," Kristen said dropping her towel and pulling out the red dress she bought.
"I'm getting a little happy right now too," AJ said to himself as he looked at Kristen's body. Kristen put on the red, velvet, spaghetti strapped dress. It wasn't too short and wasn't too long and the whole thing was tight on her. "Now that is a nice dress."
"You only like it because it's tight."
"But of course. It shows all your nice curves," AJ said wrapping his arms around Kristen's waist. "The no underwear thing is nice too," AJ said as he grabbed her ass.
"You only wish," Kristen said getting out a pair of red thong panties and slipping them on. "Can you see the waist band to my underwear through the dress?" Kristen asked turning around and AJ shook his head no. Kristen did her make-up and put her hair up in a bun on the top of her head with curls surrounding the bun. She then put tiny candy cane jewels in the curls. "Are you almost ready yet? We have to be there soon," Kristen hollered through the bathroom door at AJ. He had been occupying the bathroom for well over an hour since Kristen got out.
"Yeah I'm done. Are you ready for this?"
"Ready for what?"
"This," AJ said opening the bathroom door. Kristen took one look at AJ and started busting up laughing. "What is so funny?"
"Have you taken a look in the mirror?" Kristen asked still laughing uncontrollably. AJ was wearing green dress pants, a green shirt, a red tie, and a red jacket that had green holly leaves all over it. The berries that were on the holly leaves had little lights in them and were flashing. He had also dyed half of his head red and the other half green.
"Yes and I think I look very festive for this special holiday occasion. You do know that this is our first Christmas together as a married couple don't you?"
"Yeah and I don't want to spend it with you looking like an idiot. But it's a great joke so hurry up and put on the outfit you are really wearing tonight."
"It's not a joke. I'm wearing this."
"Oh no. I'm not going to be seen in public with you looking like that."
"What is so wrong with it might I ask?" AJ asked.
"AJ your hair is red and green and you're wearing a jacket that lights up and flashes berries. Are you going to tell me there is nothing wrong with your outfit?"
"Hey, I dare to be different. You should have known that before you decided to marry me."
"Oh I knew it. I just never that you would look like a walking advertisement for Christmas."
"I don't find you funny. It's your job to look sexy and it's my job to look different. And we are both doing very good on our jobs. Now shall we leave before we are late?"
"Fine," Kristen said. She put on a velvet three-fourths sleeved little velvet jacket thing that went up right under her arms to wear over the red dress.
"You don't need to wear that you looked fine without it," AJ said.
"Only to you but in Toni's eyes she would think I was dressed like a slut."
"So, you would still look good." Kristen just rolled her eyes at AJ as she grabbed her purse and left the bedroom. AJ grabbed his car keys and him and Kristen got in his car and drove to the Carter household. When they got there they were the last ones to arrive. Kristen went into the house and Toni came running up her.
"Hey sister!" she screamed hugging Kristen. "I missed you! You need to stop leaving me!"
"Gees you are worse than AJ," Kristen said hugging her back.
"I do recall you were the one who came flying into my arms and wouldn't let go of me," AJ said overhearing them. Kristen just gave him an evil look.
"Come on we have three weeks worth of catching up to do," Toni said pulling Kristen away.
"Can you please explain to me why it is that every time Kristen is around I lose my girlfriend?" Nick asked AJ.
"Probably for the same reason every time Toni is around I lose my wife," AJ said.
"Considering it is Christmas now, have you told AJ yet about the baby?" Toni asked Kristen in the kitchen as they were helping Jane with Christmas dinner.
"You're pregnant?" Jane asked Kristen and she nodded her head. "That's great," she said hugging her. "How far along are you?"
"Just about two months."
"And you haven't told AJ yet?"
"No, I was planning on telling him today. I thought it would be a great idea to tell him about it on Christmas."
"Well congratulations to you both."
"Thank you," Kristen said as the timer on the oven went off for the ham. She took the ham out and went and set it on the table with all the other food. A few minutes later everyone sat down at the large table.
"AJ, you asked to say a prayer tonight so go ahead," Jane said.
"Alright thank you," AJ said then began. "The year is almost over so I'm thankful for all of us being here to spend this special holiday with each other. The Backstreet Boys have made it through what has to be the best year of our career lives and all five of us are thankful for that and even more thankful that we have so many loved ones that supported us all the way to the top. This has had to have the hardest year for all of us, especially Kristen and Toni. After everything these two girls have been through this year I'm happy to see them alive, healthy, and looking as beautiful as ever sitting here with us tonight. So thank you Lord for everything you've given us all this year through all the hardships. Amen."
"Amen," everyone else at the table said. Kristen was sitting next to AJ and she leaned over and kissed him. When everyone was done eating they all went into the family room where they would exchange gifts. After about an hour or so the only gifts left were the ones Kristen and AJ had gotten for each other.
"Here, open your gift before I open mine," AJ said handing Kristen a large box. She opened it and pulled out a basketball and a volleyball that were on the top of the box. Then she pulled out a volleyball uniform and a basketball uniform. She saw that on the jersey tops to both uniforms they had her old numbers on the back then embroidered on the top of the backs it said 'K. MCLEAN' for Kristen McLean. She then noticed that the uniforms were the Central High School uniforms that she wore for all the games she played in.
