Madison Central held on to defeat Pikeville by the score of 21-19.  Madison Central raced out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but momentum changed early in the second quarter as Kenyatta Hardge left the game with a knee injury.  Madison Central led 21-10 after halftime but Pikeville chipped away and pulled within 2; 21-19 with 10:02 left in the game.  Pikeville decided to go for a two point conversion to tie the game but the pass failed.  Pikeville had a golden opportunity in the final three minutes but Brady Hensley came up with a big fumble recovery at the Madison Central four yard line to stop the drive.  Madison Central was forced to punt and Pikeville moved to the Madison Central 21 yard line but the drive stalled.  Pikeville was forced to attempt a 38 yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds.  The snap appeared to be hurried and Madison Central’s Caden Ellington appeared to get a hand on the attempt and the kick failed and Madison Central held on for the victory.  Both teams had ample opportunities to take control of the game but Pikeville suffered two lost fumbles and had a pass intercepted and Madison Central had two passes intercepted.
