North Laurel trailed by seven points in the third quarter but rallied for a 51-42 victory over Ashland Blazer. There were seven ties and five lead changes in this game. North Laurel shot 48.6% from the field including one of seven from the three point line. There were eight ties and nine lead changes in the game. Sacred Heart shot 37% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. They connected on 29 of 36 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 George Rogers Clark turnovers. George Rogers Clark shot 40.4% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc. They connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart with 21 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, and four rebounds. Tootie Jordan added 19 points including 11 of 13 free throws, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Morgan Frey recorded six points on six of six free throws, 10 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Brianna Wilkins chipped in with six points and five rebounds.

The Rams connected on 14 of 24 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Brother Rice turnovers. Brother Rice shot 45% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Crusaders connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine DePaul College Prep turnovers.

Makai Kyamme led DePaul College Prep with 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Rashaun Porter added 14 points including four of seven free throws, 11 rebounds, and five steals. Rykan Woo recorded seven points including five of five free throws.

Lauryn Auchmuty led Columbus Grove with 17 points including two three point baskets, nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, six assists, and five steals. The Wildcats connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 15 Fort Loramie turnovers. Fort Loramie shot 40.5% from the field including five of seven from beyond the arc. London Johnson recorded nine points, two rebounds, five assists, five steals, and three blocked shots. Zoe Coleman chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Kali Forston led Cincinnati Princeton with 19 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Mari Gerton added eight points including four of eight free throws, five rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocked shots. Charleston Catholic vs. Wheeling Central Catholic (Class 2A Championship)

Charleston Catholic coach Wes Hevener started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Ilyauna Evans, 5-7 Sr. Aurelia Kirby, 6-0 Jr. Mary Rushworth, 5-6 Fr. Ali Wilcox, and 5-6 Sr. Molly Messer. Wheeling Central Catholic coach Roberta Olejasz countered with 5-7 So. Bella Fitzsimmons, 5-10 Sr. Kaitlyn Blake, 5-11 Jr. Haley Severns, 5-5 Jr. Seneca Heller, and 5-6 Jr. Addie Payton.

Charleston Catholic had lost two previous meetings with Wheeling Central Catholic but parlayed a strong defensive effort with a controlled, slower tempo to earn a 55-41 victory and earn the championship. Charleston Catholic got off to a fast start and led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter. Charleston Catholic shot 40% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Irish connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Wheeling Central Catholic turnovers. Wheeling Central Catholic shot 32% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Maroon Knights connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Charleston Catholic turnovers.

Mary Rushworth led Charleston Catholic with 16 points including three of three free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots. Molly Messer added 15 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Ali Wilcox recorded 11 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, and two rebounds. Aurelia Kirby chipped in with seven points including four of four free throws, five assists, and two steals. 6-0 Fr. Nora Aliff recorded four points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Wayne avenged an early season loss with a 56-39 victory over Nitro. Wayne shot 47.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Pioneers connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Nitro turnovers. Nitro shot 30.4% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Wayne turnovers.

Jayce Sammons led Wayne with 22 points including two three point baskets, 10 of 12 free throws, and five steals. Brooke Adkins added 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and five steals. 5-4 So. Lexi Blankenship recorded eight points and four rebounds. Morgantown shot 23.5% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Mohigans connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Spring Valley turnovers.

Sophi Hutchison led Spring Valley with 24 points including four of six free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Brooklyn Ellis added 13 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Allie Daniels recorded 12 points including four of four free throws, 16 rebounds, and two steals. Dria Parker chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and five rebounds.

Tatum DeVries led Morgantown with 16 points including four three point baskets, four of four free throws, and eight rebounds. Allie Ellyson led Gilmer County with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, six rebounds, nine assistss, and five steals. Lena Frymier added 18 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists. Ava Dobbins recorded a rare triple double with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots. Blair Dobbins chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Greenfield coach Tori Liggett started the following lineup: 5-8 8th Grade Ella Porter, 5-7 Sr. Jayleigh Bowers, 5-10 Sr. AnnaGrace Abernathy, 5-6 Sr. Brenley Little, and 5-6 So. Rayanna Fisher. Greenfield trailed 46-45 with a minute left in the game but Rayanna Fisher scored on a steal and basket and added two free throws down the stretch to give the Yellowjackets a 49-46 victory over Van Buren to finish the season 30-6 and a championship. There were eight ties and eight lead changes in this game. Greenfield shot 39.6% from the field including three of five from the three point line. The Yellowjackets connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Van Buren turnovers. Van Buren shot 43.2% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored five points off six Greenfield turnovers.

