Chapter 25"Nick, I'm really getting sick of listening to you and I'm no longer in the mood for you," Kristen said aggravated.
"Uh! Why do you have to be so complicated!?!"
"Why do you have to be so annoying?" Kristen asked and Nick just glared at her. "If I tell you that she called yesterday will you shut up and leave me alone?" Kristen asked and Nick nodded his head yes with a smile on his face. "Fine, she called me yesterday."
"You're lying!" Nick yelled at her.
"What the hell? First I tell you she didn't call and you accuse me of lying. Then I tell you she did call and you still accuse me of lying."
"Well you only said she called so you would get me to shut up."
"Nick you're not making any sense! Listen okay? Toni called me yesterday. She is in Clarksville, Tennessee visiting her parents. Any questions?" Kristen asked sarcastically.
"You promise?"
"I promise."
"You swear?"
"Nick lay off of her," AJ said. "You're beginning to get on my nerves as well."
"Quiet AJ," Nick said. "Kristen do you swear?"
"Yes I swear!"
"Oh thank you so much for telling me!" Nick yelled grabbing Kristen and pulling her into a really tight hug causing Kristen to scream. She had gotten the laser surgery done on her stomach the day before and she was pretty sore from it.
"Nick what the hell is wrong with you? Don't be hurting my girl," AJ said pulling Nick away from her.
"Sorry, I forgot. Listen I will see you two later," Nick said grabbing his car keys.
"Oh leaving so soon?" AJ asked sarcastically since Nick hadn't set foot of their house since he came over to see if Toni was there.
"Yes I am. I'll see you two later, I have a plane to catch to Tennessee," Nick said walking out the door.
"Boy don't I wish I could be there to see what is going to happen between them. It should be very interesting," Kristen said sarcastically.
"Yeah well I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. How you feeling?" AJ asked lifting Kristen's shirt up to reveal her stomach.
"I'm in pain AJ. How do you think I feel? And Nick squeezing me didn't exactly make me feel any better. I swear to God AJ if someone ever makes me get laser surgery again I want you to kill me before hand."
"Now why would I want to do that?"
"Because I don't have a very high tolerance for pain. When are you going to get that dragon tattoo on your shoulder blade removed? I do remember you promised me you would if I went through the whole laser surgery deal."
"About that little promise....how about we just forget about it. When your stomach isn't sore anymore I'll take you out to dinner then we'll come back here for a little dessert to make the promise up to you," AJ said with a grin.
"Oh we'll be doing that anyways so your getting the tattoo removed. You've never broken a promise before and I would like it to stay that way," Kristen said with a smile. Nick went to the airport and bought a plane ticket to the first flight leaving to Clarksville. A few hours later he arrived at the airport in Clarksville and went to a pay phone to look through the phone book for Toni's parent's phone number. He found the number and dialed hoping that it wasn't Toni who would be picking up.
"Hello?"
"Mrs. Ortiz?" Nick asked when she picked up the phone.
"Yes?"
"It's Nick, Toni's boyfriend."
"Oh hello Nick. How are you?"
"Honestly, I'm doing pretty bad. I'm guessing you know everything that happened between me and Toni right?" Nick asked.
"No, not really. I know you two fought but I don't know the details about it. I've been trying to get Toni to call you but she keeps lying to me saying she did last night."
"So she doesn't want to talk to me, that's just great," Nick said sarcastically. "Well, I'm at the airport here in Clarksville right now. I sort of need your help with getting Toni to go somewhere with me tonight. I know if I show up at your house to take her out she will just blow me off."
"How about I give you her one of best friend's number and you can call her and have her pick Toni up and take her somewhere. Her name is Chayla and if she leaves as soon as Toni sees you Toni won't have a way back home and will have to talk to you." Nick agreed and then Toni's mom gave him Chayla's phone number. They hung up the phone and Nick rented a car and drove around town for about an hour trying to figure out where to take Toni. He passed by a bed and breakfast place and a smile formed on his face. He pulled over and grabbed his cell phone and dialed Chayla's number.
"Um, hi is Chayla there?" Nick asked when someone picked up the phone.
"This is she. Who's this?"
"It's uh, Nick Carter, I'm your friend Toni's boyfriend."
"You're kidding right?"
