Logan County defeated Franklin-Simpson by the score of 41-31. Logan County recorded 21 first downs and 400 yards of total offense. They were penalized 11 times for 110 yards. Franklin-Simpson recorded 20 first downs and 305 yards of total offense. They were penalized eight times for 75 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Ryan Rayno led Logan County’s ground game with 141 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Junvontre Dillard carried the ball three times for 34 yards. Davin Yates completed 16 of 20 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns. Harper Butler caught three passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Zane Batten added five receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Jack Delaney recorded two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown. Dayton Blackford also caught two passes for 24 yards. Junvontre Dillard returned one kickoff for 34 yards. Hunter Holloway led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Isaac Poe added seven solo and one assisted tackles. Peyton Taylor recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Elijah Hawkins added three solo and four assisted tackles. Zane Batten intercepted a pass.

Blake McPherson led Franklin-Simpson’s ground game with 58 yard and a touchdown on nine carries. Collin Anderson carried the ball eight times for 39 yards. Hayden Satterly recorded 32 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Brady Delk completed nine of 14 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Jalen Briscoe caught five passes for 96 yards and one touchdown. Daniel Klingman added two receptions for 62 yards. Isaac Callis returned three kickoffs for 69 yards. Collin Anderson returned four kickoffs for 64 yards. Atakis Allen led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles. Hayden Satterly added six solo and three assisted tackles. Daniel Klingman recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Spencer County utilized their “Winged-T” offense to defeat Collins by the score of 43-37. Spencer County recorded 15 first downs and 395 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 50 yards and lost a fumble. Collins recorded 20 first downs and 428 yards of total offense. They were penalized four times for 35 yards.

Camden Cardwell led Spencer County’s ground game with 180 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Kellen Marksbury carried the ball seven times for 94 yards. Gabe Bowling recorded 49 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Gabe Bowling completed one of four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Brice Roark caught a 47 yard touchdown pass. Camden Cardwell returned two kickoffs for 48 yards.

Kenyon Goodin led Collins ground game with 198 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries. Kenyon Goodin completed 11 of 21 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Darius Evans caught five passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Quinten Wooten added three receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Bailey returned two kickoffs for 42 yards. Darius Evans returned one kickoff for 26 yards. Joshua Lainhart led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and Kenyon Goodin added four solo and one assisted tackles. Antwon Delaney recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Caleb Bailey and Hunter Klusch each chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles each.

A combination of a strong CAL performance, five LCA turnovers, and the departure of LCA star QB Cutter Boley in the third quarter due to an ankle injury allowed CAL to earn a 49-14 victory. CAL led 21-14 at halftime but when Boley went down with an injury and their backup QB and star WR/RB Nieves out with an injury LCA was severely hampered. CAL recorded 18 first downs and 409 yards of total offense. The Centurions were penalized four times for 30 yards and had two passes intercepted. LCA recorded 16 first downs and 295 yards of total offense. He Eagles were penalized three times for 25 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Gavin Copenhaver led CAL’s ground game with 89 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Cole Hodge added 59 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Cole Hodge complated eight of 17 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Gavin Copenhaver caught three passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Darwin Cotton added two receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. Isaac Patrick returned one punt for 12 yards. Justin Ruffin returned two kickoffs for 63 yards. Gavin Copenhaver led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses. Isaac Patrick added three solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Darwin Cotton recorded two solo and five assisted tackles. McKade Battcher also intercepted a pass. Nathaniel Heidenrich, Nathan Ehrenborg, and Gunnar McKinley each recovered a fumble,

Jveontae Emerson led LCA’s ground game with 44 yards on 10 carries. Cutter Boley completed 16 of 23 passes for 201 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Parker Chaney caught eight passes for 103 yards. Evan Brown caught six passes for 61 yards. Will Bivens caught a 28 yard touchdown pass. Evan Brown returned three kickoffs for 20 yards. Major Brown led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles. Johnny Bruce Drake added two solo and four assisted tackles. Will Nichols and Evan Brown each intercepted a pass.

Jacob Childress led Henry Clay’s ground game with 71 yards on 15 carries. Malcolm Paul carried the ball 12 times for 61 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Bailey recorded 20 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Malcolm Paul completed five of 13 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. J. Kreutzer caught three passes for 65 yards. L. Barrentine caught one pass for 39 yards and a touchdown. J.Kreutzer returned two punts for 14 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Scott County rallied from a 20-0 deficit at halftime to earn a 21-20 victory over Bryan Station. Ellis Huguely scored on a one yard run and added a 2-point conversion pass from Andrew Hickey to pull Scott County to within six; 20-14 with 8:00 left in the game. Paul Garner intercepted a pass and returned it 18 yards to the Bryan Station to put Scott County back in business at the Bryan Station 16. Ali Hamdiyah followed up with a three yard TD run and Ian Stanley added the conversion kick to give Scott County a 21-20 lead with 5;54 left on the clock. Luke Valencia ensured the victory with a late interception. Scott County recorded 13 first down and 269 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 13 times for 70 yards and had a pass intercepted. Bryan Station recorded nine first downs and 225 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized five times for 37 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jacob Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 104 yards on 17 carries. Ali Hamdiyah carried the ball eight times for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Feickert recorded 45 yards on 10 carries. Andrew Hickey completed four of eight passes for 41 yards with one interception. Ellis Huguely caught two passes for 15 yards. Thomas Feickert caught one pass for 18 yards. Madison Southern captured their first victory of the season with a 37-6 victory over Lafayette. Madison Southern recorded 11 first downs and 437 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 48 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded six first downs and 114 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized six times for 48 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Juan Rodriguez led Madison Southern with 164 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Cade Sullivan added 102 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Ethan Woods completed seven of 17 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Ethan Moore caught two passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. J. Woodford County dominated tonight holding Tates Creek to a negative three yards of total offense. Woodford County recorded 17 first downs and 396 yards of total offense. The Yellowjackets were penalized seven times for 92 yards. Tates Creek recorded two first downs and -3 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized five times for 32 yards.

