“That’s the key word ‘Gonna Try’. I don’t think I can do it.” Stephanie sighed as she rested her head on the table that was outside on the patio by the pool. “Kevin, what am I suppose to say? I mean it would be ok, if we was married but we ain’t.”
“Just tell them the truth, and then after that just tell them that were engaged…”
“But were not!” Stephanie stated loudly.
“Baby, you’ll never know.” And with that Kevin jumped off the deck and into the pool.
“Hey, what’s that suppose to mean?” Stephanie asked as she stood over the top of the water as Kevin came up.
“Don’t know.” Kevin grinned as ducked under the water again.
“Ergghh!” Stephanie growled as she grabbed the phone and headed back into the house. Making her way into the house she made her way up the stairs and to her room, where she fell onto the bed and dialed the number to her dad’s house.
“Hello.” A male’s voice asked after two rings.
“Hi dad.” Stephanie said shyly not really wanted to say anything.
-At the same time-
Nick and Lisa had stopped out for breakfast at the ‘Crackle Barrel’. As Lisa started on her blueberry pancakes she just stared at Nick.
“What?” Nick blushed as he stared back at Lisa.
“I still can’t believe I gave into you.” Lisa joked as she rubbed her foot up against his leg.
“Hey what’s that suppose to mean?” Nick asked defensively.
“Baby, I’m just joking.” Lisa smiled as she cut off a piece of her pancake. “Want a bite? They taste pretty good.”
“Sure.” Nick replied as he opened his mouth. Lisa gently and passionately placed the piece of pancake into his mouth then kissed him deeply, until they were interrupted by a couple of snickering fans.
“Oh my God! It’s Nick Carter.” One of them yelped as they handed him the piece of paper. “Please sign this.”
“Ok, sure.” Nick agreed as he scribbled his name on the three girl’s sheets of paper. Lisa noticed one of the little girls just glared at her evilly but she just shrugged it off and realized that she was just jealous.
-Meanwhile-
A.J slowly walked up behind Theresa and softly rubbed her soft arm from behind and lightly kissed her neck. As he moved away the hair he noticed the red hickey, but he quickly dismissed the thought that it was Justin cause he was too kissing in the same spot. Running his hands to her sides he started to pull her black tank top over her head until she stopped him.
“A.J we cant…”
“Theresa, just once more before you leave?” A.J whispered into her ear as he kissed it lightly.
“I cant, it’ll just be even harder for me to leave.” Theresa sighed as she walked away from his arms and to her suitcase. Closing it she fastened it and sat it on the floor with the rest. Her now empty white room almost made her go to tears there were so many memories in here and she couldn’t leave.
“Do you want me to go to the airport with you?” A.J asked.
“No that’s ok.” Theresa sighed as she slipped on her tennis shoes and headed downstairs followed by A.J. Reaching the bottom of the stairs Theresa heard Stephanie talking to her dad, and she knew that Stephanie had to tell him so she didn’t bother her. Instead she sat on the couch and joined by A.J, scooting closer to him, right now all she wanted was for him to hold her for now.
-On the phone with Stephanie’s dad-
“How have you and Lisa been?” Stephanie asked as her voice quivered a little.
“Good honey. How about you?” Steve her father replied.
“Good, um…dad I have something important to tell you.” Stephanie stuttered a bit.
“Ok Steph, what is it?”
“Dad promise not to get mad?” Stephanie asked.
“It depends on what. Just tell me.” Steve answered still waiting for her to go on. After a few seconds of silence Stephanie finally went on.
“I’m pregnant.” Stephanie said bluntly. There was another silence.
“What! Are you crazy, whose the father? Are you two at least engaged.” Steve nearly yelled.
“Dad, he’s Kevin remember I was telling you about him. And yes we are engaged and we are very much happy about this baby. Please don’t get mad, I need you.” Stephanie pleaded.
“Steph, your only 20, and what about your show?”
“I already talked to my manager and he said that I can play that I got pregnant and have my baby on the show.” Stephanie explained still a little scared by the way her father is going to respond.
“One I really don’t like the idea of you have a baby, and two your to young. But if I must say this is your baby and its not my choice.” Steve stated. “To tell you the truth, I’m really happy.”
“Really…”
“Yes, congratulations. But I have to go ok.”
“Ok talk to you later Daddy.”
“Ok, love you. Bye.”
“Bye.” Stephanie said as she hung up the phone and drew in a sigh of reflief. Walking into the living room she noticed Theresa and A.J on the couch in each others arms, Nick and Lisa smiling happily, and Kevin in a towel, dripping wet. “Kevin Scott Richardson!” Stephanie yelled.
“What?” Kevin asked in shock.
“Get out of the living room now, go into the kitchen. Don’t ever come into my living room soaking wet again.” Stephanie exclaimed as she pushed him into the kitchen. Stephanie turned back around to see everybody laughing their asses off.
