Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 Jr. Chloe Freeman, 5-9 Sr. Kessaney Melton, 5-6 Fr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Fr. Nataya Strader.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 6-0 Jr. Jazmin Chambers, 5-10 Sr. Patience Laster, 6-4 Jr. Jhaven Meade, 5-3 Fr. Leia Hogan, and 5-5 Sr. Nevaeh Carter.

 

Franklin County utilized their size advantage to defeat Madison Central by the score of 68-49.  Franklin County shot 37.5% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 31.1% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Patience Laster led Franklin County with 13 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  5-4 Sr. Lauren Meadows added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Jazmin Chambers recorded 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Nevaeh Carter chipped in with 10 points including six of eight free throws, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.  Jhaven Meade added eight points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and five blocked shots.

 

Nataya Strader led Madison central with 11 points, two rebounds, and three steals.  Bailey Hensley added 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Brittany Campbell recorded 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  5-6 Fr. Brooke Campbell added six points and Kessaney Melton pulled down seven rebounds.

Mercy Academy outscored Butler 11-2 in the final quarter to earn a 55-46 victory.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Mercy Academy shot 31.1% from the field including eight of 31 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on nine od 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 42.9% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on one of four free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Leah Macy led Mercy Academy with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Alyssa Murphy added nine points including five of six free throws, seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  Mary Smith recorded nine points on three three point baskets, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Emma Barnett chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds.  Gracie Helm added eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.

 

Ramiya White led Butler with 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Anieja Russell added 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Tamesha Dozier recorded six points and 12 rebounds.

Makari Murphy led Bryan Station with 21 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Tania Woodall added 16 points and 15 rebounds.  Emily Gomez recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  5-8 Fr.
