The next day Toni went over to AJ's house around noon to see how Kristen was doing. They hadn't talked while Kristen was in the hospital after she left. "Where you going?" Nick asked coming up to Toni and putting his arms around her as she went to walk out the door.
"Kristen was allowed to go home yesterday. I was going to stop by AJ's and see how she was doing."
"When are you going to back?"
"I don't know. I'll see you later," Toni said giving him a quick kiss before walking out the door. About half an hour later she pulled into AJ's driveway after she stopped by a coffee store and walked up to the door ringing the bell.
"Hey Toni, how you doing?" AJ asked giving her a hug.
"Better than I was," Toni said entering his house. "Where's Kristen? I wanted to talk to her."
"She's still sleeping."
"Are you serious? It's twelve-thirty and she's still in bed?"
"She's worn out. I'll go wake her up."
"You don't need to do that, let her sleep. She's always in a grouchy mood if someone wakes her up."
"Yeah but then she'll be wide awake all night long when I'm trying to get some sleep," AJ said leaving to go into his room. He walked in his room and sat down on the bed next to where Kristen was sleeping and just watched her sleep for about a minute. He then leaned over and kissed her and she slowly opened her eyes. "Good afternoon," AJ said sarcastically. "Some guy called for you about an hour ago from that Mainstream thing and he said if you missed one more class that he was cutting you."
"That's just great," Kristen said still only half awake.
"Don't worry about it though. I explained to him everything that happened and he said that you'll need to get caught up on the music that they have rehearsed for the past two weeks so you'll know it when they start learning dance moves to it."
"I might as well just drop out of it then," Kristen said pulling the blanket over her head.
"Now why would you want to do that? I thought this was something that you wanted?" AJ asked pulling the blanket off of her so he could see her.
"Yeah but getting caught up would involve working on my own and I suck really bad at sight reading music."
"Don't worry about it. I'll help you out. Listen Toni is in the living room, she wants to talk to you."
"Alright let me get dressed," Kristen said getting out of bed. She pulled on a pair of her jeans and stayed in AJ's shirt that she wore to bed then brushed out her hair and went into the living room. "Hey," Kristen said when she saw Toni.
"Hey, mind if we talk?"
"No, we need to," Kristen said going into the dining room and sitting down at the table followed by Toni.
"I went and bought you a cappuccino," Toni said setting down the styrofoam cup down in front of her along with a bag. "Also a bunch of different kind of cappuccino mixes. You haven't had any in a while so I figured you want some."
"Yeah thanks," Kristen said taking a drink.
"That night that everything happened you said you wanted to come over so we could talk. What did you want to talk about?"
"I just wanted to apologize," Kristen said after a couple of seconds. "When I found out that I was going to have a boy I..." Kristen stopped as she held in tears over her losing the baby before she continued. "I realized that I wanted you and AJ there with me. I was acting stupid and selfish about the whole thing. I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it. You're my twin and I love you," Toni said getting up and giving Kristen a hug.
"How the hell do you and AJ put up with me?" Kristen asked jokingly.
"Trust me it's very difficult," Toni said sarcastically.
"I find it pretty easy," AJ said interrupting their conversation as he walked into the kitchen.
"You would," Toni said. "Listen, I was going to go to the mall today. Do you two wanna come?"
"I'll stay, Kristen can go though," AJ said. "You two haven't done anything for a while so I'll stay home. So Kristen go get ready."
"Who the hell made you boss?" Kristen asked.
"Me, now go," AJ said giving Kristen a kiss on the cheek as she left. Kristen got in the shower then went into AJ's room and picked out a pair of black pants that had grayish green stripe down the sides and a grayish green shirt that matched. She was standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom in the pants she picked out and a bra when she went to put her shirt on and she looked at all the scars on her stomach. She just stood there staring at the scars when AJ came into the bathroom. "What's wrong?" he asked as he stood behind her and started massaging her shoulders.
"Look at me," Kristen said still looking at herself in the mirror.
"I am and I'm liking what I'm seeing," AJ said as he started to kiss on her neck.
"I'm being serious AJ," Kristen said turning around to face him.
"What's wrong with the way you look?"
"Look at all these scars. They make me look so ugly."
"No, they don't," AJ said reassuringly. "Sure they may look a little bad now but they will begin to look better. You just won't be able to wear midriff shirts until then if you don't want the scars showing." Kristen didn't say anything to AJ she just put her shirt on then grabbed her make-up bag and began putting her make-up on. "Listen, I'm going to give you my credit card and I want you to go buy a nice outfit, preferably a dress."
"Why?"
"Because I'm taking you out Friday night and I want it to be really special."
"What's going to make it so special?" Kristen asked with a smile.
"I can't tell you that part."
"And why not?"
"Because if I told you now it would ruin the whole thing and it wouldn't be special any more. Hurry up Toni is waiting for you," AJ said leaving. Kristen finished putting her make-up on then brushed out her hair and wore it down letting it go curly. She then grabbed her purse and went out into the living room to leave. "Here," AJ said handing her his credit card. "See you in a few hours."
"Hey, would you mind if I bought me a couple of other outfits?"
"Listen you can go to Suki's and buy the whole store for all I care," AJ said sarcastically.
"Really?"
"No, just get a couple of outfits," AJ said giving her a kiss. "Bye."
