Lexington Catholic utilized their air attack and a ball hawking defense (5 interceptions) to defeat Tates Creek by the score of 41-0. Lexington Catholic recorded 11 first downs and 268 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized four times for 30 yards. Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 128 yards of total offense. The Commodores were not penalized but had five passes intercepted.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 65 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Jackson Wasik completed 10 of 16 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Max DeGraff completed two of three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Max DeGraff caught five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Tanner Pedroche added three receptions for 32 yards. Hunter Foster caught two passes for 43 yards. B. Williams was credited with 0 receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown because LexCath completed a pass and the receiver advanced the ball but fumbled and B. Williams went 25 yards for the scoop-and-score touchdown. Max Mooring returned one kickoff for 82 yards, Max DeGraff punted once for 41 yards, converted on four extra points, kicked field goals of 32 and 25 yards and kicked off eight times with four touchbacks. Hayden Dawahare led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting I losses totaling 18 yards and intercepted a pass. Sam Clements recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss and intercepted three passes with return yardage of 35 yards. Max Kern added three solo and three assisted tackles. B. Williams recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Max Bertrand also intercepted a pass.

LaQwuan Newby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 18 yards on eight carries. Andrew Witherington completed 12 of 23 passes for 105 yards with five interceptions. Marquevion Smith caught six passes for 44 yards. Thomas Seigler and Jason Bell each caught two passes for 28 and 22 yards respectively. Cooper Jackson returned two kickoffs for 46 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Marquevion Smith returned two kickoffs for 44 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Kobe Middleton led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Cooper Jackson added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.

Paul Laurence Dunbar scored on an 85 yard pass from Cole Colony to Trae Berry with 7:30 left in the game to earn a 21-14 victory over Russell. The Red Devils had a late chance but deep in Dunbar’s territory with less than two minutes on the clock they faced a fourth and six from the Dunbar 10. Carson Patrick caught a short pass from Ethan Pack but was stopped less than a yard short by a tackles by Grant Angel. Dunbar had a goal line stand earlier that ended at their two yard line. It was a courageous effort by the injury-riddled Russell squad who was missing ive of their top six running backs. Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 369 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 47 yards. Russell recorded 20 first downs and 384 yards of total offense. The Red Devils were penalized five times for 29 yards.

Noah Chapman led Dunbar’s ground game with 69 yards on 11 carries. Cole Colony carried the ball 10 times for 45 yards. Cole Colony completed 15 of 24 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns. Trae Berry caught four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Jakobe Biggerstaff added four receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Commodore recorded three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown. Mason Hayslett led the defense with eight solo and six assisted tackles. Jose Kazadi added four solo and eight assisted tackles. Emmanuel Illunga recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.

Colby Rock led Russell’s ground game with 259 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries. Ethan Pack completed 10 of 16 passes for 112 yards. Carson Patrick caught six passes for 79 yards. Dmarques Kershner added three receptions for 31 yards.

Newport Central Catholic defeated Newport by the score of 42-26. Newport Central Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 417 yards of total offense. The Thoroughbreds were penalized five times for 45 yards. Newport recorded 21 first downs and 364 yards of total offense. The Wildcats were penalized 12 times for 80 yards.

Demetrick Welch Jr. led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 209 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries. Luke Runyon carried the ball 11 times for 49 yards and a touchdown. Kolton Smith added 41 yards on six carries. Kolton Smith completed four of seven passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Landrum caught two passes for 65 yards. Luke Runyon added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Chad Atkins returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Luke Runyon led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles. Kaleb Cole added five solo and five assisted tackle. Evan Turpin recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Nic Shafer added eight assisted tackles.

Kyle Lee led Newport’s ground game with 20 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Kyle Lee completed 29 of 47 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Mykell Martin caught nine passes for 144 yards. Quincy Barber added eight receptions for 81 yards and three touchdowns. Keegan Farrell recorded five receptions for 45 yards. Quincy Barber returned two kickoffs for 20 yards. Kendall Buck-Barber, Khail Buck-Barber, and Mykell Martin each returned one kickoff for 15, 12, and 10 yards respectively.

Bullitt East defeated Meade County by the score of 42-28. Bullitt East recorded 26 first downs and 481 yards of total offense. The Chargers were penalized 13 times for 110 yards. Meade County recorded 21 first downs and 421 yards of total offense. They were penalized seven times for 55 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Mason Gauthier led Bullitt East’s ground game with 68 yards on 14 carries. Travis Egan carried the ball five times for 10 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Egan completed 29 of 39 passes for 400 yards and four touchdowns. Camron Brogan caught nine passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Nolan Davenport added nine receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. Mason Gauthier recorded six receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Camron Brogan returned two kickoffs for 26 yards. Nolan Davenport returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Gabe Henderson led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles. Ryan Still added five solo and four assisted tackles. Lexington Christian Academy did noy have an answer for the dynamic Pikeville running game as the Panthers defeated LCA by the score of 60-21. Pikeville recorded 17 first downs and 461 yards of total offense. The Panthers were penalized three times for 30 yards. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 26 first downs and 440 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 35 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 350 yards and six touchdowns on 21 carries. Isaac Duty carried the ball twice for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Will Rowe completed his only pass for 13 yards. Westin Blevins caught one pass for 13 yards. Sam Wright returned one punt for 14 yards. Blake Birchfield returned two kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Deonte Stevens led the defense with eight solo tackles. Carson Wright added seven solo and one assisted tackles. Wade Hensley recorded seven solo tackles. Peyton Sayers, Blake Birchfield, and Isaac Coleman each intercepted a pass. Blake Caudill scored after a blocked punt on a scoop-and-score.

