Chapter 12"I'm sorry if I can't be reasonable about you wanting to go back home and me wanting to spend some time with you. Is that such a crime?" AJ asked with an attitude.
"We can spend some time together after the auditions."
"And what if you make the group? Then you will start touring and I'll be touring and then we will hardly ever be able to spend time with each other."
"Why the hell are you being so selfish!" Kristen yelled at him. "It's just an audition! I probably won't even make it and you are getting all worked up over nothing!" Kristen yelled walking out of the bedroom and slamming the door behind her.
"Shit," AJ said throwing the clothes he had in his arms on the floor and following Kristen out of the bedroom. He walked out and saw Kristen sitting on the couch crying. He sat down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Listen I'm sorry I got upset."
"Why can't you be supportive here? It's only an audition and I probably won't even make it."
"Kristen I've heard you sing and I've seen you dance and I know you are the best and will make it. I'm just worried that I won't be able to spend time with you and make a family."
"I promise you AJ, that no matter what happens I will always have time for a family."
"Then I promise no matter what happens I will always be supportive of you," AJ said kissing her. "Now we better finish packing or we will miss our plane." They got up and finished packing everything up then checked out of the hotel. They got to the airport a little early so after they checked their bags in they went looking around in the shops. They passed by a newsstand and one of the magazines caught Kristen's eye. She picked it up and flipped through it and she immediately became angry. A girl then came running and screaming up to AJ asking for an autograph. AJ gave her an autograph and then she noticed Kristen standing there and glared at her. Kristen saw that she was holding the same magazine she was holding.
"Slut," the girl said then walked off. AJ looked at Kristen confused.
"What was that about?"
"Why don't you buy the damn magazine and find out yourself," Kristen said with an attitude shoving the magazine at AJ then walking away. AJ looked at the cover of the magazine and saw the title 'A Backstreet Boy's Wedding-The Real Deal'. He saw that the cover had two pictures on it. On one side of the cover was a picture of Nick with his arms around Kristen holding her really close and the other was of him and Kristen kissing at the radio station. AJ purchased the magazine and took off after Kristen. He found Kristen sitting down in a chair with her face in her hands. He sat down next to her and lifted her face up so she was looking at him. "I flipped through the magazine and it's bull shit."
"You shouldn't worry about what other people say."
"Yeah well it's kind of hard not to when a whole magazine is published on what a bitch AJ's new wife is."
"Don't say that because you aren't."
"Fine, let's go or we'll miss our plane," Kristen said as they got up and walked to their gate. When they boarded the plane Kristen took the magazine from AJ and began reading it. When she was finished she threw the magazine at AJ with tears in her eyes.
"So what's the story?"
"I dated Nick only for the fact that he was the 'most popular' Backstreet Boy. Then he dumped me because all I wanted out of the relationship was sex and Nick didn't want to get that serious until marriage."
"That's a crock."
"Oh no it gets better," Kristen said sarcastically. "It has practically my whole life story in here since I moved to Florida. So now the whole world knows about the pregnancy, the miscarriage, and the whole story behind me being stabbed. Then everything that happened at the wedding including the lie about you sleeping with Cassie. How the hell could a magazine publisher get all this stuff AJ?" Kristen asked.
"Well, I could give you one guess who might have gone to a magazine publisher and spilled it all for a little cash."
"Who?" Kristen asked confused.
"Your best friend in the whole wide world," AJ said sarcastically.
"That fucking bitch!" Kristen screamed. AJ put his hand up against Kristen's mouth to silence her since the people on the plane were beginning to give Kristen weird looks. "I'm sorry AJ but when we get home that slut ass hoe is going to have some serious hell to pay. I hate Cassie. Just for the record if she ends up dead I'm innocent," Kristen said sarcastically. AJ just shook his head at her. After about a minute of silence AJ looked at Kristen then started busting up laughing. "What exactly is so funny?"
"It was really hot in Hawaii and it'll probably be in the 90's when we get back to Florida and you are wearing a turtleneck shirt," AJ said.
"Well maybe if someone hadn't covered me in hickey's I could wear a cooler shirt. And my back still hurts because of you."
"I'm still sorry for that," AJ said giving her a kiss on the cheek. About an hour later the plane landed at the Orlando airport. There were no fans there like there was when they landed in Hawaii since the fans didn't know that the two of them would be coming back early. They got a cab and they went to Nick's house since Kristen wanted to talk to Toni. They got to Nick's house not too long later and knocked on the door.
