Bryan Station started the following lineup: Kailyn Gentry, Alicia Robinson, Chloe Do, Kierstyn Kelley, and Makara Murphy.  Madison Central coach Ashley Snow countered with Kendall Clines. Eden Carter, Presley Lochmuller, Brittany Campbell, and Nataya Strader.

 

Madison Central defeated Bryan Station by the score of 38-31.  The score was tied five times and there were four lead changes in this game.  Madison Central shot 33.3% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on only five of 21 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 31 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 35.7% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 20 Madison Central turnovers.

Bourbon County attempted 40 free throws on their way to a 47-42 victory over Madison Central.  There were five ties and three lead changes in this game.  Bourbon County took the control of the game with a 15-3 scoring advantage in the third quarter.  Bourbon County shot 39.1% from the field including three of six from beyond the arc.  They connected on 26 of 40 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 23% from the field including two of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 25 Bourbon County turnovers.

West Jessamine rallied to earn a 41-39 overtime victory over Madison Central.  There were two lead changes and five ties in the game.  Poor free throw shooting plagued Madison Central as they only connected on nine of 22 from the free throw line.  West Jessamine shot 30% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  They connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 23.7% from the field including two of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on nine of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 West Jessamine turnovers.

 

Isabella Lewis led West Jessamine with 20 points including three three point baskets, five of six free throws, five rebounds, and one blocked shot.  Ella Bolden added six points, 21 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Anaya Chestnut recorded six points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Danielle Aubry chipped in with six points on two three point baskets and two rebounds.

Madison Central outscored Lexington Catholic 26-3 in the second quarter on their way to a 56-26 victory.  Madison Central’s tenacious defense forced 34 points which they converted to 31 points and recorded 24 steals.  Madison Central shot 48.7% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 14 of 30 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and held a 22-7 advantage in bench scoring.  Lexington Catholic shot 27.6% from the field including zero of five from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on eight of 23 free throws, pulled own 34 rebounds, and scored seven points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Madison Central was led tonight by the “Fire” and “Ice” sister combo of Shelby and Bailey Hensley.  Shelby had not played this year due to an injury but led Madison Central tonight with nine points, six rebounds, and a steal in only 10 minutes before unfortunately leaving the game with an injury which would ultimately end her season.  Bailey Hensley  added 11 points and two steals.  Brittany Campbell recorded eight points, , three rebounds, and three steals.  Tiana Long chipped in with eight points, three assists, and two steals.  Eden Carter added seven points, three rebounds, and five steals.  Brooke Campbell recorded six points on two long range bombs, pulled down three rebounds, dished out three assists, and recorded six steals. 

 

Lydia Kennedy led Lexington Catholic with eight points and four rebounds.  Lucy Nash added four points and Peyton Mayo recorded two points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