The Chargers connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 17 points off nine York Institute turnovers. Maddie Gray led Westview with 18 points including five of seven free throws, three rebounds, and two assists. 5-5 So. Ashlee Brent added six points, five rebounds, and three assists. McCall Sims recorded six points and three rebounds. Lakyn Rogers chipped in with six points and two steals. Halle Trevathan added five points, three rebounds, and two assists. The Mountaineers connected on 22 of 30 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Northview Academy turnovers. Katelyn Graves led Heritage with 17 points including eight of eight free throws and two rebounds. Kenley Coker added 14 points, two rebounds, three assists, and four steals. They connected on 15 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Bartlett turnovers. Bartlett shot 20.6% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Bradley Central turnovers.

Avary Brewer led Bradly Central with 19 points including four three point baskets, three of four free throws, two assists, and two steals. Kimora Fields added 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. TaTianna Stovall recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Harmonie Ware chipped in with 12 points including six of six free throws, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

North Bullitt coach Chris Downey countered with 5-6 8th Grade Jayden Bauer, 5-7 Jr. Kylie Downey, 5-10 Sr. Madelyn Curtsinger, 5-3 8th Grade Nikkiah Campbell, and 5-5 Fr. Molly Johnson.

Mercy Academy raced out to a 26-15 first quarter lead on their way to a 72-51 victory over North Bullitt. Mercy Academy shot 49% from the field including nine of 22 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 17 North Bullitt turnovers. North Bullitt shot 45% from the field including 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Mercy Academy turnovers.

5-8 Jr. Maggie Young led Mercy Academy with 22 points including four three point baskets, six of six free throws, five rebounds, and three assists. 5-8 Jr. Laney O’Connell added 11 points and seven rebounds. Abby Reitzel recorded eight points including four of four free throws, two rebounds, and three assists. Caitlin McCauley chipped in with seven points. Sacred Heart led 43-35 in the final quarter but Assumption finished the game on a 9-2 run. Sacred Heart shot 31% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Assumption turnovers. Assumption shot 37.8% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Rockets connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Sacred Heart turnovers.

“Tootie” Jordan led Sacred Heart with 14 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, two assists, and two steals. Za’Kiyah Johnson added 10 points including four of seven free throws, and three rebounds. Danville Christian Academy defeated Lyon County by the score of 56-53 to earn the championship. There were two lead changes and three ties in the game. They connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Danville Christian Academy.


Grace Mbugua led Danville Christian with 20 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and eight blocked shots. Amauri Blackford added 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Alaya Quisenberry recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Paisley Metz chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Chicago (St. Ignatius College Prep coach Cara Doyle countered with 5-9 Jr. Isabella Keberlein, 5-10 Sr. Maggie Helms, 6-1 Sr. Reganne Reardon, 5-3 Sr. Sally Kennedy, and 5-7 Sr. Maliyah Miller.

Montini defeated St. Ignatius by the score of 50-44. There were two ties and two lead changes in this game. Montini shot 42.9% from the field including two of seven from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on 18 of 21 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 St. Ignatius turnovers. St. Ignatius shot 39.5% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc. The Wolfpack connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Montini turnovers.

Nikki Kerstein led Montini with 21 points including 12 of 13 free throws, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and five steals. Peyton Farrell added 12 points including four of five free throws, and four rebounds. Natalie Gartlan recorded seven points.

Reganne Reardon led St. Ignatius with 20 points and nine rebounds. Isabella Keberlein added eight points and four rebounds. 5-9 Jr. Gabby Hinton recorded seven points, two assists, and two steals.

Kenwood defeated Fremd by the score of 65-44. Kenwood shot 34.9% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Broncos connected on 19 of 31 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 22 Fremd turnovers. Fremd shot 29.4% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Vikings connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored three points off eight Kenwood turnovers.

Danielle Brooks led Kenwood with 24 points including nine of 12 free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and three steals. London Walker-George added 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and five steals. Ariella Henigan recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Na Tallia Urlacher led Fremd with 16 points including two three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and three steals. Ella Todd added 11 points including three of four free throws, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Isabella Del Mar recorded seven points including five of eight free throws, and eight rebounds.