"Back so soon are we?" Nick asked opening the door. Kristen burst past Nick and ran into the house and gave Toni a huge hug and they started saying how much they had missed each other. "If you ever take Kristen away from Toni again I will personally have to kick your ass," Nick said to AJ.
"We were only gone a few days."
"Yeah well that is like an eternity for Toni. I think those two would die without each other."
"Come on Toni, I want to talk to you," Kristen said grabbing Toni's arm and pulling her into one of the bedrooms.
"What's going on?" Toni asked cause she knew something was up with Kristen.
"Two things. Cassie went to a publisher and a whole magazine was published about me, Nick, and AJ. Most of it lies but some truth to it."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes I'm serious. Some girl saw me and AJ at the airport in Hawaii and she called me a slut."
"How do you know it was Cassie?' Toni asked.
"Because none of my friends that know this stuff would go to a publisher with it. Cassie is the only one who knows and is willing to tell.
"I'll kick her ass for you."
"I'll be happy to do it myself," Kristen said and Toni started busting up laughing. "And you are laughing because...."
"Because you are a little short shit! You couldn't kick anyone's ass even if you tried!" Toni said laughing even harder. Kristen rolled her eyes and began to walk to the door to walk out of the room when Toni grabbed her arm. "Okay I'm sorry. I have faith in you. I believe you can kick her ass," Toni lied. "Now what is the other thing wrong?" Kristen lowered the neck to her shirt to reveal one of the hickeys that AJ had given her. "Damn girl! That is one hickey!" Toni said laughing.
"It's not funny. I have auditions tomorrow and having a hickey won't exactly help me get in the group."
"So what. It's just one hickey. I'm sure if you use a ton and a half of make-up it will cover it up a little."
"Oh yeah? What about all this?" Kristen asked. She lifted her shirt up and took it off so she was just in her bra and Toni's mouth dropped to the floor.
"Oh my God AJ must have sucked you to death!" Toni said then started laughing so hard her sides began to ache. Nick heard all the laughing going on in the room and told AJ he would be right back so he could go see what Toni's problem was. Nick opened the bedroom door and Kristen had her back to the door and he saw the large bruise on her back going across her shoulder blades. Toni was laughing so hard that Kristen didn't hear Nick come in and shut the door softly behind him. Nick couldn't figure out what Toni found so amusing about it. He went up to Kristen and ran his fingers lightly across the bruise.
"What the hell happened to you?" he asked. Kristen freaked out and grabbed her shirt and covered the front of herself up so Nick couldn't see her body or the hickeys. "Did AJ hurt you?"
"What?" Kristen asked turning around. Toni then saw the bruise on her back and immediately stopped laughing. Nick turned around and locked the bedroom door so that AJ couldn't get in.
"Oh my God," Toni said. "What the hell did he do to you? First he sucks the shit out of you and then bruises you up?" Toni asked worriedly. Kristen stood there half embarrassed since she was covering herself up since she only had her bra on in front of Nick and half shocked of them thinking AJ abused her and she didn't know what to say.
"What do you mean he sucked the shit out of her?" Nick asked Toni confused.
"Kristen show him."
"No! Are you crazy? Nick get out!" Kristen yelled.
"Kristen if he's abusing you then...."
"He's not abusing me!"
"Kristen just show him all the hickeys!" Toni yelled at the same time Kristen said that AJ was not abusing her. "I have more than you have so he isn't going to care to see you. He's seen you in a bikini top it's the same thing."
"Forget it!" Kristen yelled and turned away from Nick and put her shirt back on.
"Did AJ give you the bruise?" Nick asked.
"Oh my God Nick. He's your best friend and you actually think that he..."
"Where did it come from?" Toni asked interrupting her.
"I'm not saying."
"If you don't say anything then I'm assuming AJ hurt you and I will beat his ass," Nick said. Toni and Nick kept pressuring Kristen into telling them how she got the bruise until they were beginning to get on Kristen's nerves.
"Alright! We were having sex in the freaking shower and AJ was holding me up and he slipped falling forwards causing me to hit my back on the shower floor. Are you happy now?" Kristen asked. Toni didn't say anything for a second then she started laughing like she lost her mind as she rolled around on the floor trying to catch her breath.
"Um....wow," Nick said not knowing what to say. "I knew AJ would never hurt you unless it was accidentally by him giving it to you," Nick said then started laughing hysterically. Kristen opened the door and walked out slamming it behind her.
"What's going on? Why do you look pissed and why do I hear them two laughing like hyenas?" AJ asked.
"It doesn't matter. Let's go we are leaving and never coming back," Kristen said grabbing AJ's arm and dragging him out of the house as they could still hear Toni's and Nick's laughing in the background.
