He then returns to side A, picks up the lettuce and brings it to side B. Next he returns the rabbit to side A. Gulliver then takes the fox across to side B, reuniting the fox and the lettuce. Finally he returns to side A and picks up the rabbit, which by this time is making its third crossing.
