Chapter 4~ Show Time (For Everyone)

Four o'clock finally rolled around. The girls had spent all morning and afternoon working on hair, make-up, well, you name it they worked on it! At 3:15 they were alrady outside the Marx/White Building. The limo pulled up exactly at four, and the girls piled into the white stretch. "Good afternoon, ladies. I am John Klein, and I am your personal driver today and the remainder of the evening. Sit back and enjoy the ride! Help yourselves to the refrigerator, radio, television and telephone," the driver said as the girls got settled. "Thanks!" they replied in unison. Lorie whipped out the Backstreet Boys' newest CD Millennium and popped it into the CD player. The girls listened to their perfect voices all the way to Louisville. ________________________________________________________________________________ "Ohmygosh, Katie, look at this place! It's huge!" Lorie exclaimed as the girls stepped out of the limo. Right away, Michelle noticed all of the "teeny-boppers" staring at the four stunning beauties that stepped out of a white stretch limosuine. She decided to brush it off and directed all of her attention to her three friends and her purse, to keep absolute security over their precious backstage passes and concert tickets. "Well, ladies, would you rather go backstage now or after the concert?" Michelle asked. "NOW!" the rest replied together. The all laughed as Michelle passed out the backstage passes. They walked towards the huge concert arena and found a door that said, "BACKSTAGE. ADMITTED ONLY WITH PASSES." "Well, girls, this is it. Are you ready to meet the five most beautiful guys in the world?" Lorie asked as they stood in front of the door. They smiled at each other and Katie pulled the door open. Three HUGE men were standing on the other side of the threshold. The girls guessed that they were security guards. The men noticed the backstage passes and let the girls pass without saying a word. Michelle could hear sweet music from an acoustic guitar coming from a room a few doors down. She kind of wandered away from the group to see who was making the beautiful music. When she found the room that the noise was coming from she peered inside and her heart skipped a beat. There, sitiing less that ten feet from her, was Brian Littrell. HER Brian Littrell. She must have gasped, because he quickly turned around and saw her smiling face. "Uhh, can I help you?" he asked, standing up. Michelle nearly fainted. He was gorgeous! She loved how his light brown hair curled at his forehead and how his crystal blue eyes seemed to pierce through your soul. "Oh, I'm--I'm sorry for interrupting you. I heard the guitar and I thought it was absolutely beautiful," she gushed out. She realized how dumb she sounded and instantly turned red, looking down at her hands. "It's okay, and thanks. I just wrote that today on the way over here. What's your name?" he asked. "Ohmygosh he wants to know my name! Wait, what is my name? Oh no what's my name? It's Michelle! Snap out of it, girl. He's just a normal guy!" she quickly thought to herself. "I'm Michelle. Michelle Henderson," she said, extending her hand. Brian took it and said, "I'm Brian Littrell. Nice to meet you." He flashed her his million dollar smile and she nearly melted right then and there. There was an akward moment of silence until he spoke up. "So where are you from?" "Oh, I'm from Indinanapolis, Indiana, but I go to school at Notre Dame, and my uncle owns this place," she said, glancing around the room. "You're Rob Henderson's niece? Cool. He's an awesome guy--he's been great to us," Brian said. "Yeah, he is pretty cool," Michelle agreed. __________________________________________________________________________________ "Hey, where did Michelle go?" Katie asked, finally realizing that her friend was missing. "I don't know, but we don't have to find her for an hour or so," Caitlyn answered. The girls had stumbled upon a rather nice dressing room containing, who would have guessed, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and AJ McLean! Lorie made it very clear from the beginning that if she found Nick at all that night she would be doing some major flirting and that nobody better interrupt her, umm, conquest. Caitlyn had very easily been attracted to Kevin, and they were talking to each other on a couch. Lorie and Nick had decided to go for a "walk" but if Lorie had it her way, she and Nick would have been in a lip lock by now. Katie had her heart set on AJ, and it was time she did something about it, so she had casually approached him making sure her black tube top was properly positioned three inched above her belly button and was about two inches away from everything spilling out of the top. Before the girls knew it, it was 7:45 and the guys had to be on stage in fifteen minutes. When their manager, Donna, came in to dismiss the girls, Michelle was still nowhere to be found, and Lorie hadn't returned. The two girls were shooed out of the dressing room, but not without getting a request for their presence after the concert. When they entered the hallway after being shut out of the dressing room, they heard laughter coming from a few rooms down the hall. Caitlyn and Katie exchanged glances and raised eyebrows. They linked arms and made their way towards the noise. The found Brian and Michelle laughing hysterically at nothing in particular. When Michelle saw them standing in the doorway she got up out of her chair and wiped the tears away from her eyes. "Ohmygosh you guys! You missed the best time! Brian--he--." Then she burst out laughing, as did Brian. They were more than likely sharing an "inside" joke. "Umm, Brian, are you aware of the time?" Caitlyn asked looking at her watch. "No--I'm afraid to ask. Am I late?" he asked worridley. "No, but you only have ten minutes until you have to be on stage," Katie told him. "Shit! I gotta go! Michelle, you are coming back here after the concert, right?" He asked. "Sure!" she blurted out, completely extatic. He smiled and walked out of the room waving at her. __________________________________________________________________________________________ "I may run and hide when you're screamin my name alright!" Brian sang as he and the rest of the boys made their grand dancing enterance onto the stage. The whole arena practically shook from the screams and cries of obsessed teeny-boppers, but Caitlyn, Michelle, Katie and Lorie just stood there singing along with the music. The girls were getting so into the concert that Michelle and Lorie didn't realize that the backstage passes that were once hanging around their necks were missing.
