“Hey babe.” Stephanie smiled happily as she climbed into his lap without knocking the cereal out of his hands.
“Morning to you too.” Kevin said back as he kissed her lips sweetly. “What happen to you last night?”
“Oh I decided to help Theresa pack then I laid down with her cause she couldn’t stop crying.” Stephanie explained as she took a bite of his Fruity Pebbles.
“Oh yeah speaking of Theresa, A.J called this morning asking for Theresa.” Kevin stated.
“Why didn’t you wake her up?” Stephanie nearly shouted looking down at Kevin.
“I didn’t want to her wake her up so I told him to just come over and try to talk to her.” Kevin added then heard the shower from upstairs come on.
“She’s up.” Stephanie sighed. “Do you think we should tell her?”
“No, just let him surprise her.” Kevin grinned evilly as he placed his bowl on the coffee table and pulled Stephanie closer.
-At Nick’s house-
Nick rolled over and watched Lisa sleep peacefully beside him on her stomach and her hair over her face. Removing her brown locks from in front of her face he gently kissed each closed eyelid and each cheek until her eyes fluttered open.
“Morning baby.” Nick smiled as he stared into her chocolate brown eyes and her long black eyelashes that made them complete.
“Morning.” Lisa yawned as she traced Nick’s nose and lips.
“Do you feel ok?” Nick asked as he scooted closer to her and embraced her in his arms holding her close.
“I’m ok, just a little sore.” Lisa answered as she nuzzled her face into Nick’s bare chest. “Did I do ok?”
“Baby, you were wonderful.” Nick replied looking down and noticed Lisa blushing some. “I love you.”
“I love you more.” Lisa said.
“No, I love you more.”
“That’s totally impossible…” Lisa was silenced by a passionate kiss from Nick as he climbed on top of her.
“Do you think you can go for another round?” Nick asked slyly as he started to make butterfly kisses on her chest.
“Well…I kind of hurt and a little sore…” Lisa teased. “Oh ok, but be gentle.”
“Will do my lady.” Nick said flashing her one of his million dollar smiles.
-At A.J’s house-
A.J was pacing around in his bathroom with a million things running through his mind. Finally stopping in front of the mirror on his wall he stared at his reflection.
“Come on A.J, you love this girl. Don’t let her go without you telling her how you feel. Right now she needs you to be happy for her and nice, not a dick head.” A.J told himself as he fixed his hair and his goatee. After getting ready and fully clothed A.J headed downstairs and to his truck, climbing in he started the engine he pulled out of his driveway and then was on his way to see Theresa. Noticing a flower shop on the corner he thought he’d stop and get a single yellow rose. After buying one of Theresa’s favorite flowers he got back on the road then turned off the road to Theresa’s house. Pulling into the driveway he turned off the engine and sat there for awhile as many thoughts ran through his head.
“Come on J, you can do this.” He told himself as he climbed out of his truck and headed to the door. With the rose in one hand, he knocked on the door with his free hand.
“Hi A.J.” Stephanie greeted as she swung the door open.
“Hey Steph. Where’s Theresa?” A.J asked as he walked in and waved to Kevin who was on the couch.
“Upstairs.” Stephanie frowned remembering the small argument they just had before he came.
“Ok.” A.J said as he headed his way up the stairs and to Theresa’s door.
-In Theresa’s room-
“Let’s see…” Theresa mumbled as she scanned through her well-packed closet. “I’ll take this sweater, and these pants.” She said as she folded up a pair of silver windbreaker pants and a black sweater and placing them inside of one of her suitcases. Walking around her room checking for anything else she would desperately need she spotted a picture of her and A.J sitting on her nightstand. Picking it up, she kissed A.J and placed into the suitcase. Standing in front of her white dresser she heard the door creep open slowly.
“Stephanie, what did I tell you A.J is long…” Theresa trailed off as she turned around and noticed A.J standing there with a single yellow rose in his hands, “gone.”
“Hi Theresa.” A.J smiled walking towards Theresa. “I’m so sorry about what I said yesterday. Baby, I love you and I could never ever in my lifetime let you leave without me saying goodbye.” He said as he handed Theresa the rose and kissed her cheek.
“I love you too.” Theresa whispered as she took the rose and stared down at it. “A.J, this is hard.”
“Why?” A.J asked as he pulled her close to his body.
“A.J I have to leave tonight, I’m moving to LA for the rest of my life. I have to…” Theresa tried to say but then broke down into tears in A.J’s arms.
“Shh, it’s gonna be ok.” A.J supported as he kissed the top of her head and brushed his fingers through it.
“No it’s not going to be ok. You deserve better than me. I lie to you and, and were just not meant to be. I just don’t understand why you keep coming back.” Theresa cried as she broke herself from A.J’s arms and walked out on the balcony.
“Theresa, the only reason I keep coming back is cause I love you, I want you to love me as much as I do. Why can’t you understand that?” A.J stated as he followed her.
“A.J! I do understand that you love me and that you’ll do anything to stay with me, but A.J don’t you get it, yesterday after we fought I went to Justin’s house!” Theresa yelled then noticed the hurt in A.J’s eyes.
“Why?”
“Cause I needed someone to talk to. You wouldn’t answer your phone and me and Stephanie got in a fight and Lisa wasn’t around.” Theresa explained as sat down on the floor of the balcony and tucked her knees under her chin.
“Oh.”
“A.J I don’t want to leave.” Theresa said as she rested her head on her knees and watched A.J sit next to her.
“Then don’t.” A.J said in a funny voice, which made her smile a bit. “Hey, there’s that smile I love.”
“I want you to know that I will always love you.” Theresa smiled as she kissed his nose.
“I will.” A.J chuckled.
“Thank you for the rose.” Theresa grinned, as she smelled it.
“Your welcome.” A.J said as he scooted close to her and draping an arm around her.
“Please promise me that after I leave here, you won’t ever look back…”
“What?!” A.J butted in looking at her.
“Promise me that you’ll never look back when I walk out of my door.” Theresa repeated.
“Why?”
“Cause if you look back it’ll just hurt to much.” Theresa exclaimed as she closed her eyes and remembered all of the fun times that they had together.
“But…”
“Please, at least do it for me.” Theresa begged as she caressed his cheek.
“Theresa I ca…”
“Please.” Theresa pleaded as she kissed his lips one last time before standing up and walking back into her room.
