Covington Catholic trailed 32-31 at halftime but rallied in the second half to outscore Conner 40-16 to earn a 71-48 victory.  Covington Catholic shot 61% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.  Conner shot 29.8% from the field including eight of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and committed five turnovers.

Donovan Stocks led Covington Catholic with 19 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Grant Disken added 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and two steals.  Noah Hupmann recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and seven blocked shots.  5-9 Jr. Reece Murphy chipped in with nine points and five assists.  Neil Green added eight points and five rebounds.

Great Crossing raced out to a 26-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 95-64 victory over Iroquois.  So much for a discussion about a shot clock as the Warhawks put up 88 shots from the field in a 32 minute game.  Great Crossing shot 46.6% from the field including six of 25 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Iroquois turnovers.  Iroquois shot 44% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on 18 of 31 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Great Crossing turnovers.

Braylee McMath led Great Crossing with 22 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and seven steals.  Raegan Barrett added 19 points and seven rebounds.  Timothi Williams recorded 14 points and five steals.  5-8 So. Madison Southern outscored Model 22-6 in the second quarter to take a 36-21 halftime lead on their way to a 65-53 victory over Model.  Madison Southern shot 38.8% from the field including five of 25 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Model turnovers.  Model shot 46.7% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on six of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.

Caylan Mills, and 5-5 8^th Grade Timberly Fredrick.  (Seven players saw action for Knox Central tonight: four 8^th Graders, two Sophs, and a Junior).  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Jr. Raelynn Miller, 5-8 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-4 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum.

Madison Central escaped with a 51-50 victory over Knox Central tonight.  There were four ties and two lead changes in the game.  The Lady Panthers had one last chance for the victory but Madison Central’s 5-10 Jr. Gretchen Hammitt came up with a loose ball in the lane to ensure the victory. Knox Central’s Presley Partin was hampered with fouls in the first half and was limited to five minutes in the first half and only tallied two points.  However she returned in the second half to end up with 19 points.   Madison Central shot 41.1% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on two of nine free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Knox Central turnovers.  Knox Central shot 33.3% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 16 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots.  Brianna Bierbaum added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Eve Carter recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Taleya Todd chipped in with eight points.

Ohio County defeated Lafayette in overtime by a score of 86-84.  The score was tied eight times and there were 12 lead changes in the game.  The game was punctuated by long range bombing as Ohio County connected on 16 treys while Lafayette connected on 13 three point baskets.

Ohio County shot 51.7% from the field including 16 of 34 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 50.8% from the field including 13 of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Ohio County turnovers.
