Bryan Station defeated Madison Central by the score of 21-13 to capture the district championship in a hotly contested game.  Madison Central was without the services of two of their top defenders Kenyatte Hardge (season ending ACL injury) and Edgren Sweatt (serving a suspension for being ejected from last week’s game) and was unable to stop the big play capability of the Bryan Station speedy receivers and the maneuverability of QB Trenton Cutwright.  Several times the Indians defenders came close but he managed to escape and make the big play.  Madison Central closed to within one; 14-13 with 2:55 left in the game on a two yard run by Brady Hensley.  Madison Central decided to go for two and Bryan Station was penalized half the distance to the goal line but Brady Hensley was stopped inches short of the goal line.  Madison Central’s defense forced a third-and-long but Trenton Cutwright found a streaking Javoen Hurt loose in the secondary and he took it 78 yards for the touchdown and the conversion kick made it 21-13.  Madison Central had one last chance but Bryan Station held for the victory.

Bryan Station recorded 15 first downs and 379 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized seven times for 42 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 17 first downs and 257 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized twice for 20 yards and lost a fumble.

Joseph Bond led Bryan Station’s ground game with 48 yards on 16 carries.  Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd added 28 yards on six carries.  Trenton Cutwright recorded 26 yards on seven carries.  Trenton Cutwright completed seven of 20 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Javoen Hurt caught three passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.  J’Marious Lindsay caught one pass for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Javoen Hurt returned one punt for 14 yards.  Amodeus Taylor returned a kickoff for 30 yards.  Jason Hocker led the defense with three solo and nine assisted tackles.  Antonio Davis added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Yedideyah Sledge recorded two solo and four assisted tackles.  JahMalachi Hood added three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.
