Elsie Robertson was born July 25, 1934 to the late Leonard and Hazel Robertson in New Albany, Indiana. She entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2000 at 2:15 p.m. at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
She united in marriage to Charles Richie in December 18, 1952. 47 years as wife, mother, grandmother she provided the family with a sense of security - always looking out for everyone. She deeply loved and cared for her family that extended to others. Everyone called her mom, not just her children and grandchildren but many others relatives and friends.
She always made sure that things for everyone were ok, even when her own health was failing she expressed concern for others. She was lovingly the "Big Momma" of her Richie Family.
Her family will sadly miss her but her devoted husband Charles Richie Sr. will cherish her memory, Sons, Charles II, Kevin, and Jasper. Daughters; Elsie, Theresa and Joyce. Brothers, Ernest, Marvin and Flint Robertson; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
