Villa Madonna coach Katie Kortekamp started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Catherine Gifford, 5-7 So. Anna Kolar, 5-8 Jr. Annie Chadwick, 5-4 Jr. Madeline Mitchell, and 5-6 Jr. Megan Mahaney. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 So. Jenny Bertram, 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-8 8th Grade Koko Castle, 5-6 Jr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts.
Lexington Christian Academy’s defense recorded 28 turnovers, which they converted to 30 points in a 59-30 victory over Villa Madonna. LCA shot 38.1% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on four of 10 free throws and pulled down 36 rebounds. Villa Madonna shot 28.2% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Vikings connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored four points off nine LCA turnovers.
Chapel Brown led LCA with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Claire Roberts added eight points, four assists, and six steals. Ella Gabbert recorded eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two steals. Jenny Bertram chipped in with six points, five rebounds, and two steals. 5-9 Jr. Sophia Pridemore added five points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Koko Castle added five points and three rebounds.
Annie Chadwick led Villa Madonna with six points, four rebounds, and two assists. 5-5 So. Dahila Gorman added six points and two rebounds. Catherine Gifford recorded four points and nine rebounds. 5-5 8th Grade Mary Chadwick chipped in with four points and four rebounds.