K. Maxberry led Woodford County’s ground game with 49 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Braxton Glanzer carried the ball three times for 41 yards. Leland Taylor recorded 40 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Andrew Nason carried the ball eight times for 33 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Nason completed five of nine passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Sawyer Ford completed two of three passes for 78 yards and one touchdown. Aden Nelson completed his only pass for 41 yards and a touchdown. Aden Nelson caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. Makhi Smith added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Crowe caught one pass for 60 yards. Graham Hodge and Caleb Brown added touchdown receptions of 18 and 15 yards respectively. Smith caught two passes for three yards. M. Smith returned three kickoffs for 58 yards with a long return of 23 yards, Logan Julian led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. Thomas Seigler added three solo and two assisted tackles. M. Smith recorded three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.

Frederick Douglass continues to dominate early in the season with a 54-7 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar. Frederick Douglass recorded 17 first downs and 341 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized 17 times for 208 yards and lost a fumble. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 10 firs downs and 3 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized nine times for 60 yards and had a pass intercepted.

TJ Horton led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 40 yards and three touchdowns on six carries. Pharo Watts carried the ball six times for 29 yards. DeVaun Hart added 27 yards on six carries. Josiah Lemond carried the ball four times for 25 yards and a touchdown. Ty Bryant and Cameron Dunn also ran for touchdowns. Cole Carpenter completed 12 of 20 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown. Tylon Dunn caught seven passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Ty Bryant returned one punt for 40 yards. TJ Horton returned one kickoff for 42 yards. Cooper Ranvier kicked off eight times with seven touchbacks, Latonio Laveall led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Terrion Hicks added four solo tackles. Ty Bryant recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards. Tresean Benford interecepted a pass he returned 69 yards for a touchdown.

Cole Colony led Paul Laurence Dunbar’s ground game with 13 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Ethan Teall completed seven of 13 passes for 22 yards with one interception. Cole Colony completed four of 10 passes for eight yards. Noah Chapman caught four passes for 15 yards. Trae Berry added four receptions for five yards. Mason Hayslett led the defense with seven solo tackles. Jose Kazadi II added five solo tackles. Ryan Browning recovered a fumble.

Lexington Catholic rolled up 485 yards of total offense in a 42-19 victory over Pleasure Ridge Park. Lexington Catholic recorded 21 first downs and 485 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized once for five yards and had two passes intercepted. Pleasure Ridge Park recorded 11 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. They were penalized five times for 54 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 132 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Blake Foster carried the ball twice for 52 yards. Jackson Wasik completed 19 of 27 passes for 312 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions. Max DeGraff caught five passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Hunter Foster added five receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. Sam Clements recorded two receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Max Mooring returned four kickoffs for 118 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Max DeGraff punted once for 36 yards, kicked off seven times with six touchbacks and was six of six in extra points. S. Bennington led the defense with four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss. Chris Kern added three solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards. B. Williams recorded threee solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards. Max Bertrand intercepted a pass.

Adam Taylor led PRP’s ground game with 17 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Kayden Anderson completed 15 of 24 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Jakob Dixon caught eight passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Santana Crayton added four receptions for 50 yards. Santana Crayton returned one kickoff for 41 yards. Malakii Blackburn led the defense with nine solo tackles and intercepted one pass he returned 20 yards. Anthony Woods added seven solo and three assisted tackles. Santana Crayton recorded five solo and two assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Colton Carey added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss. Jerry King intercepted a pass he returned nine yards.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Belfry by the score of 36-7. LCA recorded 20 first downs and 419 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized three times for 30 yards. Belfry recorded 10 first downs and 219 yards of total offense. The Pirates were penalized once for five yards and lost two fumbles.

Jveontae Emmerson led LCA’s ground game with 85 yards on 11 carries. BJ Evans carried the ball twice for 39 yards. Cutter Boley recorded 19 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Cutter Boley completed 15 of 20 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns. Will Nichols caught three passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Chaney added four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Major Brown caught an 11 yard touchdown pass. Major Brown led the defense with two solo and five assisted tackles. Will Bivens recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Hunter Adams recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Evan Brown also recovered a fumble.

Dre Young led Belfry’s ground game with 144 yards on 17 carries. Caden Woolum carried the ball four times for 32 yards and a touchdown. Chase Varney was zero of three in the passing department.
