Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-8 So. Addison Combs, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-6 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Abbey Popham.

Lafayette trailed 26-22 at halftime but they outscored West Jessamine 13-5 in the third quarter on their way to a 52-44 victory. Lafayette shot 40.8% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 30.8% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colts connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off six Lafayette turnovers.

Tess Nelsin led a balanced Lafayette scoring attack with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Belle Combs added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Lexington Catholic pulled away in the final quarter to defeat a cold shooting (28.3%) Madison Central team by the score of 53-41. The score was tied six times and there were seven lead changes in this game. Lexington Catholic shot 44.4% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line. The Knights connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 28.3% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jacob Holland led Lexington Catholic with 16 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Max Meagher added nine points and five rebounds. Sacred Heart Academy defeated Highlands by the score of 74-63. Sacred Heart shot 50.9% from the field including nine of 17 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Highlands turnovers. Highlands shot 44.2% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc. The Bluebirds connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 27 points including four three point baskets, and seven rebounds. Morgan Frey added 14 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals. Amirah Jordan recorded 14 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Brianna Williams chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, six assists, and five steals.

Maren Orme led Highlands with 22 points including eight of nine free throws, and three steals. Marissa Green added 19 points including five of seven free throws, 13 rebounds, and two assists. Kaylee Mills recorded eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.

Newport coach Rod Snapp started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. James Turner, 6-4 Sr. DaShawn Anderson, 6-8 So. Griffin Starks, 5-11 Sr. Yamil Rondon, and 6-1 Sr. Amontae Lowe. Covington Catholic coach Jake Thelen countered with 6-1 Sr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-0 So. Teegan Stava, 6-7 Jr. Donovan Bradshaw, 5-11 Jr. Cash Harney, and 6-0 Jr. Athens McGillis.

Covington Catholic defeated Newport by the score of 47-43. The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game. Covington Catholic shot 42.1% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 11 of 17 from the free throw line, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Newport turnovers. Newport shot 30% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc. The Wildcats connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Athens McGillis led Covington Catholic with 15 points including three three point baskets, four of six free throws, two rebounds, and two assists. Cash Harney added 12 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Donovan Bradshaw recorded six points and eight rebounds. Nolan Ruthsatz chipped in with five points and three rebounds.

Yamil Rondon led Newport with 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. DaShawn Anderson added 12 points including four of five free throws and seven rebounds. Amontae Lowe recorded six points. James Turner chipped in with five points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Madison Central coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-5 Jr. Jordynn Miles. 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader. Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 5-8 8^th Grade Emerson Dowell, 5-9 Jr. Ava Warner, 6-5 8^th Grade Jayden McClain, 5-6 8^th Grade Laynee Hampton, and 5-7 Jr. Piper Aschermann. (5-10 Jr. Jaelyn Jones out today with an injury).

Madison Central raced out to a 29-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 78-48 victory over Ryle. Madison Central shot 53.8% from the field including 11 of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 18 Ryle turnovers. Ryle shot 51.4% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Raiders connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Madison Central turnovers.

Cameryn Ridderikhoff led Madison Central with 25 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five steals. Nataya Strader added 24 points including five three point baskets, five of six free throws, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Brittany Campbell recorded 17 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Brooke Campbell chipped in with six points, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

Laynee Hampton led Ryle with 13 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Ava Warner added 10 points and four rebounds. Jayden McClain recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots. Emerson Dowell chipped in with eight points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