"Later," Kristen said walking out the door with Toni and getting in her car. Toni drove to the mall and they hit the food court and grabbed something to eat before they went shopping. When they were done they went walking around the mall and they ran into TJ.
"Kristen where have you been?" TJ asked giving her a hug. "I've been trying to get a hold of you for a couple of weeks. I even called Toni, AJ, and Howie and couldn't get a hold of them either. How you doing Toni?" TJ asked when he took notice of her.
"Pretty good."
"Sorry about that. Just a lot has happened in the past two weeks," Kristen said.
"I'll say," Toni said under her breath.
"Like what? It seemed as if everyone just fell off the face of the earth. I've been worried about you. How's it going between you and AJ?"
"Better than ever. He was really there for me these past two weeks."
"Why? What happened?"
"Okay, you remember that guy you thought was stalking me?" Kristen asked and TJ nodded his head. "Well..." Kristen began then stopped. She couldn't tell him what happened since it was painful to even think about so she just lifted her shirt up so he could see the scars on her stomach.
"Oh my God Kristen. What the hell happened to you?" TJ asked as he lightly ran his fingers across one of the scars.
"Same thing that happened to me only ten times worse," Toni said. TJ looked at Kristen as she put her shirt back down and saw that her eyes were starting to fill with tears but she didn't let them fall. "You want me to explain to him?" Toni asked and Kristen nodded her head. "Okay, well that guy you thought was stalking her was. She was staying at AJ's house again and he came over to the apartment and asked me where she was. I wouldn't tell him and he stabbed me in the stomach," Toni said as she revealed her scar. "Kristen showed up at the wrong time and he tried to kill her. Instead he just killed her baby."
"Kristen, I'm so sorry," TJ said giving her a hug. "Why would someone want to kill you though?"
"When I was going out with Nick I..." Kristen began then TJ cut her off.
"Hold up you went out with Nick?" he asked.
"Yes. When we were going out and he was on tour I was going to go out with this guy from my music class just as friends. He didn't like that fact and he tried to rape me. He went to jail and his brother wasn't exactly too pleased about that so he came after me," Kristen said as the tears fell from her eyes as she retold everything that had happened. TJ wrapped his arms around Kristen and hugged her for about a minute.
"I'm so sorry," he said again.
"Don't be it's not your fault."
"I know but still. Listen I hate to go but I'm sort of in a hurry. Call me this week and we can go out together or something."
"Alright bye," Kristen said as TJ gave her a kiss on the cheek then left. Toni and Kristen went walking around the mall for a couple of hours and Kristen couldn't find anything she liked that was nice and not formal to wear Friday night when her and AJ went out. "You mind if we go to Suki's?" she asked Toni.
"No, I was thinking the same thing. I haven't been there in forever," Toni said as they left the mall. They got to Suki's not to long later. Kristen found a couple of outfits that she liked and decided she would buy but still couldn't find anything to wear for Friday.
"All these outfits show stomach," Kristen complained.
"How about this?" Toni asked holding up an all black outfit.
"It's too much black and it's too plain."
"That is why you pick another color shirt to go with it. And it's nice. Here try it with the blue shirt, it has more color to it," Toni said handing her the skirt and the shirt. Kristen grabbed the outfit and went into the dressing room and tried it on.
"What do you think?" Kristen asked as she turned around to show Toni the whole outfit.
"I like. It doesn't show your stomach either."
"The shirt is tight though."
"So, it's supposed to be like that. Plus AJ likes tight on you."
"How do you know that?" Kristen asked going back into the dressing room to change.
"He told me so. He likes how tight clothes show off your figure or something like that. I don't remember what he told me exactly." Kristen finished getting changed and then brought all the clothes she had to the register to pay for them.
"You wouldn't happen to know what AJ has planned for Friday do you?"
"Nope, he never told me anything." The lady rang up all the clothes and it came to almost two hundred dollars. "You sure AJ isn't going to go ballistic for you spending that much?" Toni asked when they got in her car.
"Hey he said I could get a couple of outfits and I did."
"I have a question for you."
"What's that?"
"Yesterday was your first day back home and you were all alone with AJ since probably when you two broke up. What did you do?" Toni asked with a grin.
"You are really nosy, you know that?"
"I know but I tell you everything. Especially when me and Nick have sex. By the way we got it on two nights ago."
"Thank you Toni for that wonderful information that I did not need to know. But since I know you won't leave me alone until I tell you what we did I'll tell you. We took a hot bubble bath together."
"That's it?" Toni asked giving her a weird look. "No sex between you two in the tub or anything?"
"No Toni there wasn't. Why do you care anyways?"
"Because we are twins and we have to tell each other everything."
"You're on crack you know that?"
"Hey, so are you. We are exactly alike in our personalities and that is why we are twins."
"No, the difference in our personalities is you enjoy telling me when you get it on with Nick and I'm not about to spill it with you," Kristen said as Toni pulled up into AJ's driveway.
"Why not?" Toni asked when Kristen got out of the car.
"Because you want to know so much," Kristen said shutting the door and going into the house. She walked into a dark house except she saw that the TV was on. She turned on the lights and went into the living room and saw AJ asleep in front of the television. She turned off the TV then pulled a blanket over AJ and kissed him goodnight as she turned out the lights and went to bed.
