Garrard County coach Ryan Young started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Brayden Sebastian, 6-1 Jr. Hudson Cornett, 6-1 Jr. Brandon Brooks, 5-4 8th Grade Montavin Quisenberry, and 6-0 Sr. Trevor Holman. Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-2 Sr. Jonah Wooten, 6-1 Sr. Chad Fugate, 6-4 So. Nate Turner, 5-4 Sr. Colby Sebastian, and 5-11 Sr. Hunter Buchanan.
Madison Southern defeated Garrard County by the score of 80-59. Madison Southern shot 52.7% from the field including 10 of 29 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 18 Garrard County. Garrard County shot 40.8% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Golden Lions connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Madison Southern turnovers.
Chad Fugate led Madison Southern with 26 points including five three point baskets. Fugate also joined the 1,000 point club at the 7:30 point in the third quarter and finished the game with 1,010 points for his career. Nate Turner added 14 points. 6-0 Sr. Samuel Lee recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Hunter Buchanan chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.
Brayden Sebastian led Garrard County with 24 points including two three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, seven rebounds, and two assists. Sebastian scored all his points in the second half. Brandon Brooks added 12 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Hudson Cornett recorded 11 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.
