Dixie Height’s Colin Smith intercepted a pass in the end zone in the closing seconds to ensure Dixie Heights of a 28-21 victory over Highlands.  Dixie Heights raced out to a 21-7 lead in the second quarter but Highlands rallied to tie the game 21-21 in the third quarter.  Dixie Heights took a 28-21 lead on a Logan Landers 20 yard run and the conversion kick with 48 seconds left in the third quarter.  Highlands appeared to tie the game early in the fourth quarter but the referees ruled it was a double forward pass instead of a lateral and a forward pass therefore the play was called back.  Dixie Heights recorded 24 first downs and 379 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 55 yards.  Highlands recorded 16 first downs and 378 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized six times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.
