George Rogers Clark coach Josh Cook countered with 6-4 Sr. Jerone Morton, 6-3 Sr. Tyleik Maxwell, 6-8 Sr. Trent Edwards, 5-11 Jr. Reshaun Hampton, and 5-11 Sr. Sam Parrish.

George Rogers Clark defeated Bryan Station by the score of 75-46. GRC shot 47.5% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 28 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 32.1% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on three of 13 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 GRC turnovers.

Sam Parrish led GRC with 26 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Jerone Morton added 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Reshaun Hampton recorded nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Trent Edwards added eight points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals.

Rasaad Faulkner led Bryan Station with nine points, four rebounds, and three assists. Jaden Biggers added eght points, five rebounds, and three steals. 6-3 Jr. Daeveon Adams chipped in with seven points and 6-6 So. Felix de Los Santos recorded six points, six rebounds, and two steals.

West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-4 Sr. Drew Marshall, 6-3 Sr. Daniel Waters, 6-5 r. Gavin Salva, 6-2 Sr. Jacob Jones, and 6-2 Sr. Brett Bush.

Great Crossing led 33-31 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 65-53 victory over West Jessamine. There were 10 lead changes and five ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 40.3% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 23 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 38.6% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Great Crossing turnovers.

Vince Dawson III led Great Crossing with 18 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Jeremah Godfrey added 12 points and five rebounds. Malachi Moreno recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots. DeJohn Blunt chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Gage Richardson added eight points and four rebounds.

Daniel Waters led West Jessamine with 21 points including two three points and seven of 10 free throws and seven rebounds. Drew Marshall added eight points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Jacob Jones rescorded eight points and four rebounds.

Cal defeated Henry Clay by the score of 99-56. CAL shot 58.1% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Centurions connected on 21 of 33 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 44 points off 25 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 32.3% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 CAL turnovers.

Brianna Wilkins led CAL with 30 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Mariah Knight added 23 point, six rebounds, and five blocked shots. 5-8 So. Bailee Duck recorded 15 points and Savannag Gardner chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Sacred Heart raced out to a 28-9 first quarter lead on their way to a 74-33 victory over Southwestern. Sacred Heart shot 52,7% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Southwestern turnovers. Southwestern shot 29.3% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warriors connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart with 27 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and six assists. Reagan Bender added 17 points, four assists, and four steals. Triniti Ralston recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Angelina Pelayo added nine points and seven rebounds.

Kinsley Molden led Southwestern with 19 points including three three point baskets. Jessalyn Flynn added six poins on two three point baskets.

North Laurel coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-4 Sr. Ryan Davidson, 6-2 So. Colton Rawlings, 6-4 Jr. Gavin Chadwell, 6-1 Jr. Brody Brock, and 6-3 Sr. Reed Sheppard.

North Laurel never trailed and defeated Lexington Catholic 77-65 in a big early season match-up between two of the top teams in th state. North Laurel shot 52.2% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line. He Jaguars connected on 23 of 33 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholc shot 41%% from the field including 10 of 31 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on five of seven free throws, puled down 29 rebonds, and scored nine points off 12 North Laurel turnovers.

Reed Sheppard led North Laurel with 23 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Brody Brock added 18 points including four three point baskets. Gavin Chadwell who transferred from Knox Central recorded 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Yan Davidson chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds.

John Reinhart led Lexington Catholic with 20 points including six three point baskets. Reece Potter added 12 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Tyler Doyle recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.

Gavin Copenhaver led Christian Academy of Louisville’s ground game with 158 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Cole Hodge carried the ball five times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen McRoberts recorded 30 yards on five carries. Cole Hodge completed 13 of 16 passes for 147 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Colin Daniels completed three of three passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. Justin Ruffin caught four passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Connor Hodge added two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Wilson recorded three receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Copenhaver added a 16 yard touchdown reception. Beechwood returns to the Class 2A Championship game with a 48-0 shutout of Lloyd Memorial. Beechwood suffered a setback in October as all-everything athlete Mitchell Berger went out with a season ending injury but the Tigers re-grouped and are back in the title hunt. This game was over early as Beechwood took an early 7-0 lead but Loyd Memorial responded as Isaiah Sebastian returned the ensuing kickoff for an apparent touchdown but the big play was wiped out by a penalty. Lloyd Memorial turned the ball over in their first two possessions and Beechwood capitalized to take a 20-0 lead after the first quarter. Beechwood held a 403-121 advantage in total offense.

