Lexington Christian Academy scored two late touchdowns and took advantage of two fourth quarter Somerset turnovers to earn a 28-21 road victory.  LCA led 14-0 at halftime but Somerset roared back with 21 unanswered points to take a 21-14 lead early in the fourth quarter.  LCA responded with two scores to earn the win.  Somerset was hampered through most of the final quarter as QB Kaiya Sheron’s mobility was limited due to a knee injury suffered early in the quarter.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 17 first downs and 450 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized 11 times for 110 yards and lost a fumble.  Somerset recorded 21 first downs and 430 yards of total offense.  The Briar Jumpers were penalized five times for 40 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Jeffrey Selby led LCA’s ground game with 43 yards on 13 carries.  Xavier Brown carried the ball eight times for 26 yards and two touchdowns.  Drew Nieves recorded 26 yards on nine carries.  Drew Nieves completed 18 of 27 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns.  Mason Moore caught nine passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns.  Xavier Brown added five receptions for 81 yards.  Jeffrey Selby recorded two receptions for 29 yards.  Mattie Lebryk led the defense with nine solo and seven assisted tackles with two defensive sacks.  Mason Moore added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Gabe Byrne recorded five solo tackles and two defensive sacks.  Anthony Johns recovered a fumble.  Parker Chaney intercepted two passes and Elijah Hammond intercepted one pass.

Chase Doan led Somerset’s ground game with 81 yards on 13 carries.  Kaiya Sheron carried the ball 11 times for 46 yards and two touchdowns.  Kaiya Sheron completed 19 of 36 passes for 280 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions.  Gavin Stevens caught four passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Kade Grundy added six receptions for 61 yards.  Chase Doan recorded four receptions for 54 yards.  Guy Bailey added two receptions for 43 yards.  Jarrod Smith led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Mikey Garland added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Dylan Keith recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.  Kaiya Sheron chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.

Murray defeated Caldwell County 41-34 in overtime.  Caldwell County’s Blake Vivrette kicked a 22 yard field goal in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the score at 34-34 to force overtime.  Murray went on offense first in overtime and scored on a two yard run by Rowdy Sokolowski and conversion kick by Caden Cain to take a 41-34 lead.  Caldwell County went on offense and on fourth down from the one yard line Baron Wells took the ball and dived into the pylon but after a discussion it was ruled he was short of the goal line and Murray held on for the victory.  Murray recorded 17 first downs and 353 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 11 times for 100 yards.  Caldwell County recorded 17 first downs and 374 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized seven times for 63 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Rowdy Sokolowski led Murray’s ground game with 118 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries.  Brendan Dahncke carried the ball 14 times for 89 yards and a touchdown.  Rowdy Sokolowski completed seven of 12 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns.  Zavion Carman caught one pass for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Orr caught one pass for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Biggers returned three kickoffs for 80 yards.  Brendan Dahncke returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  Andrew Orr led the defense with six solo tackles.  Ashkahn Nabavi added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Charvelle McCallister recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.  Brendan Dahncke intercepted a pass.

Russ Beshear led Caldwell County’s ground game with 67 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Baron Wells carried the ball six times for 21 yards.  Russ Beshear completed 15 of 20 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Baron Wells caught nine passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns.  Tripp Branch added two receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Baron Wells returned one punt for 22 yards.  Max Kramer returned four kickoffs for 73 yards.  Baron Wells returned two kickoffs for 41 yards.  Elijah Shaheen led the defense with eight solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Russ Beshaer added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Evan Legassey kicked a 47 yard field goal as time expired to earn a 31-29 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Troy led 28-17 after three quarters but Eastern Kentucky rallied and took a 29-28 with 21 seconds left in the game on a four yard pass from Parker McKinney to Keyion Dixon but a two point conversion attempt failed.  Troy then mounted a three play drive which culminated in the game winning field goal.  Troy recorded 27 first downs and 507 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 88 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 21 first downs and 425 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 40 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Kimani Vidal led Troy’s ground attack with 143 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  BJ Smith carried the ball 15 times for 46 yards.  Gunnar Watson completed 26 of 38 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kaylon Geiger caught seven passes for 100 yards.  BJ Smith added six receptions for 96 yards.  Reggie Todd caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Khalli McClain added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Tez Johnson returned two punts for 16 yards.  Reggie Todd returned six kickoffs for 134 yards with a long return of 35 yards.  Kaylon Geiger returned one kickoff for 37 yards.  KJ Robertson led the defense with two solo and nine assisted tackles.  C. Martial added two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Deil Pettus recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.  Terrence Dunlap added three assisted tackles, two pass break ups, and one interception.

