Twin Towers Serenity Prayer

"God, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change,..."
(I do not know why Taliban Terrorism exists, or why they chose to attack our people on our home soil, or why over 6000 innocent people had to lose their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 )

"…COURAGE to change the things I can,..."
(though I will never be as courageous as the NY police officers and firefighters or the high jacked airline passengers who willingly gave their lives on that day, I can change my attitudes, thoughts, feelings, and plan of action to prepare myself for the inevitable bloodshed that is yet to come)

"...and the WISDOM to know the difference."
(through talking things over with others, seeking out those who understand international terrorism issues, helping me to get clearer on knowing the difference between religion and terrorism)

I find strength and healing in these thoughts.
