“I am, anyway, why do we have to run two miles for?” Nick wined finally making it next to Lisa.
“Cause its exercise, you need it so you can keep in shape and to always get you away from those crowds of fans that you always get yourself in.” Lisa laughed.
“Well, I’m very much in shape.” Nick lied.
“Ha, that’s a funny one.” Lisa sighed.
“Hey look there goes A.J.” Nick pointed out, watching his expedition drive past them.
“Was Theresa with him?” Lisa wondered.
“Nope. Maybe he dropped her off at your house.” Nick guessed.
“Hmm, well I’d figure that they’d spend more time together.” Lisa smiled as she stopped to turn around to run back home, then Nick grabbed her arm and turned her back around.
“Maybe, we should leave her alone.” Nick suggested.
“Why?”
“Well, cause maybe they got in a fight or something cause that’s not like A.J to drive by and not say hi.” Nick replied.
“Oh man, if Theresa and A.J got in a fight she’d probably want me there with her.” Lisa thought.
“Baby, come on. Just give her time to think ok. Let’s just run up to that school and play some basketball with them boys.” Nick said pointing to an old high school with a couple of teenage boys outside on the basketball court.
“Ok, fine.” Lisa gave up running towards the school with Nick behind her.
-At the restaurant-
“That was some good breakfast.” Stephanie complimented as she took the last bite of her pancake.
“Yeah. This is the first sit-down breakfast I’ve had in a long time.” Kevin said half-jokingly.
“Well, I guess that’s the prices of being famous.” Jerald laughed as he looked at Madison. “Are you done?” Madison just nodded. “Ok.”
“Here’s your bill.” A tall young man said as he laid the sheet of paper on the table.
“Thanks.” Stephanie grinned at the man that caught her attention. Kevin picked up the paper and was about to pay the bill until Jerald grabbed the paper out of his hands.
“I’ll pay it.” Kevin smiled.
“No that’s ok. I’m treating you and I’ll pay it.” Jerald explained.
“But…”
“Don’t worry about it.” Jerald butted in.
“Kevin, seems to never give up anymore.” Stephanie laughed.
“What?” Kevin sharply turned her head to look at Stephanie.
“Remember when we first met and you spilled that coke all over me.” Stephanie exclaimed.
“No he didn’t.” Jerald joined in.
“Yes, he did. He kept begging me to let him buy me a dress, all night.” Stephanie grinned as she watched Kevin blush.
“Well, I felt bad.” Kevin blushed.
“Brother, please. That’s not how you pick up a lady.” Jerald bragged as he pulled out his wallet and laid a tip on the table as she climbed out of booth with his daughter behind him, then along with Stephanie and Kevin.
“Well I got this one.” Kevin smirked as he wrapped an arm around Stephanie’s waist then kissed her forehead.
“He does have a point.” Stephanie giggled as they headed out the door.
-At A.J’s house-
“Damn it, Theresa answer the phone.” A.J yelled at the phone as he listened to the non-stop rings, then the answering machine came on.
“Sorry, were not home right now, if you want you can leave your name and number and we’ll get back with you whenever.” Lisa's voice said.
“Come on Theresa. Answer the phone baby, please, it’s not true what you heard.” A.J begged then was cut off by Lisa.
“Why are you begging for someone to answer the phone for?” Lisa laughed.
“Where’s Theresa?” A.J asked.
“You tell me, I haven’t seen her, and what’s not true?”
“Something that’s not your business.” A.J smarted off knowing that Lisa was his closest friend of the girls, he could talk to her with anything about his and Theresa’s problems.
“Fine, but if you must know I’ll get it out of Theresa, I mean she is my sister.” Lisa warned placing her hand on her waist.
“Ok. When I took Theresa to the mall, she said that Amanda told her that we was sleeping together.”
“You what!” Lisa screamed. “How could you?”
“I never did, I would never ever do that to Theresa.” A.J exclaimed, then he heard Theresa’s voice in the background.
“Hey Lisa, who’s on the phone?” Theresa yawned as she walked down the stairs and into the living room where she seen Lisa on the phone and Nick on the couch watching TV.
“Um…mom.” Lisa lied knowing that if Theresa knew it was A.J she’d probably blow a top.
“Oh really.” Theresa yelled running towards Lisa and grabbing the phone away from her. “Mom, you won’t believe what A.J did to me, he slept with his ex-girlfriend…”
“Theresa, no I didn’t!” A.J preached.
“A.J is that you?” Theresa asked.
“Yes.”
“Why are you calling me? I told you that I needed a break, now leave me alone!” Theresa cried as she hung up the phone and headed back to her room.
“Theresa! Wait!” Lisa said chasing after her.
“Listen to me Lisa.” Theresa stopped.
“What?”
“I just want to be alone for right now ok….”
“Don’t you want to talk about it?” Lisa asked.
“No!” Theresa yelled as she ran into her room and slammed the door.
“Fine, whatever!” Lisa sighed as she walked back downstairs.