Zander Riegler led Beechwood’s ground game with 79 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Cash Harney added 54 yards on four carries. Chase Fleherty carried the ball 16 times for 47 yards and three touchdowns. Clay Hayden completed 12 of 17 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns. Talon Linder caught two passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Liam McCormack added three receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. James Cusik recorded two catches for 29 yards and Antonio Robinson caught three passes for 28 yards. Landon Aylor recovered a fumble. Nicholas Alexander intercepted a pass he returned 30 yards. Landon Johnson intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards.

Kaiden Zulager led Lloyd Memorial’s ground game with 45 yards on 16 carries. Isaiah Sebastian carried the ball five times for 20 yards. Isaiah Sebastian completed four of 12 passes for 54 yards with two interceptions. Tyler Copeland caught three passes for 28 yards. Kaiden Zulager and Elijah Collins each caught one pass for 26 and 9 yards respectively. Elijah Westwood led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles. Yurli Comer Collins added three solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Amari Riley recorded four solo tackles.

Newport Central Catholic did not have an answer for Pikeville’s big strong linemen on either side of the ball as the Panthers rolled to a 50-14 victory. Pikeville recorded 23 first downs and 399 yards of total offense. The Panthers were penalized six times for 60 yards. Newport Central Catholic recorded 12 first downs and 210 yards of total offense. The Thoroughbreds were penalized four times for 20 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 168 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Blake Caudill carried the ball three times for 44 yards and a touchdown. Isaac Duty completed eight of 15 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Brenden Anthony caught one pass for 53 yards. Blake Birchfield added two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Wade Hensley caught a 12 yard touchdown reception. Westin Blevins returned one kickoff for 30 yards. Logan Reed intercepted two passes.

Luke Runton led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 84 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Kaleb Cole carried the ball twice for 26 yards. Demetrick Welch Jr. added 22 yards on three carries. Kolton Smith chipped in with five yards and a touchdown o five carries. Kolton Smith completed 12 of 22 passes for 73 yards with one interception. Luke Runyon caught five passes for 22 yards. Nick Rouse added two receptions for 20 yards. Kaleb Cole recorded 19 yards on three receptions. Luke Runyon returned three kickoffs for 43 yards. Raceland dominated play tonight in a 49-6 victory over Louisville Holy Cross. Raceland recorded 19 first downs and 525 yards of total offense. The Rams were penalized four times for 40 yards. Louisville Holy Cross recorded eight first downs and 140 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized four times for 45 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Noah Wallace led Raceland’s ground game with 145 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Isaac Browning carried the ball 10 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. Lamar Lundy recorded 64 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Logan Lundy completed six of nine passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Lykins completed one of two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. Parker Fannin caught two passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Jules Farrow caught a 50 yard touchdown pass and Brayden Welch added a 10 yard touchdown reception. Jules Farrow returned one punt for 13 yards. Isaac Browning returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Mason Lykins intercepted a pass he returned 26 yards.

Tyler Ballard led Holy Cross’ ground game with 15 yards on nine carries. Jamari Pennebaker carried the ball two times for 11 yards. Chris Perry completed 12 of 25 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Logan McClellan caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Joey Foushee addd four receptions for 26 yards. Jayse Hardesty returned five kickoffs for 122 yards. Tyler Ballard led the defense with 10 solo tackles. Mixhael Wotham added eight solo tackles. Camden Henderson-Reed recorded five solo tackles.

Bowling Green defeated Southwestern by the score of 47-20. Bowling Green recorded 16 first downs and 401 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized seven times for 70 yards. Southwestern recorded 21 first downs and 314 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized eight times for 60 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Javen Huddleston led Bowling Green’s ground game with 142 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Deuce Bailey carried the ball twice for 44 yards. LaDanian Woods added 30 yards on four carries. Deuce Bailey completed 11 of 16 passes for 159 yards and four touchdowns. Trevy Barber caught two passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Easton Barlow added two receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Warder recorded four receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Christopher Sweeney caught a 13 yard touchdown pass. Grayson Newman led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles. Bert Kibawa added six solo and two assisted tackles. Davis Fant and Jake Napier each recorded five solo and five assisted tackles with Napier scoring on a 40 yard fumble recovery return. Augustin Nyembo intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards.

Tanner Wright led Southwestern’s ground game with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Mason Hibbard carried the ball four times for 30 yards and a touchdown. Christian Walden recorded 29 yards on seven carries. Mason Hibbard completed eight of 11 passes for 66 yards with one interception. Roger Oliver completed six of 10 passes for 51 yards. Kaden Hewitt caught three passes for 31 yards. Brody Perkins added three receptions for 26 yards. Christian Walden recorded three receptions for 22 yards. Christian Walden returned one punt for 16 yards. JJ Hutchinson returned one kickoff for 49 yards. Mason Hibbard returned one kickoff for 23 yards.
