West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Drew Marshall, 6-4 Jr. Braden Welch, 6-6 Jr. Gavin Salva, 5-11 Sr. Hogan Price, and 6-3 Jr. Daniel Waters.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall countered with 6-3 Fr. Andersen Green, 6-0 Sr. Jack Preston, 6-4 Jr. Ted Hall, 6-0 Fr. Hagan Preston, and 6-0 So. Brayden Mirus.

 

West Jessamine trailed 36-30 at halftime but rallied to earn a 72-65 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  There were nine lead changes and four ties in the game.  West Jessamine shot 43.1% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.  LCA shot 48.2% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored four points off four West Jessamine turnovers.

 

Drew Marshall led West Jessamine with 21 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and two assists.  Braden Welch added 21 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Daniel Waters recorded 18 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Gavin Salva chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

 

Hagan Preston led LCA with 12 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Brayden Mirus added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Tyler Hall recorded 12 points and four rebounds.  Andersen Green chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and six assists.

Cameryn Ridderikhoff.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 8th Grade Kierstin Young, 5-7 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Hall, and 5-6 8th Grade Belle Banner.  (Coach Helton’s team has been plagued with injuries with three starters Brianna Penney, Emma Price, and Tyra Young currently on the injured list).

 

Franklin County defeated Scott County by the score of 94-74.  Franklin County shot 37.4% from the field including 16 of 46 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 67 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 38.6% from the field including 12 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Jazmin Chambers led Franklin County with 18 points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Nevaeh Carter added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  6-0 Fr. Juliana Frazee recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Cameryn Ridderikhoff chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets.  5-7 Sr. Dorothy Gorman added 10 points including two three point baskets.  5-4 Sr. Lauren Meadows recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Patience Laster chipped in with three points, 16 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  JHaven Meade added four points and nine rebounds.

 

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 32 points including seven three point baskets, six rebounds, and four assists.  Kenady Tompkins added 22 points, seven rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Belle Banner recorded 11 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Kelsie Hall chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Great Crossing led 55-36 and withstood a late Simon Kenton rally to earn a 74-70 victory.  Great Crossing shot 49.1% from the field including 12 of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Warhawks connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 21 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 35.6% from the field including five of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 55 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Olivia Tierney led Great Crossing with 16 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Rachel Smith added 16 points including four three point baskets and three assists.  Timothi Williams recorded 14 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Raegan Barrett chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.  Ava Schureman recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Sereniti Webb led Simon Kenton with 19 points, 21 rebounds, and three assists.  Alexis Baker added 16 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Emilee Eggleston recorded nine points and seven rebounds.  Teanna Griffin chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  5-6 So. Jacob Meyer led Holy Cross with 53 points including 11 of 14 free throws and 21 of 33 from the field, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Javier Ward added 18 points including four three point baskets.  Sam Gibson pulled down nine rebounds and blocked three shots.

Great Crossing defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 73-63.  Great Crossing shot 49.1% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 12 of 26 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.  Lexington Christian Academy shot 42.35 from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Carson Walls added 12 points including five of seven free throws and three assists.  Vince Dawson III recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  6-3 Jr. Tye Schureman chipped in with nine points.

 

Brayden Mirus led Lexington Christian Academy with 18 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Tyler Hall added 16 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Connor Martin recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  6-0 Fr. Hagan Preston chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
