Chaos
August 1st, 1995
Cassandra jumped as the Walkie-talkie beeped. She picked it up from the position on the nightstand. “Greetings Earthling. Why do you buzz me?” Cassandra said into it.
“Hey Cassie! Just checking up on my favorite girl!”
“I’m your favorite huh? I thought that sophomore named Kelly that you were totally crushing over was your favorite.” Cassandra added slyly.
“She didn’t like freshmen, besides you’re the only girl that’s put up with for more than 10 years.” Even though they’ve always lived next to each other of their 15 years of this lifetime, they became friends in kindergarten. Even when Trevor was 5 he knew how he could help Cassandra live with her ungrateful parents.
“Put up with you? You’re easy. I’m the one that’s got problems here!” The walkie-talkie crackled as she let go of the button.
“Well anyway, do you know if that MCD person ever emailed you? He sounded interesting.”
“I didn’t know you were interested.”
“Yeah well…” Cassandra cut him off before he could make up some lame act.
“Anyway, I haven’t gone on yet to check. Why don’t you just come over and see for yourself cuz I don’t like talking on this thing for too long.”
“Be right there.” Cassandra waited until the other side turned off, then she threw it on her bed. The computer was still loading when she could hear her window being pushed open. Cassandra then connected and opened up her mail.
“Are you gonna get off my bed and see what he wrote or is this just an act that your trying to care?” Cassandra asked in a sweet sarcastic way.
“I’d kindly prefer you read it to me.”
“Figures. Let’s see… He says… he’s just going to call me Spunky and I shall call him Chaos. Real names aren’t important. His characteristics are 1) Male duh, 2)age 15, Birthday 8 days after yours Trevor! 3) Blonde, 4) Blue eyed, 5)and lastly his height is currently about 5’8”. He’s from Florida! I’ve always wanted to go there… 6) He likes Football and his best friend is training him in Basketball, & he likes singing, acting, dancing, and likes all music.”
“Sounds like a very interesting human being. So now you gotta email him back and strike a friendship..” Cassandra laughed at his silly antics.
“Yeah, yeah what could I tell him though? I can’t tell him that my dad is a beater and my mom hates me…”
“Hey you don’t have to get that personal on the first conversation… Just say basically what he said and it’ll all be cool.”
Cassandra looked at her friend strangely. “You’re a very weird guy if you know exactly how to act and say things on the I-net…”
“Hey I’m a natural.” Cassandra threw her pillow at him.
“A natural disaster is more like it.”