Alonzo Booth led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 39 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Parker McKinney completed 30 of 47 passes for 370 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Keyion Dixon caught eight passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns.  Jacquez Jones added eight receptions for 75 yards.  Jackson Beerman caught six passes for 57 yards.  Allante Leapheart returned one punt for 10 yards.  Davion Ross returned three kickoffs for 58 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Kaleb Lundy led the defense with two solo and nine assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Joseph Sayles, Kabbash Richards, and Eli Hairston each recorded three solo and six assisted tackles.  Matthew Jackson recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Kmare Carey returned one pass he returned 18 yards.  Elijah Taylor recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass.

Simon Kenton took a 41-20 in the final quarter before Campbell County rallied to score two late touchdowns to make the final score Simon Kenton 41 Campbell County 34.  Chase Crone led the Pioneers with four touchdown passes three of them going to Trey Little.  Simon Kenton recorded 25 first downs and 520 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized five times for 55 yards.  Campbell County recorded 22 first downs and 355 yards of total offense.  The Camels were penalized four times for 40 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 91 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Chase Crone carried the ball 21 times for 68 yards.  Reed Carmony added 39 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Chase Crone completed 18 of 35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns.  Trey Little caught eight passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns.  Marcus Courtney added three receptions with 66 yards and a touchdown.  Luke Morrison caught four passes for 49 yards.  Josh Bowling led the defense with five solo and dive assisted tackles with one tackle resulting in a loss.  Nate Walker added six solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 29 yards.  Joe Vormbrock recorded six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss.  Brennon Miller added three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards.  Landon Meyer also intercepted a pass.

Crosley Gray led Campbell County’s ground game with 80 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Justin Little carried the ball 12 times for 31 yards.  Preston Agee carried the ball once for 11 yards and a touchdown.  Justin Little completed 17 of 36 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions.  Eric Davie caught seven passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.  Crosley Gray caught one pass for 36 yards.  Preston Agee added four receptions for 36 yards and two touchdowns.  Brayden Lewis returned three kickoffs for 46 yards.  Kaden Marency led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss.  Sam Sprinkle added six solo tackles.  Preston Agee recorded five solo tackles.

Covington defeated Highlands by the score of 42-0.  Covington Catholic recorded 19 first downs and 446 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 58 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Highlands recorded 14 first downs and 242 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized once for two yards and had one pass intercepted.

Caleb Jacob led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Ryan Schnieder carried the ball six times for 72 yards.  Adam Holtz recorded 58 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Owen Nally carried the ball 12 times for 49 yards.  Reid Hummel chipped in with 33 yards on four carries.  Caleb Jacob completed seven of 14 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Ethan Reardon caught six passes for 88 yards.  Garrett Benke caught an 11 yard touchdown pass.  Isaiah Roedig returned one kickoff for 34 yards.  Josh Summe led the defense with eight solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Dallas Wirth added six solo tackles.  Ben Dickhaus recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Sam France chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Tad Drees intercepted a pass.

George Rogers Clark defeated Madison Central tonight by the score of 48-15.  George Rogers Clark recorded 22 first downs and 508 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 70 yards.  Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 216 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 10 times for 92 yards.

Azariah Israel led GRC’s ground game with 128 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries.  Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd carried the ball eight times for 85 yards and a touchdown.  Kareem Guerrant recorded 37 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Jordan Manley completed 15 of 25 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns.  Dawson Gay caught 10 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown.  Tate Spayd added three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Tate Richardson returned one kickoff for 42 yards.  Jeremy Clem led the defense with one solo and seven assisted tackles.  Braxton O’Hara added two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Angus Mann recorded one solo and four assisted tackles.

Nathan Storie led Madison Central’s ground game with 57 yards on eight carries.  Kenyatta Hardge carried the ball three times for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Snyder recorded 20 yards on six carries.  Nathan Storie completed two of 10 passes for 83 yards and one touchdown.  Canon Scenters completed four of nine passes for 18 yards.  Zach Holbrook caught two passes for 11 yards.  Jayden West caught a 72 yard touchdown pass.  Jeffrey Kinley led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Edgren Sweatt added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Anthony McLaughlin recorded two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Elijah Carter added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss.

Paul Laurence Dunbar’s defense forced six turnovers and held Henry Clay to 58 yards of total offense in a 20-0 shutout victory over the Blue Devils.  Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 204 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized four times for 30 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded eight first downs and 58 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 65 yards, lost two fumbles, and had four passes intercepted.

Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 78 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.  Jake Smith completed 12 of 23 passes for 72 yards and one touchdown.  Shyhiem Drew caught three passes for 39 yards.  Luke Olive caught an eight yard touchdown pass.  Oumar Toure returned one kickoff for 25 yards.  Mason Hayslett led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  John Law added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards and scored on a 10 yard fumble recovery return.  Josiah Brown recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Weston Holloman intercepted two passes and Frank Illunga and Oumar Toure each intercepted one pass.

William Webb led the Henry Clay ground game with 14 yards on eight carries.  Christian Barrentine completed seven of 22 passes for 84 yards with four interceptions.  Maddox Smith caught three passes for 49 yards.  Darik Holman added two receptions for 33 yards.  William Webb led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Darik Holman added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted one pass he returned 49 yards.  Christian Ponce recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Noah Whaley chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Lafayette captured their first victory of the season with a 22-13 victory over Tates Creek.  Lafayette entered the game with a 0-3 record and had not scored this season.  This was a game with bizarre statistics as Lafayette scored all 22 points today either by the defense or by special teams.  The Generals scored on a punt return, a fumble recovery return, an interception return, a field goal, and an extra point conversion kick.  Lafayette recorded six first downs and 31 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 52 yards and lost two fumbles.  Tates Creek recorded 12 first downs and 210 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 77 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Noah Chapman led Lafayette’s ground game with 25 yards on seven carries.  Hayden Dawahare completed nine of 19 passes for 59 yards.  Darreon Stewart caught three passes for 25 yards.  Trey Wilson III returned two kickoffs for 125 yards with a long return of 78 yards and returned five punts for 77 yards with a 38 yard return for a touchdown.  JaeWON Kendrick returned one kickoff for 67 yards.  Jack Harris led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards, intercepted a pass he returned 28 yards and scored on a fumble return.  Mike Taylor added five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Ta Sanders recorded two solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards for a touchdown.  Trey Wilson III intercepted a pass and JaeWON Kendrick recovered a fumble.

Matt Underwood led Tates Creek with 69 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Aaron Klein carried the ball 10 times for 46 yards.  Aaron Klein completed seven of 29 passes for 42 yards with three interceptions.  Treepon Broadus caught two passes for 19 yards.  Keshon Douthitt returned one punt for 14 yards.  Kobe Middleton returned two kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 28 yards.  Logan Julian led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 27 yards.  JT Acosta added four solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Konner Miller recorded two solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling 13 yards.  Matt Underwood and Kobe Middleton each recovered a fumble.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 38-0 halftime lead on their way to a 52-0 shutout of Bourbon County.  Lexington Catholic recorded 19 first downs and 380 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized five times for 45 yards.  Bourbon County recorded seven first downs and 93 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 14 times for 117 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Jack Gohmann led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 92 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Darin Eldridge carried the ball 13 times for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Hall added 13 yards and two touchdowns on four carries.  Jack Gohmann completed 17 of 21 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns.  Jackson Klein caught four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Corbett added four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.  JD Woodall returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown and returned a punt for 13 yards.  Jack Powell led the defense with six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Pearce Hall added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Ryder McCraith recovered a fumble and JD Woodall intercepted a pass.

Scott County’s Campton Martin was everywhere tonight for the Cardinals leading his team to a 69-6 victory over Montgomery County.  Marin scored on runs of 25 and 83 yards, caught a touchdown pass of 47 yards, scored on a 74 yard interception return, and recovered a fumble.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 361 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 49 yards and lost a fumble.  Montgomery County recorded 10 first downs and 196 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized three times for 14 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Campton Martin led Scott County’s ground game with 120 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.  Hayden Jones carried the ball eight times for 102 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Luke Colvin carried the ball once for 33 yards.  Logan Jones and Jackson Albensi each scored a touchdown on the ground.  Zane Patton completed three of four passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  Campton Martin and Kam Lay each caught a touchdown pass of 47 and 10 yards.  Cade Tackett led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  AJ Young added four solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 42 yards with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Cayden Marshall also recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.  Logan Jones recorded two tackles which resulted in losses totaling 28 yards and intercepted a pass he returned 53 yards.  Campton Martin intercepted a pass he returned 74 yards.  Jeremy Hamilton and Campton Martin each recovered a fumble.

Devin Johnson led Montgomery County’s ground game with 82 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.  Alex Hatton completed seven of 26 passes for 141 yards with three interceptions.  Devin Taul caught five passes for 95 yards.  Tanner Donathan caught one pass for 36 yards.  Corey Barber returned nine kickoffs for 149 yards with a long return of 42 yards.  Alex Ison led the defense with two solo and two assisted tackles.  Rodney Potts added two solo and one assisted tackles.  D.
