Having fun.. for once
“Kayla!” No answer. I called out again. “Kayla! Kayla are you even home?” I walked in the kitchen looking for a sign of any sort to see if my cousin was home. Ah ha! There was a note on the counter.
Zoey,
I went to work today. You were in the shower and I had no time to barge in and tell ya. I’ll be home around 7. Go and hang out with people you know. Have some fun girl! We are in the Sunshine State!
Luv ya,
Kay
That’s exactly what I was planning on doing Kayla! It’s so cool to actually have multiple friends again! This sun has done something to me. I am not as quiet and I don’t care all to much of what these people think of me. They can think of what they want. AS LONG AS it stays on good terms. I smiled to myself at that thought. “Precious come here, want to go out?” The dog came running to where I sat. I chained him up on a leash in the backyard.
I walked to the front yard and saw my fella’s talking to so guy in a Porch. As I started walking towards the car I could hear them say by and off the guy went. I wonder who that was… Oh well to late. Nathan, Luke, and a girl named Tara saw me and walked in my direction also. Tara was a 17-year-old girl that lived in the house behind my own.
“So we just going to skate around on our blade or are we going anywhere?” Luke asked. All three were already in blade, I only had my socks on at the moment.
“I could bring out my CD player and we could have a water fight. I don’t really want to go anywhere.” I said thinking of where I put the balloons and other water like weapons. Nathan got an evil look in his eyes.
“I’m up for it in this burning hot sun!” Tara cheered.
“Okay, so we need super soakers, balloons, buckets, one long hoses, bathing suits, a CD player, and Zoey needs to put on blades. Is that all?” Luke listed the items.
“Okay everyone get all you can find and be back here asap! We shall get this water fight underway soon.” Nathan completed. They parted and I ran back into the house. I found two supersoakers of Kayla’s and mine, got balloon from a draw in the bathroom, and brought my CD player outside. I grabbed my rollerblades slipped them on and started filling the water balloons up in the sink. I left the front door open so they’d figure out where I was.
Tara came back first and helped me fill them up. Once all full we joined the other two outside. They were generous enough to fill up the guns by the hose. Luke and I were against Nathan and Tara. No one won of course. We all ended up soaking went and skating to the music. Even after when we laughing like crazy we still got back up and skated in our wet clothes. It was so much fun. I think I’m starting to love Florida.
