Brianna sighed. An act which she'd done a lot lately. She was bored; life was boring. How could she have gotten so attached to five men who she'd known only four days, but known of for years?

She had become rather attached to AJ and the long conversations they had over the phone, late at night when neither of them could sleep. AJ would complain about the tour, Brianna would moan and groan about Neely. It was all the same, every time. But Brianna never wanted them to end.

The end had come. The phone conversations were gone. The end to her friendship with AJ had probably come to an end, too. The distance between the two made her sigh again.

Crushes were silly. Love was crazy. Life was crazy, so was it love? Brianna didn't love all of the things that happened and were in her life. She shook her head at her conclusions and forever erased them from her mind.

Friendship is a bridge that you must cross to find love, she thought. It worked for her, so she stuck with it.

"I wish one of them would call," she said softly to herself. She closed her eyes and dozed off for a few minutes before the phone rang. She jumped and raced for it. "AJ?" she whispered.

"AJ?" the person on the other end asked in return.

"Oh," Brianna said. "Joe. Hi."

"AJ?" the person repeated. "I go on vacation for a week and you get a boyfriend while I'm not there? Geez, Bree.."

"No. Not a boyfriend. You know....you know, the Backstreet Boys?"

"Yeah....Oh yeah, Breez, you met one of the dudes out of that group and now you have a wild romance with one of them. I'm sure."

"No, I have a crazy friendship with one of them," Brianna corrected.

"Uh, what?"

"Nevermind, I'll explain later...oh geez, what if they're trying to call?"

"Bree," Joe whined.

"Where are you?"

"At home."

"Then...come over. I have to get off the phone. Incase they're calling."

"Okay Brianna. I'll be over in an hour or so."

"Okay. Good bye."

"See ya."

Brianna hung up, put her head in her hands, and rubbed her temples. Why did she have to be so attached to them? It was controlling her; soon it would take over her life.
