Reuniting
Today, yes today, my best friend, the famous Nick Carter, is coming home. I wonder how he’s changed. I know I’ve talked to him on the phone and have seen him in live performances, but that’s different. I wonder if he knows his girlfriend Stacy is cheating on him? I do know he’ll find out sooner or later. And he’ll be so heart broken. Julie thought on her way to the Carter’s house after work. Julie lives next door to the Carter’s in sunny Tampa Bay, Florida. She’s lived there all her life and has been Nick’s best friend ever since the age of 3. She’s 19 just like Nick and they tell each other everything. Well, almost everything. Julie didn’t know how she’d break it to him that his girl friend was a two timer. Julie parked her Forest Green Cougar in the garage and walked over to the Carter’s.
Right before she rang the doorbell, Leslie answered it since she had been walking down the hall at the time. “Hey Les!”
“Julie! Come in! Nick’s in his room.” Julie walked up their stairs and entered Nick’s room with him on the phone. Nick looked up and saw her.
“Look Brad, I have to go.” Nick smiled as he hung up the phone. “So Jul, what’s up?”
“I haven’t seen you in five months and you ask me what’s up? Dude, give me a hug first and then let’s go do something because we have some catching up to do.”
“Where can we go and I won’t be noticed?”
“I’ll race you to that one spot in the forest down the block.”
“You’re on!” They ran out of the house and Julie was surprised at how fast this guy could actually run. He was already about 20 feet ahead of her and she was running a steady 12 miles an hour.
“Hey Nick! You don’t have go that far ahead of me.” He slowed down and looked behind him not knowing he was so far ahead.
“Sorry.” She smiled and went faster. “Hey you tricked me! I’m going to get you!” He caught her in a meadow type area and tackled her. Without them realizing it, for the next two hours they talked, talked and talked just about anything. Still leaving out the martial status of both of them though.