BJ Evans led the LCA ground game with 22 yards on eight carries. Mac Darland carried the ball five times for 22 yards. Cutter Boley completed 33 of 55 passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions. Parker Chaney caught 18 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. Will Nichols added six passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. Evan Brown added five receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. Nate Barnhardt caught three passes for 46 yards. Evan Brown returned five kickoffs for 89 yards. #9 returned four kickoffs for 73 yards. Nate Barnhardt led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Logan County defeated Hopkinsville by the score of 49-28. Logan County recorded 24 first downs and 509 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized four times for 35 yards. Hopkinsville recorded 16 first downs and 373 yards of total offense. The Tigers were penalized 10 times for 100 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Zane Batten caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Junvontre Dillard added three receptions for 38 yards. Harper Butler caught a 30 yard touchdown pass. Junvontre Dillard returned two kickoffs for 19 yards. Eli Hawkins led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles. Hunter Holloway recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. A strong defensive effort and an 89 yard touchdown pass from Evan Pitzer to Owen Leen gave Covington Catholic a 14-7 victory over Cooper tonight. Covington Catholic recorded 13 first downs and 301 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized five times for 60 yards and had a pass intercepted. Cooper recorded 10 first downs and 148 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized once for 23 yards.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 69 yards on 21 carries. Evan Pitzer carried the ball 14 times for 24 yards. Evan Pitzer completed seven of 14 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Owen Leen caught two passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Braylon Miller added two receptions for 43 yards. Noah Johnson caught a 23 yard touchdown pass. Braylon Miller returned three punts for 30 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Ben McEvoy returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles. Aiden Jones added seven solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Tyler Steffen recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.

Eli White led Cooper’s ground game with 34 yards on 12 carries. Cam O’Hara completed 12 of 20 passes for 120 yards and one touchdown. Austin Alexander caught six passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Elite White caught two passes for 18 yards. Jayce Hotchkiss returned two punts for 15 yards with a long return of 13 yards. Elijah Harrison returned a kickoff for 16 yards. Jack Lonaker led the defense with 11 solo tackles. Lucas Hughes, Austin Alexander, and Jake Harmeyer each recorded four solo tackles. Mason Baesel recorded two solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards. Eli White intercepted a pass.

Frederick Douglass dominated tonight on both sides of the ball in a 41-0 win over Scott County. Frederick Douglass recorded 20 first downs and 445yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized eight times for 98 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Scott County recorded six first downs and 96 yards of total offense. The cardinals were penalized nine times for 68 yards and had a pass intercepted.

TJ Horton led Douglass’ ground game with 65 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. DeVaun Hart added 55 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Pharo Watts carried the ball five times for 41 yards. Ty Bryant recorded 28 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Cole Carpener completed 14 of 21 passes for 224 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Donalod Walker completed two of three passes for 21 yards. Cameron Dunn caught five passes for 66 yards. Tate Johnson added three receptions for 38 yards. Tylon Dunn recorded 87 yards and a touchdown on two receptions. Cameron Dunn returned two punts for 55 yards including a 53 yard return for a touchdown. Ty Bryant returned two punts for 19 yards including a long return of 19 yards. Latonio Laveall led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles. Logan Busson added three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Isaiah Kenney also recorded three solo and three assisted tackles and JD Dixon intercepted a pass.

Thomas Feickert led Scott County’s ground game with 41 yards on seven carries. Ellis Huguely added 29 yards on nine carries. Andrew Hickey was zero of nine passing with one interception. DaQuis Brown returned two kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Logan Jones and Buddy Collins each returned one kickoff for 19 and 15 yards respectively. Paul Garner led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Elijah Adams added four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 14 yards. JaSante Harmon recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 16 yard loss. Buddy Collins also recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

B. Benit led Bryan Station’s ground game with 57 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd added 35 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Trenton Cutwright completed nine of 10 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Jaxson Branham completed two of three passes for 31 yards and a touchdown. Damin Green caught two passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Javari Burnett and Larry Wilkerson added touchdown receptions of 22 and nine yards respectively. Madison Southern recorded seven first downs and 157 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 14 times for 90 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Ethan Idlewine led Pulaski County’s ground game with 91 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Trey Hornsby carried the ball nine times for 45 yards. Brysen Dugger recorded 14 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Brysen Dugger completed 23 of 32 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Chandler Godby caught 12 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Harris Denmyer added three receptions for 70 yards. Zak Anderson caught four passes for 29 yards. Chandler Godby returned one kickoff for 14 yards. James New led the defense with nine solo tackles. Layton Abbott added six solo and seven assisted tackles. Brayden Ping and Jericho Dixon each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and Dixon scored on a 20 yard interception return. Zander Simpson also intercepted a pass.