“Stephanie chill, you know water dries.” Theresa joked as she laughed some more.
“Ha, Ha, funny Theresa.” Stephanie said dryly as she fell down on the couch next to A.J.
“So what’s up for today?” Nick asked.
“Well Nick, I’m leaving tonight so I’m kind of booked today.” Theresa sighed as she played with A.J’s rings.
“That’s right. Can’t wait for you to leave, that means…”
“HEY!” Theresa butted in.
“Sis, I’m joking.” Lisa smiled.
“Anyway, how was y’all dinner last night?” A.J wondered resting his chin on top of Theresa’s head.
“Oh it went really well I’d say.” Lisa answered sexually as she winked at Nick.
“Yeah, it was great.” Nick blushed.
“OH MY GOD! You guys had sex!” Theresa screamed as she sat up staring straight at Lisa and Nick. Lisa just grinned and nodded as Theresa got up and gave her a high five.
“Well looks like I wasn’t the only one.” Lisa laughed as she moved Theresa’s hair reviling the red stains on her neck. Theresa gave Lisa a shut-up-now look. Then mouthed ‘I’ll tell you later’.
“Hey guys, how about we all go out somewhere together, including Bri, Howie and their girls.” Kevin suggested as he came back into the living room. “I mean since this is Theresa’s last day here, anyway, what time is your flight?”
“I think the flight leaves at 12:30 AM.” Theresa answered. Everyone agreed with the idea then started getting ready.
-Later that night-
Theresa was sitting in Stephanie’s room helping Lisa with her make-up as Lisa told them about her and Nick’s romantic night last night, and while Stephanie tried to find something to wear.
“Theresa?” Lisa asked as she started to apply some black eye shadow on her eyelids.
“Yeah.”
“You never told me how you got that hickey.” Lisa grinned opening her eyes a bit to see Theresa’s face fall.
“Well…um…see yesterday when me and A.J got in that fight outside, I kind of went over Justin’s…”
“You went over Justin’s house.” Lisa butted in looking at Theresa seriously.
“Yeah and we…”
“They slept together.” Stephanie finished slipping on a tight silver knee length strappy dress.
“Oh my gosh!” Lisa said shocked. Theresa just nodded silently then turned to look at Stephanie who was about to take off the dress she just slipped into.
“Steph, don’t take that off, that looks good on ya.” Theresa assured as she went back to Lisa’s make up.
“Sure.”
“Yes.” Theresa and Lisa chorused as they went on to another topic. After finishing Lisa’s make up Theresa went to her room and slid into dark purple strapless, ankle length dress. Her hair was let down and curled at the ends.
“Theresa!” Lisa screamed running into Theresa’s room holding up two dresses.
“What?” Theresa asked examining herself in the body length mirror making sure the dress looked right.
“Which dress?” Lisa questioned holding up two dresses. One was long and sleeveless. It had small glittery butterflies scattered all over it and was a dark black. The other one was short and sleeveless too, and was only a plain color, which was a light purple.
“Um…Lisa since I did your eyes in black, how about you wear the black dress.” Theresa suggested as she slipped on her purple satin chunky heel shoes.
“Ok, Thanks.” Lisa smiled running back into her room and slipping it on. After all the girls finished getting dressed they all piled in the living room looking each other over making sure there was nothing wrong. Just then the doorbell rang.
DING, DONG
“Coming!” Stephanie screamed running to the door. Opening it she was met by a dozen of pink tipped roses.
“Hey baby.” Kevin said moving the flowers from his face and bent down to kiss her lips lightly. “MMMM…Your lips taste good.”
“I know its strawberry lip gloss, I knew you’d like it.” Stephanie smiled as she took the flowers from Kevin and walked into the kitchen to find vase. After Stephanie left the room Kevin went straight to Theresa while pulling out a ring box.
“Hey Theresa look.” Kevin advised showing Theresa the stunning diamond ring.
“Oh my…”
“Shh.” Kevin hushed.
“Sorry. Are you?” Theresa whispered as she watched Kevin nod his head. Theresa admittedly through her arms around Kevin’s neck and hugged him. “Good luck.”
“Thanks.” Kevin smiled as he hugged Theresa back. Separating from each other they watched Stephanie walk out of the kitchen and walk straight towards Kevin with a smile on her face. As soon as she got to Kevin, she kissed him deeply yet passionately on the lips. “What was that for?”
“What I can’t kiss my boyfriend?” Stephanie said innocently as her and Kevin walked hand and hand to the door.
“Yeah you can.” Kevin grinned as he opened the door for Stephanie and Lisa. “You coming Theresa?”
“No, I’m gonna wait for A.J.” Theresa grinned as she waved bye to her friends and watched them walk out the door.
