Covington Catholic defeated Boone County by the score of 43-0. Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 444 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for nine yards. Boone County recorded eight first downs and 218 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized six times for 61 yards and lost two fumbles.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 221 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Andrew Bessler carried the ball once for 69 yards. Evan Pitzer recorded 36 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Zacc. Roberts added 26 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Evan Pitzer completed four of nine passes for 50 yards. Braylon Miller caught two passes for 30 yards. Ben McEvoy added two receptions for 20 yards. Braylon Miller returned two punts for 48 yards with a long return of 45 yards and returned one kickoffs for 16 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards. Aiden Jones added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 18 yard loss. Louie Hodge recorded four solo tackles.

Jamarion Hocker led Boone County’s ground game with 32 yards on 16 carries. Jamarion Hocker completed 13 of 24 passes for 184 yards. Tyler Whipple caught five passes for 91 yards. Justin Padilla added three receptions for 33 yards. Mason Hessling recorded two receptions for 53 yards. Justin Padilla and Late Lawson each returned a kickoff for 17 yards. Noah Haynes led the defense with three solo tackles. Justin Padilla, Seth Moran, Manuel Acosta, and Cole Hardy each recorded two solo tackles.

Frederick Douglass continues to dominate competition with a 57-0 shut out victory over Grant County. Frederick Douglass recorded 10 first downs and 327 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized three times for 25 yards. Grant County recorded five first downs and 105 yards of total offense. The Braves were not penalized. lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Pharo Watts led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 40 yards and two touchdowns on two carries. Cole Carpenter completed six of 10 passes for 184 yards and four touchdowns. Donalod Walker completed five of six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Dunn caught two passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Tate Johnson added two receptions for 58 yards and one touchdown. Cooper Ranvier and DeVaun Hart caught touchdown passes of 34 and seven yards respectively. Cooper Ranvier connected on seven of seven extra point attempts and kicked off nine times with seven touch backs. Darion Neal led the defense with one solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. M. Jenkins added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and recovered a fumble he returned 14 yards. Landon Menifee intercepted a pass and J. Harkless scored on a 10 yard fumble recovery return.

Cameron Duncan led Grant County’s ground game with 64 yards on 11 carries. Cameron Duncan was zero for four with one interception. Kaleb Dionne returned two kickoffs for 35 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Cameron Duncan, Aiden Ross, and Kaleb Dionne each recorded two solo tackles for Grant County.

Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Tates Creek by the score of 14-11. Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 314 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 61 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 282 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized seven times for 67 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Cole Colony led Dunbar’s ground game with 129 yards on 18 carries. Noah Chapman carried the ball 16 times for 120 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Teall completed two of seven passes for 12 yards with one interception. Cole Colony completed four of seven passes for 51 yards and one touchdown. J. Commodore caught a 38 yard touchdown pass. J. Commodore returned one punt for 16 yards and one kickoff for 15 yards. E. Illunga led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Kyan Miller added five solo and four assisted tackles. Jose Kazadi II recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Desmond Duncan intercepted two passes with 39 yards of return yardage.

Theo Jones led Tates Creek’s ground game with 100 yards on 20 carries. Andrew Witherington carried the ball eight times for 56 yards. LaQuan Newby added 31 yards on nine carries. Andrew Withington completed 12 of 21 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Ke’shon Douthitt caught six passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Mason Jackson caught two passes for 24 yards. Ke’shon Douthitt returned two punts for 25 yards with a long return of 18 yards and returned one kickoff for 28 yards. Kobe Middleton returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Logan Julian led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards and intercepted a pass he returned nine yards. Thomas Seigler added five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Kobe Middleton recorded two solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Henry Clay recorded 16 first downs and 286 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized 11 times for 73 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Dahvon Frazier led Bryan Station’s ground game with 138 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd added 64 yards on 11 carries. Bayubahe Benit recorded 41 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Trenton Cutwright completed nine of 15 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown. Damin Green caught five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. JT Haskins Jr. added five receptions for 55 yards. Damin Green returned one kickoff for 39 yards. JT Haskins returned one kickoff for 71 yards and a touchdown. Nikalos Dixon led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. JT Haskins Jr. added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Jahvon Frazier recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. The 5-0 Warhawks had this date marked on their calendar as they thought this was the year to end Scott County’s five game winning streak but it was not to be. Scott County dominated tonight running their “Winged-T” offense and getting some big plays through the air and an excellent defensive effort shut out Great Crossing by the score of 43-0. Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 425 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 120 yards and lost a fumble. Great Crossing recorded eight first downs and 121 yards of total offense. The Warhawks were penalized four times for 30 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jacob Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 84 yards on 16 carries. Ellis Huguely carried the ball seven times for 77 yards. Kayne Garrett recorded 38 yards on five carries. Andrew Hickey completed nine of 13 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns. DaQuis Brown caught four passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Ellis Huguely added two receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. Logan Jones returned one punt for 17 yards and DaQuis Brown returned a kickoff for 21 yards. JaSante Harmon led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Cam Keller added three solo and five assisted tackles. Paul Garner and Buddy Collins each intercepted a pass.

