Chapter 46
The next day Kristen got up after Toni already had left for work and put in the choreographed video tape to practice the dance moves. She had been practicing the dance for about four hours and had it down pretty good so she just kept going over and over it. She had the TV volume up really loud dancing to the music so she didn't hear AJ knocking on the door. He could hear the music so he knew someone was there so he tried opening the door and found it was unlocked. He entered the apartment to see Kristen dancing in the living room in a pair of black tear away pants and a black sports bra. He closed the door quietly and leaned up against it watching Kristen dance with a smile on his face. Kristen turned around and saw AJ there and jumped. "When the hell did you get here?" she asked out of breath.
"A couple of minutes ago. You look good," AJ said as he wrapped his arms around her checking her out. "Your hair looks beautiful and this is very sexy," AJ said as he poked her in the stomach about her belly button ring.
"So you like it?"
"No, I love it," AJ said kissing her. "What's all this dancing for?" he asked as Kristen put on a shirt.
"I'm trying out for a dance audition tomorrow and today is the only day I have to practice."
"I think you'll get it. You looked good," AJ said with a smile.
"That's only because I was wearing pants and a sports bra."
"Hey, that was the best part."
"You would say that," Kristen said going into the kitchen and grabbing a water bottle.
"Hey, I'm only male. Now what would you think if I died my hair again?" AJ asked as he took the water bottle from Kristen and took a drink.
"What color?"
"I don't know, I was thinking yellow."
"I'd say nice knowing you because you would like an idiot," Kristen said with a smile.
"Oh thanks a lot," AJ said sarcastically as he opened the water bottle. Kristen jumped back and screamed as AJ dumped the water on her.
"You ass," Kristen said taking her shirt off and ringing it out in the sink. "You're going to clean the water off the floor."
"I'm an ass now? You know you still love me," AJ said as he poked Kristen in her sides. Kristen took the wet shirt and hit him with it. AJ slipped on the wet floor and grabbed Kristen making them both fall on the ground, AJ underneath of Kristen. Kristen just continued to lay there on top of him. "Since I broke your fall and broke my back can you get off of me now?"
"No," Kristen said as she began kissing him with their arms wrapped around one another.
"Nick cover your eyes! This is nothing that little kids need to see!" Brian said to Nick when he saw what was going on in the kitchen. Kristen and AJ broke apart startled to see Brian and Nick standing there.
"Shut up," Nick said shoving Brian.
"Doesn't anybody know how to knock?" Kristen asked getting up.
"Hey we tried but no one answered. So, we just came in cause we heard someone scream," Nick explained. Kristen grabbed her wet shirt and went into her room to get a dry one on.
"Man, AJ. You sure do cause her to work up a sweat," Brian said laughing.
"It's water. We weren't going anything."
"Well, if that's what you call not doing anything I really don't want to see when you are doing something."
"What are you two doing here anyways?" Kristen asked coming out of her room.
"Well, we went to AJ's he wasn't there so we figured he would be here. And I think we figured right. And it's a good thing we got here when we did if you know what I mean," Brian said with a smile.
"Oh come on Brian. At least nobody else was in the apartment," AJ said.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, when we first met Cassie and Kristen you and Angela went into the kitchen. Next thing we know the food is burned and you two are a mess. Now you can't tell me you weren't doing anything in that kitchen." Brian didn't say anything his face just turned a bright red color. "What did you want with me?"
"We're going to perform at the Video Music Awards for MTV," Nick said.
"Really? That's great. Does Kevin and Howie know?"
"Yeah, Kevin sent us to come get you because he wants to start thinking up of a routine," Brian said.
"Good, take him. I'm not getting anything done with him around," Kristen said smiling at AJ.
"What are you doing?" Nick asked.
"Practicing a dance routine for an audition tomorrow. AJ's distracting me," Kristen said.
"Well, we can see the love in this relationship," Brian said.
"Oh, I still love him I just can't have him around right now."
"Okay, you two leave and I'll meet you outside in a minute," AJ said.
"We get the picture. Come on Nicky boy. This is nothing for you to see," Brian said as he and Nick left the apartment.
"I'll probably see you tomorrow then after your auditions," AJ said to Kristen as he wrapped his arms around her waist. AJ leaned in and kissed Kristen for about a minute before Kristen pulled away.
"You better go or else Brian and Nick will start jumping to a million conclusions," she said.
"Alright, see you later," AJ said as he walked out the door. Kristen went back into the living room and began practicing the dance for a couple more hours when she thought she had it down perfect. She decided to drive over to Angela's to see what she thought of the dance. She knew Cassie wouldn't be there since according to Angela she's never at home, so she grabbed the tape and drove over to Angela's. She got there about ten minutes later and knocked on the door and stood there for about five minutes before the door finally opened. Angela was standing there in a robe and she saw Brian in the background in a pair of boxer shorts and shirt and was putting his pants back on.
"I obviously came at a bad time," Kristen said turning to leave since she knew she interrupted Brian and Angela.
"No, come in, Brian was just leaving," Angela said looking over at Brian who was fully dressed now.
"Yeah, yeah, I get the picture. What's with you girls always wanting your boyfriends out of their apartments?" Brian said walking past Kristen.
