~Kyoudaiai~

Welcome to Kyoudaidai. ^_^ This is the section of my site dedicated to little Takeru. (Well, maybe he's not so little anymore.. ^^;) In-case you don't know, "kyoudaiai" is Japanese for "brotherly love". I love saying that. Kyoudaiai! It'll definitely put a smile on your face. ^^ Anyway, TK's cool n' all, but he's only my 5th or 6th favorite Digidestined. The reason I decided to make this section, is because without TK, Matt would kinda be a boring character. I mean, all those great eps like Playing Games, Trash Day, and The Crest of Friendship wouldn't have happened. =(

So I dedicated this section of my site to Takeru. So we thank you, TK, for being such a great li'l bro, and helping Matt be an interesting Digidestined! (Plus, I now get to show-off all the Matt/TK pics I've found ^^)

Lets start off with the 411 on TK and Matt's relationship. Matt and TK's parents got divorced when Matt was only 6 or so. Their mom decided to raise TK, and their dad took Matt. Matt didn't understand why his family would be breaking up; And one conclusion he came up with was that his family didn't love him anymore.

Matt started spending most of his time alone, thinking that if his parents didn't care about his feelings, than surely no one else would. Being like this caused him to became a strong and lonely kid. Matt seemed to grow-up completely alone, but one person he would openly show his feelings to was TK.

Matt didn't get to see TK as much as he would like to, but Matt still wanted to be a good big brother, and help him in any way possible. Matt needed someone to be there for him, so he did everything for TK, hoping TK would repay his kindness.

As a little kid, TK loved his big bro and thought Matt was the coolest person in the world. TK was the kind of little brother that would brag about his older brother. I can imagine him saying something like, "My big brother's sooo cool. He's great at everything. He's way cooler than your big brother."

When Matt was sucked into the Digiworld, his attitude didn't change much. He was still a rebel who wanted friends deep down. But Matt now had to adapt to danger being everywhere; (That is, more dangers everywhere to protect TK from.)

TK was still a kind-hearted little boy, but he was frightened by the strange Digital World. This made Matt become even more brotherly and protective to TK. He would hang around TK constantly, making sure he was safe, and soothe him to sleep with his harmonica playing.

There were many times Matt ended up risking his life for TK's safety. For example, there was the time Matt swam near the deadly Seadramon, to distract him from TK. Matt was caught by Seadramon, and nearly squeezed to death. (Luckily Gabu digivolved and rescued Matt from Seadramon's grip.)

Also, there was the time Matt and TK got seperated because of Devimon. Matt was so desperate to find TK, that he walked through a cold blizzard to try n' find him. Even though Gabumon wanted him to stop, he wouldn't quit his search for TK. He kept calling for his little brother until he collapsed, freezing and unconcious. But once he was awake again, back into the snow he went, and this time he nearly died trying.

TK later decided that the older kids would have more respect for him if he was braver. So TK tried to be just like their so-called leader (Tai). TK would always talk Tai, and how cool he was around Matt - which of course drove Matt crazy. Right away, Matt took out all his anger and pressures out on Tai. He thought deep-down that Tai was doing this on purpose; And that Tai was trying to take Takeru away from him. If Tai made a decision Matt even slightly disagreed with, he let him know by starting a big agrument about it, (that sometimes ended in a fist-fight). The two Digidestined arguing gets worse an worse as the show goes on. Even though Matt didn't relize it, him fighting with Tai made TK lose respect for his big brother.

Every once and a while, Matt would become so protective of TK, that TK would tell him to just "back-off". (Like in "Playing Games". That part made me so mad at TK! ><) Matt didn't understand why TK would want their bond to break, and that made Matt become horribly confused and depressed. (Examples: Playing Games, Trash Day, and The Crest of Friendship).

With help from his own understanding of TK, (and lots of help from Gabumon), Matt finally was able to relize that TK would always be his little brother, but he needed to be able to grow up on his own. Thanks to Yama's understanding, TK and Matt now get along like they used to. TK still looks up to Matt, and Matt now has more respect for TK and isn't as protective of him. Now I can show-off all the Matt/TK pics I haven't shown you already. ^^;

3 cute season 2 pics ^_^

That's all for this section. Time to go back to da homepage.
