Estill County coach Ruth Hughes started the following lineup: 5-7 Fr. Haley Angel, 5-6 Sr. Kaylee Riddell, 5-7So. Hannah Baker, 5-4 7^th Grade Jayci Long, and 5-7 So. Mia Hale.  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Jr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-9 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-4 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum.

Madison Central defeated Estill County 57-56 in a game that had more twists and turns than a good spy novel.  There were eight ties and seven lead changes in the game. It started out with Madison Central’s Taleya Todd recording her 1,000 career points on her first basket.  Estill County led 18-16 after the first quarter but Estill County’s Haley Angel picked up two fouls and went to the bench and Madison Central took a 30-20 halftime lead.  Estill County rallied in the third quarter to tie the score at 39-39 after three quarters as Madison Central’s Jekauri McKeithen and Taleya Todd got in foul trouble.  Estill County took a 51-43 lead mid way through the final quarter but the Indians battled back and took a 56-54 lead on a Taleya Todd layup.  Mia Hale tied the score at 56-56.  Estill County lost Kaylee Riddell via the foul route.  Eve Carter hit the second of two free throws to give Madison Central a 57-56 lead with six seconds left on the clock.  Estill County had the ball but a foul on Madison Central was not called by the referee because a time out had been granted to the Estill County bench a split-second earlier.  Estill County got the play they wanted as Haley Angel was fouled on a drive to the basket with less than a second left.  Angel who had previously connected on 11 of 12 free throws missed both free throws and Madison Central held on for the victory.

Madison Central shot 38.8% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 17 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 19 Estill County turnovers.  Estill County shot 50% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Engineers connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored four points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 19 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Taleya Todd added 13 points and two blocked shots.  Gretchen Hammitt recorded eight points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Eve Carter chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Haley Angel led Estill County with 15 points including 11 of 14 free throws, four rebounds, and three steals in only 18 minutes of playing time.  Mia Hale added 14 points, seven points, and four assists.  Jayci Long chipped in with nine points.  Hannah Baker added seven points, five assists and two blocked shots.  Kaylee Riddell recorded six points, seven rebounds, and five steals.

Nate Turner, 5-4 Sr. Colby Sebastian, and 5-11 Sr. Hunter Buchanan.

Paul Laurence Dunbar pulled ahead late to defeat Madison Southern 58-54 in a hotly contested game.  There were seven ties and nine lead changes in the game.  Dunbar held a 18-12 advantage in offensive rebounds and a 15-5 advantage in second chance points.  Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 33.9% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 32.7% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 Dunbar turnovers.

Nick Spalding led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 23 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Tim Hall Jr. added 11 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Zach Carter recorded nine points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-8 So Lionel Kumwimba added two points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. 

Chad Fugate led Madison Southern with 31 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, and four steals.  Hunter Buchanan added 10 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Nate Turner, Jonah Wooten, and 6-0 Sr. Samuel Lee pulled down seven, six, and six rebounds respectively.

Somerset raced out to a 15-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 53-32 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  Somerset shot 36.5% from the field including nine of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady Jumpers connected on six of six free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 34.2% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Somerset turnovers.

Lauren Foutch led Somerset with 21 points including five three point baskets and eight rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Madison Garland added 13 points including three three point baskets.  5-5 Fr. Kate Bruner recorded four points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Madison Southern outscored CKHS 27-8 in the third quarter on their way to an 87-59 victory over the Spartans.  Madison Southern shot 49.2% from the field including 16 of 33 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 26 CKHS turnovers.  CKHS shot 41.3% from the field including nine of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Madison Southern turnovers.

Chad Fugate led Madison Southern with 22 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Hunter Buchanan added 16 points including three three point baskets.  Nate Turner recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Jayden Adams chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists.  Samuel Lee recorded five points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Terrin Hamilton led Scott County with 34 points including seven of eight free throws and 10 rebounds.  Aaron Leake added 12 points including seven of 10 free throws.  6-1 So. Jeremy Hamilton recorded six points and four rebounds.