JK Patterson led Great Crossing’s ground game with 80 yards on 17 carries. Caden Bays completed one of eight passes for eigt yards with two interceptions. Bryce Harmon caught one pass for eight yards. Oryend Fisher led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Tyris Cobbins added five solo and one assisted tackles. Drake Byrd, Clayton Shaddix, and Pilot Lukacsko each recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of Shaddix’s tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Lexington Catholic utilized their air attack and a ball hawking defense (5 interceptions) to defeat Tates Creek by the score of 41-0. Lexington Catholic recorded 11 first downs and 268 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized four times for 30 yards. Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 128 yards of total offense. The Commodores were not penalized but had five passes intercepted.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 65 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Jackson Wasik completed 10 of 16 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Max DeGraff completed two of three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Max DeGraff caught five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Tanner Pedroche added three receptions for 32 yards. Hunter Foster caught two passes for 43 yards. B. Williams was credited with 0 receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown because LexCath completed a pass and the receiver advanced the ball but fumbled and B. Williams went 25 yards for the scoop-and-score touchdown. Max Mooring returned one kickoff for 82 yards, Max DeGraff punted once for 41 yards, converted on four extra points, kicked field goals of 32 and 25 yards and kicked off eight times with four touchbacks. Max Kern added three solo and three assisted tackles. B. Williams recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Max Bertrand also intercepted a pass.

LaQwuan Newby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 18 yards on eight carries. Andrew Witherington completed 12 of 23 passes for 105 yards with five interceptions. Marquevion Smith caught six passes for 44 yards. Thomas Seigler and Jason Bell each caught two passes for 28 and 22 yards respectively. Paul Laurence Dunbar scored on an 85 yard pass from Cole Colony to Trae Berry with 7:30 left in the game to earn a 21-14 victory over Russell. The Red Devils had a late chance but deep in Dunbar’s territory with less than two minutes on the clock they faced a fourth and six from the Dunbar 10. Carson Patrick caught a short pass from Ethan Pack but was stopped less than a yard short by a tackles by Grant Angel. Dunbar had a goal line stand earlier that ended at their two yard line. It was a courageous effort by the injury-riddled Russell squad who was missing ive of their top six running backs. Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 369 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 47 yards. Russell recorded 20 first downs and 384 yards of total offense. The Red Devils were penalized five times for 29 yards.

Noah Chapman led Dunbar’s ground game with 69 yards on 11 carries. Cole Colony carried the ball 10 times for 45 yards. Cole Colony completed 15 of 24 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns. Trae Berry caught four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Jakobe Biggerstaff added four receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Commodore recorded three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown. Mason Hayslett led the defense with eight solo and six assisted tackles. Jose Kazadi added four solo and eight assisted tackles. Emmanuel Illunga recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.

Colby Rock led Russell’s ground game with 259 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries. Ethan Pack completed 10 of 16 passes for 112 yards. Carson Patrick caught six passes for 79 yards. Dmarques Kershner added three receptions for 31 yards.

The Thoroughbreds were penalized five times for 45 yards. Newport recorded 21 first downs and 364 yards of total offense. The Wildcats were penalized 12 times for 80 yards.

Demetrick Welch Jr. led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 209 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries. Luke Runyon carried the ball 11 times for 49 yards and a touchdown. Kolton Smith added 41 yards on six carries. Kolton Smith completed four of seven passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Landrum caught two passes for 65 yards. Luke Runyon added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Chad Atkins returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Luke Runyon led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles. Kaleb Cole added five solo and five assisted tackle. Evan Turpin recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Nic Shafer added eight assisted tackles.

Kyle Lee led Newport’s ground game with 20 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Kyle Lee completed 29 of 47 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Mykell Martin caught nine passes for 144 yards. Quincy Barber added eight receptions for 81 yards and three touchdowns. Keegan Farrell recorded five receptions for 45 yards. Quincy Barber returned two kickoffs for 20 yards. Kendall Buck-Barber, Khail Buck-Barber, and Mykell Martin each returned one kickoff for 15, 12, and 10 yards respectively.

Bullitt East defeated Meade County by the score of 42-28. Bullitt East recorded 26 first downs and 481 yards of total offense. The Chargers were penalized 13 times for 110 yards. Meade County recorded 21 first downs and 421 yards of total offense. They were penalized seven times for 55 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Mason Gauthier led Bullitt East’s ground game with 68 yards on 14 carries. Travis Egan carried the ball five times for 10 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Egan completed 29 of 39 passes for 400 yards and four touchdowns. Camron Brogan caught nine passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Nolan Davenport added nine receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. Mason Gauthier recorded six receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Camron Brogan returned two kickoffs for 26 yards. Nolan Davenport returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Gabe Henderson led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles. Ryan Still added five solo and four assisted tackles. Ryan Rayhill recorded six solo and two assisted tackles. Ryan Still, Travis Egan, and Camron Brogan each intercepted a pass.

Lexington Christian Academy did noy have an answer for the dynamic Pikeville running game as the Panthers defeated LCA by the score of 60-21. Pikeville recorded 17 first downs and 461 yards of total offense. The Panthers were penalized three times for 30 yards. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 26 first downs and 440 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 35 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 350 yards and six touchdowns on 21 carries. Isaac Duty carried the ball twice for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Will Rowe completed his only pass for 13 yards. Westin Blevins caught one pass for 13 yards. Sam Wright returned one punt for 14 yards. Blake Birchfield returned two kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Deonte Stevens led the defense with eight solo tackles. Carson Wright added seven solo and one assisted tackles. Wade Hensley recorded seven solo tackles. Peyton Sayers, Blake Birchfield, and Isaac Coleman each intercepted a pass. Blake Caudill scored after a blocked punt on a scoop-and-score.

BJ Evans led the LCA ground game with 22 yards on eight carries. Mac Darland carried the ball five times for 22 yards.
