Southwestern handed North Laurel their first defeat of the season by the score of 32-7.  Southwestern recorded 21 first do3wns and 464 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized 15 times for 150 yards.  North Laurel recorded 18 first downs and 215 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized 11 times for 120 yards and lost a fumble.

Giddeon Brainard led Southwestern’s ground game with 97 yards on nine carries.  Collin Burton added 73 yards on six carries.  Tanner Wright recorded 57 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Christian Walden chipped in with 49 yards on three carries.  Dylan Bland added 25 yards on five carries.  Connor Crisp carried the ball four times for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Collin Burton completed six of seven passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.  Maison Hibbard caught two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Brody Perkins added 35 yards on two receptions.  Dylan Bland caught a 20 yard touchdown pass. 

Tucker Warren led North Laurel’s ground game with 63 yards on 18 carries.  Jayce Hacker carried the ball 13 times for 52 yards.  Tucker Warren completed 13 of 23 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown.  Gavin Hurst caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Christian Larkey added five receptions for 24 yards.

Corbin remained undefeated with a 56-24 victory over Simon Kenton.  Corbin led 21-17 in the third quarter but finished the game on a 35-7 run.  Corbin recorded 20 first downs and 657 yards of total offense.  The Redhounds were penalized five times for 60 yards and lost one fumble.  Simon Kenton recorded 21 first downs and 416 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized three times for 21 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Seth Huff led Corbin’s ground game with 213 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.  Seth Mills added 11 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown.  Cameron Combs recorded 83 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Cameron Combs completed eight of 16 passes for 110 yards and one touchdown.  Kade Elam completed two of two passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  Treyveon Longmire caught five passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns.  Seth Mills and Zayne Hammack each intercepted a pass.

Chase Crone led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 154 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries.  Jayden Lawson added 149 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.  Chase Crone completed eight of 23 passes for 95 yards with two interceptions.  Luke Morrison caught four passes for 74 yards.  Zeb Sand returned three punts for 39 yards.  Chase Williams returned three kickoffs for 66 yards.  Josh Bowling led the defense with two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Chase Gill added one solo and six assisted tackles.  Mark Ober recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.

Covington Catholic defeated Boone County by the score of 39-6.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 371 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 78 yards and lost a fumble.  Boone County recorded seven first downs and 165 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 21 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Evan Pitze led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 82 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Reid Hummel carried the ball six times for 67 yards.  Robby Sandfoss added 38 yards on three carries.  Zion Mason and Brayden Collins each scored a rushing touchdown.  Evan Pitze completed 11 of 16 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns.  David Sullivan caught two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Nick Boydston caught a 51 yard touchdown pass.  Robby Sandfoss returned two kickoffs for 59 yards with a long return of 31 yards.  David Sullivan led the defense with six solo tackles.  Robby Sandfoss added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Aiden Jones recorded two solo and six assisted tackles.  Coby Klumb intercepted a pass.

Braden McCarty led Boone County’s ground game with 41 yards on one carry.  Jeremiah Williams added 17 yards on five carries.  Bruno Bi Villar completed six of eight passes for 38 yards with one interception.  Jamarion Hocker completed two of five passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Braxton Graves caught two passes for 18 yards.  Jashaun Pouncy added two receptions for 17 yards.  Skyler Sears caught a 24 yard touchdown pass.  Samuel Brown returned three kickoffs for 33 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  Cristian Byndon and Skyler Sears led the defense with four solo tackles each.  Noah Haynes recorded one solo tackles which resulted in a five yard loss and recovered a fumble.

Madison Central held on to defeat Pikeville by the score of 21-19.  Madison Central raced out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but momentum changed early in the second quarter as Kenyatta Hardge left the game with a knee injury.  Madison Central led 21-10 after halftime but Pikeville chipped away and pulled within 2; 21-19 with 10:02 left in the game.  Pikeville decided to go for a two point conversion to tie the game but the pass failed.  Pikeville had a golden opportunity in the final three minutes but Brady Hensley came up with a big fumble recovery at the Madison Central four yard line to stop the drive.  Madison Central was forced to punt and Pikeville moved to the Madison Central 21 yard line but the drive stalled.  Pikeville was forced to attempt a 38 yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds.  The snap appeared to be hurried and Madison Central’s Caden Ellington appeared to get a hand on the attempt and the kick failed and Madison Central held on for the victory.  Both teams had ample opportunities to take control of the game but Pikeville suffered two lost fumbles and had a pass intercepted and Madison Central had two passes intercepted.

Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 240 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 49 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Pikeville recorded 19 first downs and 306 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were not penalized tonight but lost two fumbles and had a pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led Madison Central’s ground game with 85 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  Hagan Harrison carried the ball eight times for 48 yards.  Kenyatta Hardge also scored on a two yard touchdown run.  Hagan Harrison completed three of eight passes for 84 yards with two interceptions.  Jayden West caught two passes for 68 yards.  Jeffrey Kinley led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Caden Ellington added three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Brady Hensley recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Logan Pierson chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles.  Brock Eads intercepted a pass and Cooper Mullins recovered a fumble.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 135 yards on 25 carries.  Brenden Anthony carried the ball three times for 25 yards.  Isaac McNamee added 20 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Isaac McNamee completed 14 of 21 passes for 125 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Wade Hensley caught six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Zac Lockhart added two receptions for 29 yards.  Blake Caudill returned three kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 24 yards.  Devin Derossett led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles.  Luke Ray also recorded two solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Aaron Slone added two solo and three assisted tackles.  Zac Lockhart recorded one solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted two passes he returned for 76 yards with a long return of 50 yards.

Scott County defeated Great Crossing by the score of 14-6 tonight in the “Battle of the Birds.”  Scott County recorded 18 first downs and 311 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized six times for 41 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Great Crossing recorded eight first downs and 216 yards of total offense.  The Warhawks were penalized five times for 35 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Montago Jones led Scott County’s ground game with 95 yards on 19 carries.  Jeremy Hamilton carried the ball seven times for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Ellis Hughley recorded 53 yards on 10 carries.  Andrew Hickey completed three of seven passes for 71 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Taylor Luttrull caught a 43 yard touchdown reception.  Jeremy Hamilton caught one pass for 16 yards.  Andrew Wilhite and Ellis Hughley each returned a kickoff for 15 and 13 yards respectively.  Jaxon Saylor led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles.  Paul Garner added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 18 yards.  Luke Valencia recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Jasante Harmon and Montago Jones each recovered a fumble.

Cayden Allen led Great Crossing’s ground game with 35 yards on seven carries.  Kalib Perry added 26 yards on four carries.  Gabe Nichols completed 10 of 23 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Zacharrey Kelly caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Kalib Perry added three receptions for 60 yards.  Jacob Coulter added three receptions for 36 yards.  Jacob Coulter returned three kickoffs for 66 yards.  Cayden Allen led the defense with six solo and 10 assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Mason Wiley added three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Jarvae Wray recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.  Kalib Perry chipped in with one solo and seven assisted tackles.  Peyton Harris intercepted a pass and Will Frazier recorded two solo tackles that resulted in losses totaling 26 yards and recovered a fumble.

Lafayette captured their first victory of the season with a 14-3 win on the road over George Rogers Clark.  Lafayette recorded eight first downs and 131 yards of total offense.  The generals were penalized four times for 34 yards and had one pass intercepted.  George Rogers Clark recorded eight first downs and 117 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Bryan Station continues to roll as they raced out to a 32-0 lead on their way to a 40-22 victory over city rival Henry Clay.  Bryan Station recorded 22 first downs and 479 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 12 times for 128 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded 12 first downs and 210 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 35 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd led Bryan Station’s ground game with 107 yards on two touchdowns.  Amodeus Taylor carried the ball four times for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Trenton Cutwright added 15 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Trenton Cutwright completed 18 of 30 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Javoen Hurt caught nine passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns.  J’Marious Lindsay added five receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Damin Green caught three passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Javoen Hurt returned one punt for 21 yards.  Damin Green returned two kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Jason Hocker led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with three of his losses totaling 29 yards and recovered a fumble.  JT Haskins Jr. added three solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned five yards.  Isaiah Watts also recorded three solo tackles.

Jacob Childress led Henry Clay’s ground game with 24 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Blake Van Horn completed 12 of 23 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and two touchdowns with one interception.  Kasen Parks caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Maddox Smith added three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Kasen Parks punted four times for a 48.0 average with a long punt of 55 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Kasen Parks returned three kickoffs for 62 yards with a long return of 31 yards.  Maddox Smith returned one kickoff for 18 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles.  Marcus Williams added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Z. Dabney recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned two yards.  Jadan Hackney added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.

DeSales took advantage of five Henry County turnovers and rolled to a 42-14 victory over Henry County.  DeSales recorded 10 first downs and 260 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized 12 times for 104 yards.  Henry County recorded 17 first downs and 250 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Luke Pfaadt led DeSales’ ground game with 150 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Devon Armstrong added 60 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Josh Brown, Kaleb Adkins, and David Griffith each scored on touchdown runs.  Jake Meeks was zero of one in the passing department.  Brandon William returned a punt 27 yards.  Brandon William intercepted one pass that he returned 50 yards for a touchdown.  Josh Brown, David Griffith, and Conner Dick also each intercepted a pass.

Sam Royalty led Henry County’s ground game with 69 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Trenton Hardy carried the ball 10 times for 31 yards.  Sam Royalty completed 11 of 28 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown with four interceptions.  Kevin Wix caught five passes for 36 yards.  Luke Lyons added three receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Kevin Wix returned three kickoffs for 62 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Luke Lyons returned two kickoffs for 23 yards with a long return of 18 yards.
