Madison Central coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Eden Carter, 5-7 So. Brooke Campbell, 5-10 Jr. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 So. Nataya Strader. Corbin coach Isaac Wilson countered with 5-8 Jr. Darcie Anderson, 5-8 So. Kylie Clem, 5-8 So. Raegan Walker, 5-5 Jr. Mahayla Jordan, and 5-7 Jr. Kallie Housley. (Corban was without the services of Bailey (Noodles) Stewart tonight due to an injury and Darcie Anderson went out in the third quarter with a knee injury).
Madison Central led by nine in the first quarter and the score was tied 32-32 at halftime but Corbin pulled away late for a 72-63 victory. The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game. Corbin shot 42.9% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Redhounds connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 40.7% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Corbin turnovers.
Kylie Clem led Corbin with 23 points including two three point baskets, five of five free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Kallie Housley added 17 points including eight of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and six assists. Raegan Walker recorded nine points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Mahayla Jordan chipped in with seven points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Darcie Anderson recorded six points, three rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Nataya Strader added 20 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Brooke Campbell came up big tonight with 14 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five assists. 5-7 Jr. Olivia Metcalfe chipped in with six points on two three point baskets and three rebounds. Brittany Campbell recorded five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