"No, I'm actually dead serious."
"I don't believe you. If you are really Nick Carter I want to hear you sing something."
"Fine," Nick said then began singing the chorus part to his solo song "I Need You Tonight". Before Nick could get a second line out Chayla began screaming and Nick had to pull the phone away from his ear so he wouldn't go deaf. "Okay, you need to calm down so I can ask you a huge favor," Nick said putting the phone back to his ear.
"Alright, I'm breathing right now," Chayla said controlling herself. "Nick Carter needs a favor from me so I, Chayla, will be glad to help him."
"Okay here's the deal. Me and Toni got into a huge fight so she flew back here and she won't talk to me. I need you to pick her up at her house tonight and take her somewhere to meet me tonight. Also make sure that she dresses nicely."
"Where do you want me to take her?"
"Do you know where that bed and breakfast place is?"
"Yeah."
"Well I want you to take her there."
"You want me to take her to a bed and breakfast place! She's going to think I turned gay on her or something or she'll know you put me up to this!" Chayla yelled.
"That is why you blind fold her. I will tell you the room we are in and everything and you can bring her into the room. Then leave with her still blind folded and I'll take care of the rest, okay?"
"I'm going to feel like such an idiot taking her to this place but sure I will do it. But only under one condition."
"What's that?"
"I'm not stupid and I know you two will be getting it on so use protection because having a little Toni running around would be a scary ass thing."
"Uh Chayla I think me and Toni know the whole deal."
"Oh my God, you two have had sex before. Damn she always said that you would be her first and you really were," Chayla said and Nick remained quiet not knowing what to say. He was completely shocked about him being Toni's first considering he had always thought that Toni had sex with another guy before him. "Are you still there?" Chayla asked since Nick wasn't saying anything.
"Yeah, sorry. Can you make sure she is there by ten?"
"Sure thing."
"Alright, I'll call you later, bye," Nick said hanging up the phone. He then went to a few department stores and bought himself a pair of black dress pants and a nice shirt and called the bed and breakfast to reserve a room for that night. Chayla called Toni up and told her she wanted to take her out clubbing and to dress in a skirt. At about nine thirty she went and picked Toni up at her house. Toni was wearing a long black skirt with slits up past her knees on both sides and a green short sleeved and low cut shirt with platform heals.
"Hey girl," Toni said giving Chayla a hug when she got there.
"You look nice, let's go so we're not late."
"It's not possible to be late to a club, they are open till early in the morning," Toni said as they walked out to Chayla's car.
"Yeah well I want to get there early so I can find a hot guy and bump and grind with him on the dance floor," Chayla said lying. When they got in the car Chayla took a blind fold and went to put it on Toni when she pulled away from her.
"What the hell are you doing might I ask?" Toni asked with a confused look on her face.
"Well before we go to the club I have a little surprise for you so please just put the blind fold on."
"Uh, fine," Toni said putting it on herself. A little while later Chayla pulled up to the bed and breakfast place. She got out of the car and helped Toni out and they hooked arms as she led her to the room. She opened the door and she saw Nick already there and she had to bite her tongue to keep from screaming. She then hurried up and left closing the door softly behind her. "Chayla this is getting ridiculous. Please just let me take this blind fold off." Nick stood behind Toni and slowly untied the blind fold and let it fall to the floor. "What the hell?" Toni asked as she looked around the room to see it was nicely furnished, had a canopea bed, and the only supply of light at that moment was the fire burning in the fire place. Toni turned around to see Nick standing there. "I can't believe I was tricked to end up being here with you. Now if you'll excuse me I think I'm going to leave now," Toni said going to walk out the door but Nick blocked the door. "Nick get out of my way," Toni said going to push him so she could get through. Nick grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him as he firmly pressed his lips against hers. Toni pulled away from Nick's grip on her after a few seconds. "Nick don't."
"Why not? I'm sorry for what I said, I didn't mean it."
"I don't care. Now just let me leave."
"You don't have a way back home Toni."
"I'll walk then," Toni said with an attitude.