"Wasn't Brian supposed to be with the other guys?" Kristen asked walking in.
"Yeah, but that was only for about two hours than Brian came over here and..."
"and nothing. Just stop there please," Kristen said interrupting her. Angela just laughed at her.
"So what makes you stop by here? You haven't been here since....well, in a while," Angela said making sure not to bring up anything in the past.
"I'm auditioning to be a dancer tomorrow morning and I think I have the dance down so I wanted to come here to see what you thought of it."
"Alright, so start dancing." Kristen went and put the tape in and showed Angela the dance only messing up on minor things. "That was good. You should definitely win the audition," Angela said.
"Are you sure? AJ said the same thing but I don't know."
"AJ will say that even if you sucked just to make you feel good so don't listen to him. Never listen to a guy. But I think you will do good and if you don't get it that's their loss not yours."
"Thanks Angie," Kristen said giving her a hug.
"Why don't you stay here for a while? I'll cook some dinner for us or something. It gets lonely here when Brian's not here since Cassie is never here."
"Sure, we haven't just hung out in a while."
Toni got off work and went back home at about eight o'clock. She turned the door knob to see it was already unlocked and she walked into a dark apartment. She closed the door behind her and locked it and heard someone walk up behind her and she could feel their presence. "Boo," someone said softly directly behind her. Toni's heart about jumped up into her throat. She turned around to see a silhouette of someone there but couldn't tell who. Toni automatically assumed it was a burglar and she punched the person knocking them to the floor as they moaned. Toni then jumped on the person and started beating the crap out of them. "Toni! Toni! Stop it's me Nick!" Nick yelled as Toni hit him.
"Nick? What the hell do you think you are doing!" Toni yelled at him as she got up and turned on the light. She saw Nick laying on the floor with a bleeding nose.
"I was trying to surprise you," he said picking a bouquet of flowers off the floor and giving them to her.
"Nick, I'm so sorry," Toni said helping him to his feet. She then went into the kitchen and got him a wet cloth to clean up the blood from his nose. "How did you get in here?"
"The door was unlocked. This is definitely the last time I pay you a surprise visit. Next time I'll call."
"I am so sorry," Toni said apologizing to him.
"It's okay, don't worry about."
"Good. Now never sneak up on me like that!" Toni yelled at him.
"What?" Nick asked surprised as Toni started yelling at him.
"You scared the shit out of me!"
"I don't get you! First you start beating the crap out of me. Then you start apologizing then start yelling at me! You have some mixed emotions girl."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Toni said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and began kissing him.
"Now this is the emotion I like best of all from you," Nick said kissing her again. He then picked her up and started walking down the hall. He opened Kristen's bedroom door and shut it behind him and laid Toni on the bed.
"Nick, we can't do this in here. This is Kristen's room."
"I know but she's got all these blacklites and disco balls and cool stuff in here. Great room to make love in. Wouldn't you think?" Nick asked as he began lighting candles that were on Kristen's dresser.
"I totally agree," Toni said as Nick joined her on the bed and began kissing her.
Kristen left Angela's at about nine and started to drive home. She walked into the apartment and saw Toni's keys on the table so she figured that she went to bed early since it was so quiet. She began walking to her room and saw faint lights coming from underneath the door. Kristen opened the door to see her candles burning then looked at her bed and saw Toni and Nick in it having sex. Kristen's jaw about dropped to the floor. "Oh shit," Nick said as he saw Kristen. Kristen got out of the room and shut the door as quickly as she could and sat down against the wall. "I guess Kristen's room wasn't such a good idea in the first place," Nick said looking at Toni.
"Get dressed and hurry up," Toni said getting out of bed and putting her clothes. About ten minutes later Nick walked out of her room walking right past Kristen and left the apartment. Kristen stood up and went into her room to see Toni blowing out the candles.
"What the fuck were you doing!" Kristen yelled at Toni.
"Oh my God. You don't still like Nick do you? Kristen I am so sorry!"
"No I don't still like Nick! I'm talking about what the hell were you doing fucking him in my bed!"
"Oh, well, um.....Nick thought it would be cool with all the blacklites and candles so we just did it," Toni explained slowly.
"I can't believe you," Kristen said as she began taking all the sheets and blankets off her bed. "I have to be the only one who hasn't had sex tonight."
"What is that supposed to mean and what are you doing?"
"Nevermind! I'm taking everything off this bed because if you actually think I will ever sleep in these sheets again after two of my best friends had sex in them then you are crazy!"
"Come on Kristen, it's not that big of a deal."
"Okay then. I'll call up AJ and we can go have sex in your bed!"
"You shouldn't have walked in on us! Do you know how embarrassing this is for me and Nick!"
"It's my room!" Kristen said throwing the sheets out of her room. "I have a right to walk into my own freaking room! It's not like I thought to myself 'oh I think Toni and Nick are having sex in my bed so I think I'll walk in on them'. I think I have to sit down," Kristen said sitting down on her bed. Then she got up and sat down on the floor. Toni looked at Kristen and started busting up laughing at her. "Fuck you Toni," Kristen said getting up to walk out of the room. "Or rather fuck Nick again. Hey why not tonight in my bed again since I'm sleeping in your room," Kristen said leaving the room with Toni still laughing at her.
