Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. Keelee King, 6-1 Fr. Hallie Brown, 6-0 Sr. McKenzi Himes, 5-5 Sr. Shelby Newland, and 5-11 Jr. Casey Coleman.  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Jr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-9 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-4 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum.

 

Rockcastle County defeated Madison Central by the score of 68-40.  Rockcastle County shot 54% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Rockets connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 36.6% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored four points off seven Rockcastle County turnovers.

 

Casey Coleman led Rockcastle County with 16 points including five of five free throws, three rebounds, and three assists.  Keelee King added 15 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Hallie Brown recorded eight points, six rebounds, seven assists, and two blocked shots.  McKenzi Himes chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.  Tre King added 13 points and four rebounds.  Ty Taylor recorded 13 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.  Michael Moreno chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists.  6-10 Fr. Tariq Balogun also reached double figures with 10 points and three rebounds.  6-9 Sr. Lachlan Anderson recorded nine points and seven rebounds.

George Rogers Clark dominated play tonight to earn a 63-26 victory over Woodford County in their first game in their new gymnasium.  GRC shot 44.8% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 23 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 26.3% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Yellow Jackets connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored three points off eight GRC turnovers.

 

Kennedy Igo led GRC with 20 points including four three point baskets and two steals.  Brianna Byars added 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Tyra Flowers recorded nine points, nine rebounds, and five steals.  Shelbi Wilson chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Trinity Gay added four points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

 

Abby Moffett led Woodford County with nine points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Delaney Enlow added six points, three rebounds, and four blocked shots.  6-1 Sr. Kayla Harlow recorded four points and eight rebounds.