"How did you get these?" Kristen asked.
"After you decided to tell me that you played volleyball and basketball in high school I thought it would be a good idea to get your uniforms you wore for the games. I called your parents up and asked them your numbers then called your old school and I bought the uniforms from them and got your name embroidered on the back. Do you like them?" AJ asked.
"I love them, thank you so much," Kristen said hugging AJ and then kissing him.
"Okay that's great now will you please give AJ his present? I'm beginning to get impatient to see his reaction," Toni said.
"Chill out okay? Here," Kristen said nervously handing AJ a small box. AJ opened it and pulled out a 24K gold chain that had a 24K charm on it that said '#1 Dad' and the '1' was made of small diamonds. AJ just sat there staring at the charm with a confused look on his face.
"So what do you think!?!" Toni asked yelling excitedly.
"I think I'm completely confused. I mean it's great but I don't have any kids so I'm not a dad unless you were..." AJ said then stopped and looked at Kristen who had a smile on her face.
"Pregnant?" Kristen asked finishing his sentence.
"Yes you dumbass she's gonna have your baby!" Toni yelled jumping up and down.
"Will you sit down?" Nick asked pulling on Toni's skirt to try and make her sit down. Kevin had his video camera going since he was filming all the opening of presents and Toni ran over to him and took it from him and zoomed it in on Kristen and AJ. AJ stared at Kristen for a couple of seconds then grabbed her hand and pulled her up as he jumped to his feet. He wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up off the floor and began kissing her then started swinging her around and cheering.
"I love you so much Kristen Lee McLean," AJ said setting her back down on the floor.
"I love you too Alexander James McLean," Kristen said as AJ kissed her with one of his hands on the small of her back pushing her towards him and his other hand he placed on her stomach. After about an hour or so AJ was finally calmed down and everyone was just hanging around the house talking to each other.
"Congratulations man," Kevin said to AJ as Kevin stood there with his arm around Kristin.
"Thanks. Honestly I was starting to get worried."
"About what?"
"About being able to get Kristen pregnant. I mean she was never telling me she was pregnant so I knew, or thought I knew that she wasn't. Before she went on tour we were having sex at least once a day and..."
"I really don't think I want to be hearing about this," Kristin said interrupting him.
"I think that I've hung around him long enough to where I've gotten used to it," Kevin said.
"Okay are you two going to let me finish or not?"
"Sorry, go ahead AJ," Kristin said.
"Anyways, I thought I was completely incapable of getting her pregnant."
"AJ I swear I don't think you have a brain. If you were incapable of getting her pregnant how would you have gotten her pregnant the first time? Did you think she cheated on you and some other guy got her pregnant or something?" Kevin asked sarcastically.
"No. I just figured that all my good sperm was already used and all I had left was bad sperm," AJ said and Kristin started busting up laughing while Kevin gave him a weird look. "What is so funny? I mean that could happen right?"
"Just keep your stupid comments to yourself next time," Kevin said.
"Well I was also thinking that maybe I had a low sperm count and then I started to freak myself out about that cause that wouldn't be a good thing."
"AJ will you please just think about what you said? You got Kristen pregnant the first time you two ever made love and you were worried about having a low sperm count? But my guess is if you and Kristen are doing it that much it would be best if you did have a low sperm count or else she'll be having a kid every nine months."
"Hey, I don't even know how far along she is. She could be due next month and I wouldn't even know. I better go ask her," AJ said turning to walk away.
"Hold on," Kevin said grabbing his arm and pulling him back towards him and Kristin then smacked him upside the head.
"What was that for?" AJ asked rubbing his head.
"I was trying to see if your head was really hollow. Kristen is wearing a tight dress. Does it look like she's going to be having a baby next month? I mean it's only natural for a female's stomach to grow when she's pregnant and Kristen looks pretty flat."
"When did you become the expert on this? I don't recall you ever having a kid."
"It's called common sense which you obviously lost if you had it at all."
"AJ you still have another seven months before Kristen has the baby," Kristin said.
"And how do you know this and I don't and I'm the father?"
"Because she told me before she told you."
"You knew before me?"
"Yeah, so did Toni, Angela, Jasmine and Mandy. She told us when she found out."
"Well why didn't she tell me?"
"Because she was trying to figure out the perfect time to tell you so I suggested for her to wait and tell you on Christmas."
"Toni knew before me and she never told me?" AJ asked surprised.
"Why would she? She promised she wouldn't."
"Because it's Toni!"
"Stop trying to act like your mad because your not," Kevin said as Kristen came up behind AJ and put her arms around his waist and leaned her head on his back since she was short and couldn't reach his shoulder.
"It's getting late and I have to get up early. Can we get going?" she asked. AJ agreed and they all said there good byes to everyone. The whole way he drove home he just held onto Kristen's hand feeling like he was the happiest man alive. He had no idea that the happiness he felt right then wouldn't last long.