"Fine," Nick said with an attitude right back at her. "But since you aren't going to accept an apology from me then I'll tell you how I really feel about this little fight. According to AJ no matter what the argument is about in a relationship it's always the guy's fault. Well he's wrong. You are as much at fault here as I am and at least I have the decency to apologize to you because I love you and I will accept all responsibility for this fight if it means I can keep you. Now you can't honestly tell me that this stupid fight is going to keep us apart for any longer than these few days already have," Nick lectured and Toni just stared right into his eyes. Nick didn't hesitate for a second before he grabbed Toni and pressed his lips against hers once again. Toni tried to pull away from him but Nick wouldn't let her this time. When Nick could finally feel Toni giving into him he parted her lips with his own allowing his tongue to enter her mouth so he could play with hers. He pulled away when he felt tears fall from her eyes. He looked her in the eyes for a couple of seconds as they both just smiled at each other. "Come here," he said taking her hand and walking over to the fireplace as they laid down on the fuzzy white carpet. Nick grabbed a big fluffy blanket and laid it on top of them as Nick wrapped his arms around Toni holding her close to him underneath the blanket. They just laid there in each others arms watching the fire burn in front of them, neither of them saying a word.
"I'm sorry," Toni said after a few minutes of silence.
"I know, we both are," Nick said kissing her on the forehead. "I didn't like you leaving on me. I was worried to death about you. Promise me that no matter how bad a fight can get between us that if you decide to leave please tell me where you are going."
"I promise," Toni said turning her head and kissing Nick on the lips. They laid in front of the fire until it slowly started to die down. The lack of the burning fire was making it a little chilly in the room. They were holding hands under the blanket and Toni could feel that Nick's hands were starting to get cold. "Are you cold?" Toni asked turning around and facing him.
"Make me warm," he leaned down and whispered in her ear. Toni looked into his eyes and saw the dying fire glowing off his blue eyes making his passion even more intense. She smiled as she ran her fingers through his hair. Nick's tongue ran over her lips wanting in and she welcomed him, this time with no hesitation. Nick leaned onto her, gently laying her down on her back. He pulled back and admired the way the flame danced in her eyes, burning just for him. He took off her shirt. Toni lifting herself to help him but he stopped her. "Let me undress you." She smiled and bit her lip as his fingers began to pull down her skirt. She lifted her hips as he pulled it all the way off. He took off her undergarments in the same way. Nick sat back as his eyes took in the sight of her nude body glowing because of the dim fire. Nick stood up and got undressed. Toni watch him as he did so. His body was sweet and she wanted him right there and then. He came back down to her, kissing her passionately. Toni ran her hands down his back and over his firm ass. Nick moaned into her mouth as she gave him a squeeze. She returned the moan when he caressed her breast. His eyes meeting hers before he brought his lips to her neck. Toni raked her fingers through his hair as he sucked her skin gently at first, but harder as his control weakened. He quickly trailed his lips to the soft swells of her breast as his hand caressed her inner thigh.
"Oh, yeah," she groaned as Nick flicked his tongue over her hot flesh. He pinched her hard nipple with his teeth, making her gasp with pleasure and pain. He stop and guided her back so she was laying over him, her knees on either side of his hips. Toni leaned down and kissed him.
"I need you now," he whispered into her ear as her lips kissed his chin.
"Make love to me, Nick," she returned looking into his burning blue eyes. He rolled them over, Toni's legs wrapped around his waist. They both groaned with satisfaction as Nick entered her. He thrust slowly, wanting to make it last for as long as possible. Toni ran her nails down his back as he kept his steady rhythm.
"Nick......." she whispered with erratic breathing. Nick pumped himself into her wetness faster and harder. He felt her walls tighten around him and that drove him crazy, making him go even faster. Toni groaned as her back arched, her nails digging into his skin as her juices flowed passionately. They kept going until Nick let lose. Nick came out of her and they laid next to each other in each others arms. Nick ran his fingers through her damp hair as she tenderly kissed his neck. They looked into each other eyes, the dying fire reflected in each other's eyes, but not in their hearts.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Nick asked her as he regained control of his breathing.
"Tell you what?"
"That I was the first person you ever made love with."
"I don't know. I guess I figured you would want someone with experience. Are you mad that I didn't tell you?"
"No. I could never be made about something that makes me feel so special."
"I love you, Nick," Toni whispered.
"I love you, too, Toni" he whispered back, kissing her nose. They soon fell asleep in each other's arm, the fire finally going out beside them.
